Someone Is Playing With Me (Groundhog Day Emails)
Someone, or indeed something, is playing with me. (It could well be the flies, not that I'm becoming obsessed or anything). Further explanation of 'Groundhog Day emails' is warranted though.
Yesterday was a busy day, busier than usual as I knew that I wouldn't have much time online today. As it turned out, it was a wasted day as the delivery I was expecting never arrived.
I did relocate and rehang the side gate though, so there was that. Anyway, what's done is done, I am sure I'm not the only one that has waited in all day on the promise of goods being delivered.
Deep breath, moving on now. I shall post about today's adventures another time, as the hour is late and I have something else I wanted to run by you.
When, after the evening's routines had been attended to, I finally sat down at the computer and set about going through the various notifications that had accumulated in my absence.
Nothing unusual there, I am sure we are all faced with a backlog of emails when we haven't managed to go online for an extended period of time. In fact, I am sure that many of you face this daunting task daily, even when you haven't gone AWOL. No biggy.
After about an hour and a half I had managed to sift through the majority of them. As I was clearing a path, a few more would descend from the hand of the postmaster general, sometimes almost as quickly as I was dealing with them, one out one in.
All through this I never seemed to get to bottom of the stack that was in my 'other' inbox. I never paid much attention until I noticed one particular email that I was sure I had already deleted.
Having quickly dispatched the duplicate I find that another seven have appeared, all clones of previously deleted emails. I subsequently ousted them and returned to something I was reading on another tab.
When I had finished whatever I was studying I returned to my inbox and was surprised to find that I was back in double figures. No prizes for guessing what was back in my 'other' inbox.
This has continued throughout the night and as I sit here writing, the 'undeleted eight' have once again taken up residence.
I believe there is some irony afoot here, in so much as I spent all day waiting for something that never came and I have spent a good portion of the night dealing with something that won't stop coming.
Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced this phenomenon ? Anyway, I am sure once I shut everything down and restart in the morning they will no longer hound me.
(No emails have been harmed during the making of this post, however, I cannot guarantee that will be the case if they return tomorrow)
Have a good one.

Sometimes that can happen to me too. Lol.
Eventually those bugs will be fixed.
Have a good evening.

Oh my. I know you must be tired of them but I do find these duplicating emails amusing. I've never heard of such.

I was grinning each time they came through. There was a kind of excited trepidation, wondering if they would reappear.

Waiting on the mailman, too!
My debit cards expired and replacements disappeared, so we wait, ...7-10 business days. One came, today!
Meantime, I get more garbage sent to my text messages! I'm tried of weight loss ads, as I'm NOT in need of that!
...and thank you, ...the election is over.
Blocking? Yep! But another one finds me...GROAN.
Distracting for sure!
WA emails? ...I go to the top and search WA, and that filters out all the others, and keeps me focused.
Thanks for sharing! We are never alone!
Best!

The daily trials and tribulations of an online marketeer. Every once in a while I will make an effort to 'unsubscribe' as I still have to check the 'junk' folder, just in case something important falls through the net.
Luckily, I am not a prolific phone user, so I get minimal texts.
