Dancing In The Kitchen
What's up WAgglers ? Dancing in the kitchen was what I was doing at 9am this morning. I was putting away the clean crockery (That feels like an 'old' word) when Marvin Gaye came on the radio and I just had to get my groove on. Thought you should know.
I was about to say that I am sat here midst perfect peace and quiet but alas, that has just been broken. The return of two offspring, one staying and one passing through.
That's my excuse for losing my thread. I did want say it was late afternoon, which it is, though I'm not sure what the 'cut-off' point is between afternoon and evening. I tend to think of 6pm as the point that afternoon becomes evening.
Anyway, after yesterday's disaster, ('That Will Teach Me') feel free to have a laugh on me, ( I won't mind, I was laughing myself by the end, actually, well before the end.) I was determined to make amends today. Nothing was going to deter me from ticking more than one item from yesterday's list.
In short order, I have registered change of owner on two vehicles, collected two pillows, listed the graphics card on EBay, done the weekly shop, vacuumed the entire house and finally, started the process for transferring some domain names.
Not a bad haul, all things considered. The domain transfer is important, as it makes everything more real. As much as I've been doing the 'groundwork' it won't be 'real' until the website is up, then things will become serious.
It's about taking action, without it, it's just talk. It can be overwhelming sometimes but you just have to start. Prime example, the picture below is of a light switch off Ziva (a car), the actual one in the vehicle is faulty and makes the lights do very odd things.
I bought this replacement in December of last year and it was another two months before I opened the box it came in. When I did, one of the wires had snapped off. Too late to send back, so it has been sat waiting for me to fix it since February. Yes, it's not as straightforward as just putting a new connector or wire on.
Even so, there are loads of excuses as to why it hasn't been fixed. We can spin a list as long as our arm when we have a mind to, when we need to procrastinate.
One of my philosophies on 'life' (the decision-making side) is that it's binary, at least when it comes to doing 'stuff'. It all comes down to a choice, do it or don't. Everything you can think of comes down to the lowest common denominator, a choice, do I or don't I.
We make it complicated when it's not. We purposely make it complicated because it allows us drag our feet and put things off, procrastinate.
Anyway, that's just my take on things. Not sure how we got on to this. I need to get off it now though and start planning for tomorrow and that means I have to choose a theme, time to make a choice.
Actually, I might throw the question out to the community as I need a theme that can handle plenty of embedded videos. I have a selection of ones that I like but that was made before I had decided on using video as a content mainstay. I could roll a dice.

You wouldn't, I am constantly reminded of two glorious weeks of clear blue skies and soaring temperatures, which is not a bad memory to have.😁
I was in the kitchen too, though not dancing.
I had in mind to clean out the refrigerator but when I found a bunch of frozen tomatoes from our 2018 garden, my plan changed. I let them sit a while and then peeled their skins off. Meanwhile, I simmered a frozen chicken and then shredded it. I had rapt attention from our dog Nicky for this part. Anyway, I ended up with a really nice soup with other veggies in it too, So I had dinner mostly made around 10AM. That's reason enough to dance. As for the cleaning out part, well, another day for that.
Makes me hungry just reading about it. Home grown vege taste so much better than the ones off the shelf.
Apples is all that's coming from our garden this year, maybe pears next, never both in the same year, weird.

Glad you were dancing in the kitchen. Regarding your theme, choose something that reflex who you are and what you would like to achieve and who you are trying to attract to your website. For instance if your site is for teenagers then choose the funkiest theme. I hope I’ve helped you Twack.
Thank you Yvonne, you make a very valid point and one that I will take on board. I am also concerned that some of the themes might suffer in the 'speed' department, with having so many videos on there.
