Some of you will recognise this line, while others will be sighing and wishing they'd had the fortitude to click on by. Well you're here now, so you may as well see it through till the end.

I'm about to go shopping (Looking forward to yet another 'random' check) but I had to get this started as I'm pretty sure by the time I get back, I will have forgotten everything I wanted to say. I still haven't managed to secure a 'surefire' way of making proper notes 'on the fly'. I have always liked the idea of a Dictaphone. I know I can use that feature on my phone....Ahh, now I have remembered why, I really don't like listening to me.

I'm sure there is some irony in that statement, somewhere. I like the sound of my own voice but not being played back to me. The one in my head is a deep baritone, not quite on a Brian Blessed level, but then who is. As I mentioned to Jules, in a reply to one of her posts, I sound like Julian Clary. I'll leave it there. If you do go and find a clip of him speaking then that's the voice you'll hear from here on in, when reading my posts. Just putting that out there.

Sunday is here and it's the end of a hectic week. I always think of Sunday as the last day of

the week but many think of it as the start. Is there a definitive ruling on that ? Either way my desk looks like someone has emptied their briefcase all over it. That's how I know it's been a week of learning and exploring. The mess is the aftermath and a direct result of my prioritising.

Sometimes you just have to get stuff done.

As this is just a bit of an update/catch-up type post, I'm just going to roll with it. It could have been an 'index' post but I can mention it here instead, rather than taking a whole post up with it. It is interesting though, as I am running the latest site 'raw' as I like to call it. It's an experiment, though I'm not sure how the results will be useful. This latest article has taken 22 days to get indexed (Patience really is a virtue). That's with no site map or analytics of any description. There are two more in the pipeline and it will be interesting to see how they fare.

I'm back from the shopping trip and the supermarket have decided to mess with my head. My little hand held device's screen went yellow, which normally means you've been 'randomly' selected for a check, obviously with good reason in my case, based on my track record. Except this time when it went yellow it just said "Please wait for an assistant" but they were just making sure everyone was aware that they had changed the machines to 'card only' I was cool and tried not to look guilty. I was vigilant with my scanning this time, no item left unblipped.

Before I leave you to enjoy the remainder of the weekend, let me share with you something I caught on the radio this morning. I surprisingly 'with-it', considering I'd been up since 5am. The host was interviewing Dr Rangan Chatterjee who was discussing how to feel good in just five minutes. That was interesting in itself, but the wonderful snippet I went away with was a game he and his family play at their evening meal time.

They go round the table and each of them has to answer the following three questions:

  1. What have I done today to make someone happy.
  2. What has someone else done that has made me feel happy.
  3. What have I learned.

Not bad questions to have in our mind each and every day, I thought.

That's me just about done. I could have gone on, there has been so much to take from this week, it really has been an exceptional week. For your amusement, the cover image is a picture of one of my book shelves. Is there a saying that you can tell much about a person by the books they read ? Probably not.

Let's do it all again tomorrow.

My favorite book on that shelf is the Encyclopedia of Marvel Characters. Who knew!!
The 3 question ideas are really interesting, add it to the list of things I wish I would have known while I was parenting my son. That’s a list that is a lot longer than I’d like it to be.
At any rate we’ve made it through another week...go us!
My weeks begin on Monday no matter what the calendar says.
Have a great one!
KyleAnn

Thank you KyleAnn, I'm with you, Monday is definitely the start. The Marvel book was a Christmas present and full of some very cool pics.
I am looking forward to this week, no 'Monday moaning' here. Let's get it on.

Where is everyone, only 2 comments? I wrote a post earlier that only got 2 comments. I expected to return after my trip out for hot chocolate with the girl, to have many comments to reply to, but when I checked the cupboard was bare?!? hahaha

Anyway Your desk reminds me of the devastation I have just left my house in, after getting some divine inspiration that I now need my bookshelf (that was upstairs with DVD's in) downstairs, by my laptop with all my research books. So now my bedroom looks like Blockbuster when it was going out of business and my dining room looks like a self help, acting, mindfulness and Buddhist bookshop. Mayhem everywhere!

'The girl' removed herself from the area, saying 'it was messing with her chi'. she is so turning into a mini me.

So research centre is now set up ready for the release of passion project and the beginning of being a writer, not just talking about being one.

As I write, a Mr tickles cup that I took from McDonald's is laughing at me. Laugh More Sara I hear...watch this space.

Whe it comes to comments, Antonio Banderas sums it up.
"Expectation is the mother of all frustration."

As for me, I prefer the Dalai Lama's take on things.
"I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path."
Dalai Lama

Yesterday I defo had Antonio whispering in my left ear. Then the Dalai Lama whispered in my right ear 'It was not for them, it was for you'. So all is wonderful.

In answer to your questions
1) I took 'The girl' to costa coffee in storm Dennis and bought giant hot chocolates and had some one on one girlie time. Then she went and bought a giant bunny teddy and smiled all day cuddling it.
2) I had a wonderful roast cooked for me (vegetable puff and all) and it was delicious, we sat as a family together eating, and talking.
3) I have learned that all you have, and all that is important is the time to love and connect, all the rest of it is merely distraction from the truth.

I think those questions need to have a place in everyone's day. If the were a test, then you would have scored full marks.

I believe It was Mostyn! But who cares...lols Glad your trip shopping was only mildly interrupted and did not require a trip through the labrynths to security offices! Progress I say as it tells me you are learning to not allow all those many wonderful shiny things in your very wonderful imaginative mind to functioning normally at Tesco's...lol

The three questions are a bonus find and if there is judgement on synonomity between what a person reads and what can be deduced about him/her it is a very short sighted view indeed although it was in the distant past as snobbery at its heights and no doubt still exits in the tiny minds of those who practice it. Every time the word is mentioned or I encounter them, to my mind comes the sketch of John Cleese, Ronnie Corbett and Ronnie barker with another a hilarious piece also a TV sketch from The Big Yin...Billy Connely come to mind and keep them where they belong!! Ha ha
R.

It took self control of the highest order. The John Cleese and the two Ronnies sketch, I have seen. The Billy Connolly one, I have not but it is now on the back of a piece of cardboard, on the desk, so will be attended to, in good time.
Everything in good time.

It'll have you in stiches...lols;
R.
PS to keep you right he is talking about those V necked jersey mob he of course calls them f%=#$÷!...which scare the s#$% out of him...lols;

His laughing is contagious. I will check it out.

Well done Twack, I’m so glad you fought your demons and have given up stealing 🤣😉😜

It's not easy, I can tell you.

Lol! Well done! 🤣😎

That's was cheeky and guilt inducing. Yellow boxes indeed! Funny things those indexes, sometimes they seem in a hurry, sometimes not but, they all get there in the end. Julian C, huh? Interesting thought but I can only vaguely get him in my head right now, infact I can only vaguely get anything in my head at the mo. However, that game at dinner I can and dinner will be soon so, let's see what they say. I have my answers at the ready to set a good example . . .at least an example. Tomorrow, yes! Did you see the timey wimey comments on the other post? Happy rest of Sunday and here's a ***Special Award*** for playing by the rules in the store.
