That Went Quick

What am I on about ? I could pick and choose at the moment. How about January ? That went quick, or is it just me ? One minute we were all celebrating the new year, with or without goals and targets. The next minute we're into February and this time round they've pinched a day off us. Sneaky.(Actually they gave us a day, my bad, running on fumes)

Since being here at WA, my perception of time has altered. I used to think about things in weeks and only occasionally in days. Now it's shifted to days and more often than not, hours. What's changed ? Maybe I have more to do now. It's true that I have, but that's voluntary. It's realising how much there is to learn. It's not overwhelming though, I will just have to become more discerning in my choices of subject matter.

How do you decide what is relevant and what's not ? It reminds me of that quote by Donald Rumsfeld:

"As we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know."

Obviously it's decidedly out of context but the gist isn't far off when it comes to selecting where

we should focus our efforts when it comes to learning. Shall we have one more 'head-twister' ?

That little gem was by Confucius. I've only just noticed that 'Confusion' isn't that far off Confucius. Can anyone tell I've been stuck in a car for over five hours ?

While we're off topic, can I just say a huge thank you to those of you that added 'menu items' of the bizarrely wonderful variety. There are some real 'face-pullers' (like when you eat something really sour) in amongst them. If you have any weird food concoctions, please feel free to add them here.
Apparently, or so I have been told, I need to make a book out of them. Have I not got enough to do ?

I mentioned about turning them into a book in a comment yesterday. Title wise I was going with 'Fifty Shades of Green- Foods that make you....' The last bit was undecided. I tried a few different endings that didn't quite cut it and then Alex (AlexandraT11) came up with a perfect fit (Thank you). So now we have.

"Fifty Shades of Green- Foods That Make You Hurl"

Not quite what I had in mind when I first thought about writing a book. Still, we all have to start somewhere.

I have taken up far too much of your precious time, I can feel myself starting to waffle. A perfect time to stop. That went quick and I didn't actually manage to get to the point, I don't think. Maybe there was no point, It's Saturday night afterall. I think I'm just in that 'happy place' that always comes after delivery day. It's the thought that I now have three whole weeks ahead of me. So much to do and three weeks in which to do it, boy I'm excited.
