Enough Already. How many Parties Can We Have ?

I know, I know. I'm sure I heard someone say 'Enough already' and I agree. I had only just finished shovelling bodies, bottles and banners, out of the lounge after last night's 300th post party (Is that a party after a party ?) The short answer to 'How many parties can we have ?' is, as many as we like.

Again, I was in two minds, which is less than the normal seven minds, as to how to broach this particular milestone. I had a post lined up, all about Swedish 'Tall grass' but after you've written that it is tall grass that is indigenous to Sweden, there's not much more to tell, well may be a bit more.

Then I read Christine's post 'Decisions, Decisions' and the last line stuck with me.

"And we will all be here to give you the standing ovation with every milestone and success!"

Combine that with Heidi's line in one of her comments, 'When you're hot, you're hot' I didn't really have any choice, now did I ?

It is what it is and no longer shy away from these occasions. I embrace them fully, as that is part of my approach in 2020. This is year is going to be monumental for many of us, a great many of us. I now understand (a little slow on the uptake sometimes) how important these types of posts are. As we mentioned the other day, about looking inside ourselves, I just had to look at how I react when I see other members celebrating one success or another. It makes me warm and fuzzy. I can feel their joy as much as I feel anothers sorrow.

I felt it this morning when I read of Stanley's amazing achievement, by becoming an Ambassador. Feel free to join the congratulatory parade.

I challenge anyone not to feel that small well of excitement when you get the notification that

your article has just been indexed (still waiting for three of mine to get it, been just over a week, Sigh). As much as we celebrate for ourselves we also do it so that others can be encouraged. For many of the new members that have only just started out, getting indexed is a huge deal. Seeing others post about their achievements will spur them onto do the same.

ASPIRE TO INSPIRE

Anyway, it did come as a surprise, a nice surprise. I thought about last time, when I hit number seven and what the actual number means, in numerological circles (Jules, one for you again) I did a quick search and here's one of the interpretations I found, courtesy of numerology dot com.

"While the 6 is considered the most harmonious of all single-digit numbers, it is not without its flaws and upsets. The most important influence of the 6 is its loving and caring nature. Properly nicknamed the motherhood number, it is all about sacrificing, caring, healing, protecting and teaching others. No family or community can function without the power of the 6 to keep them together and safe. She is the glue that keeps a family or community together."

Now, my stay at number six may be short in tenure but I like the above write-up. It is certainly something I would like to adhere to regardless of the number I'm at.

Just to show that it's not all butterflies and silver lined clouds for me, the following reminds me that life can help keep your feet on the ground. I'll keep it brief though, as I know you're busy.

I few weeks ago I mentioned that I'd had to do 'The walk of shame' after forgetting to scan a couple of items during the weekly shop. I took it with good grace. Well, since that happened, the amount of 'random' checks has increased. I understand that but it's been almost every time we've shopped. Thursday of last week, I once again, subjected to another check. The amount of time they have to check is normally based on the size of your shop, makes sense. I had two bags worth but the 'check' seemed to go on forever. Guess what ? Three loaves of bread but only one scanned. Yep, I'd done it again. It wouldn't surprise me if they don't ban us from using the scan system. No shame this time, I walked proudly to the naughty step and proceeded to repack everything whilst it was all accounted for.

Last one, then I'll leave you be. We've had the tail end of 'Storm Ciara' here in the UK, over the

last couple of days. Some gale force winds and a few short bouts of torrential rain, where we are. The last time we had this type of storm, a tile left the front of our roof and happily landed on one of the cars, denting the roof and smashing the windscreen. This time, one of the tiles from the rear of the roof, took flight and managed to smash one of the glass panels in the conservatory. Sticky tape and a couple of buckets will suffice for the time-being.

See, it's not all sunshine and roses, It's not the end of the world either. Stuff happens. In the process of making this post I have also learnt a thing or two about the resizing of images, JPEG and PNG file types and my PHP configuration.

I'll take that any day of the week. More so today, as today is Magical Monday. Make a wish, who knows what might happen.

Twack Romero.

Can't argue with that lucidity ;

He wrote "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" which was one of those books that really resonated.

Wow loads to celebrate this week and it’s only Monday!!

Twack I love reading your posts but never ever say “it is what it is” please.... it drives me NUTS!! Lol🤣

Storm Ciara has been a nightmare today for me trying to get into London this morning. Two trains cancelled and the next four delayed... I rolled up soaking wet from the downpour and an hour late for my meeting! Luckily it was with one of the train companies so they understood! 😓

Magical Monday.... I hope more for a tantalising Tuesday! 🤣

Thank you Alex.
I love the irony of your tale of lateness, it did make me smile.
It has been known fo rme to adopt a few cliches here and there but I will try and mix it up a bit. Dick Surphen did some really good audio books (Zen and the like) He used to say "What is, is" which I quite liked as well. Probably to close though.
Everyday is magical, we just never quite know what it has in store for us.

It was ironic but I was thankful as they wouldn’t have been so understanding maybe. What is, is sounds better. Everybody in my workplace says it is what it is and it is constant. Lol very annoying but.... what is,is 🤣

The power of negotiation and compromise is strong.

Wow, Twack great post, congrats on the number rank, not quite sure how to respond on the scanning fiasco but that's life throwing a curve ball when you're on a roll.

I'm not quite sure Storm Ciara is finished either judging by the bitter cold stormy weather we are still experiencing here in Ireland, I think there is more to dump on the UK!!

Spot on too with your Six research...I found the attached image which I feel sums you up quite well 😜

I think you're right about the storm. I've MacGyver'd the broken glass as best I can but will leave the buckets in place, just for now. Life keeping me on my toes, doesn't want me to get complacent.
I like you research and although my daliance with six might be fleeting, I have one in my birth date, so I'll use that one instead.
Thanking you muchly Jules, always grateful for your thoughts.

Back for a proper comment. celebrate the magic indeed. With you all the way on that Twack. The question has to be: Are you inviting those walks of shame? What is it that you're putting out there? That was two questions but just wondering . . . On indexing, I know they all get indexed so I stopped index watching a while back because it got so confusing. I noticed that I had published a handful of posts and they were all indexed very quickly. Woo Hoo, celebrate. The next time I looked I think I had published 4 more posts and my stats still said the same as earlier. Then they caught up, I had more indexed than posts recently published. I know they will be indexed because that's what I'm putting out there thanks to WAtraining application. After reading Jules on numbers, I started paying attention and started looking up any that seemed . . .well they just "seemed". So I started making up random numbers and have to say, the descriptions didn't seem anything. Interesting. Sometimes the magic speaks for itself. The Bangles got it wrong from my POV; no such thing as a Manic Monday; it's spectwackular. S

Hello again an dthnak you again. Now I know what POV stands for, I am so last year.
I have theory about the 'walk of shame'. We also scan at home, part of one of those 'data' collection thingies, not sure what they're called. We scan every item but on our scanner it has the option for the quantity. Scan it once and add the amount, whereas at the supermarket, you have to scan every item. Both times it has been because I just scanned once instead of the proper amount of goods. On this occassion, it was bread, one instead of three. I will do better next time.
Spectwackular rocks my boat.
As for indexing, I remembered that Janie had done a post that I kept wanting to make a note of. It just made a lot of sense. I found it, starred it and here it is.

Enjoy everything, life is just good.

WOW scan at home! I'm so not last year, so 2013. Oh dear. Thanks for the Janie post, on to it. Enjoy your evening. S
