Google Is Now My BFF.
I really need to pay more attention, sometimes things just walk right by me.
Well, if personified, it would be the face of a child that's just opened their main birthday present to find, that instead of the latest video game console, they've found two volumes of Encyclopedia Britannica and a note in the card with the promise of more to come if they pass their year-end finals. One still has to be thankful.
I shall kick aside the tumble weed and trudge on, wary but not put off. I bring glad tidings. Google has done me a 'solid', though, I know not what it is, exactly. I received an email from the 'Goliath' the other day. It stated that it had 'Fixed' some coverage issues.
Now, at various intervals in my recent past I have seen posts about 'Errors' on members sites. These have been bought to their attention when using 'Google Analytics' (Or all the other variations of that. Console, Webmaster Tools etc. Not really sure .com)
The answer I hung on to was from a member saying, not to worry about it, I'll take that. If memory serves it was to do with the posts/pages having 'No Index' and 'No Follow' ticked. Most of this is beyond me, sorry.
So, I've had two pages that have come up with errors that need 'fixing' but they were the 'Privacy Policy' and the 'Affiliate Disclaimer' pages, both having been set up as above. I have just ignored this, it does 'grate' slightly but it's not worth tapping Mr. Google on the shoulder and 'having a word.'
So a day or so after having the 'Adsense' go ahead, the above email appeared, seemingly having resolved my issues, 'unbeknownst' to me. How nice.
I wonder, now reading back through this, if Google does some 'tidying up' because it wants the 'Ads' to run smoothly ? So following on from that, can one assume that Google prioritises based on its own needs rather than the need of its users, or is that just me being a touch cynical ?
I'm assuming someone has knowledge of all this type of goings-on ?
For now, I've asked 'G',as I like to call him, if he'd like to go out for coffee one lunchtime, as a thank you. Just as friends you understand, professional and platonic.

Hellooo Daisy, it's not for everyone, it seems. It's a bit 'Marmite' as I like to sya, love it or hate it. For me, it has complimented rather than detracted from my site. Is that a good or bad thing ? Who knows. I've added my 'journey' below, for your perusal.
Personally, I don't mind the ads on my site, visually and if they bring in extra 'free' revenue, then that suits me just fine and dandy. Google AdSense MADsense Make Sense ? Ads.txt And Adsense Update Plus Other Stuff And Nonsense Is there light at the end of your 'busy time' tunnel ?
Who really knows how Google works.Great One day, terrible the next. I've never quite dared to call Google 'Mr' as I'm not sure of it's gender, and I didn't want to stand on anyone's toes.. I did at one stage think of calling this monster 'Moz', then I realised that this was taken. Jim
"Ours is not to reason why..." and all that, I suppose. I read some posts and wonder if I'll ever understand what they're about.
It's all good Cindy, not a problem, more an anomaly. Thanks for popping though. Consider yourself 'Followed'.
