Can't see the wood for the trees ? So much to do, so little time. If only somone had told me before I started. Can you see the finish line ? Do you need help over the finish line ?

First off, we can go all otherworldy and say that you should all be able to see the finish line. Close your eyes and picture being sat on that beach with your laptop by your side. You may even have pictures on your 'vision board' so you can be reminded, everytime you look at it, what life will be like when you cross that line.

Well, I'm not gonig that way with this. I have a vision board and I have viualised. All good and all positive.

I'm talking about here and now. As we near the end of the first assignment of the SAC there will be some who cannot see the finish line. When the tasks were laid out back on the 10th of May it felt like there was ages, loads of time, easy peasy. Well, including today, there are five days left.

5 days left to complete the first assignment. Yes, everyone said it was going to hard, a challenge, it even said so on the pre-enrollment blog. That was weeks ago.

For some, everything on that assignment would need to be done. No existing website, no content, no keywords, no logo, no Gravatar, no idea how to make your theme look the way you want it to ? Plugins ? and the list goes on and on.

DO NOT PANIC. This blog is not about stressing you out even more than you might be. There's no exam at the end, no paper to hand in, no external examiner comeing round to check everything off.

That being said, it would be nice to be able to look at the next set of tasks without having to add into the mix anything you haven't completed.

Finally I get to the point, quite quickly for me actually.

If you need help with anything, anything at all then ask. I will not have all the answers but someone will. Here's what you can do.

  • Use the search bar at the top of your dashboard. Ask a full on question or use it to search for specific articles or training by using relevant keywords.
  • Go onto 'Live Chat' and ask your question. The response can be immediate. There are some very knowledgable members here that will be more than willing to help or advocate on your behalf.
  • Leave a comment here and hope that someone will see it, if not then I'll try my best to point you in the right direction, no guarantees though, I am a bit random.

That's it, done and dusted. My coverage isn't going to be that great so feel free to share this blog or even better put the same offer out yourself. Let's see if we can all pull together to get as many of us over the line as possible.

I have asked for help many, many times and wouldn't be here now were it not for the incredible community here. That's one of the cornerstones this great platform was built on.

Be well.

Excellent advice there are so many here that are willing to help. Just need to ask.

Exactly right Mickey. A wealth of wisdom.

Hi Twack, great job the timing is perfect for me for newcomers we all are family community members we all at some point need help. It reminds me of a race with two individuals helping each other to cross the finish line the were injured. That's a WA Blog. Kyle an Calson will be pleased with it that's what it is all about. Thank you.

Hey Fitzgerald, you are more than welcome and thanks for the comment. Let's hope it helps.

You are right about asking for help. One of the great strengths of WA is the community, as they help us over so many hurdles. I love this community -- they really do feel like family. That's nice for someone living in a remote, small community.

In the words of Smokey Robinson "I second that emotion". I mean it should be 'motion' but it works, sort of.

Absolutely brilliantly written blog, my friend... ;)

Thanking you kindly Sara, just hoping it might help along the way.

Thanks for another great uplifting post, Twack!

Wish you all the best!

Bob

Thanks Bob, always good to hear from you. Be well.

There an old saying that no man is an island. We can't do it alone. Even those who are having great success in life no matter what it is needed help. We need each other in order to cross the finish line.

True words Norman. There's always more to learn and do and the help here is invaluable. Be well.

You are welcome and the same to you also. Have a good day.
