Business As Usual ?

I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't ask the question, as to whether it is business as usual. Hmm, it didn't feel like it should have a question mark there. Such a brazen disregard for the rules of grammar. Oh well, moving along now.

Depending on your global positioning, today would be the first day of some restrictions coming

into play. How's that working out for you ? All feeling a little out of sorts ? I feel there may be a period of transition as the new regimes take effect.

For me, it has been business as usual. Although it has to be said, there has been a few adjustments to be made. The main difference for me has been the increase in bodies residing in the house. It's normally full at the end of the day but now we are all present and correct 24/7. I say that, but one of my offspring is still working and will do so until the business decides otherwise.

One is back from university indefinitely and another is in the same boat, in regard to college. One more to make up the foursome, is now working from home.

So, distractions will be at a higher level until everyone finds their own routine.

For many of you, it will either be a case of no work or working from home. Not easy. There have been a few posts pertaining to such situations but I'll add my own spin on things, why not ? My tapestry class doesn't start for another half an hour.

This is from my point of view, you understand, and isn't a blueprint for success, it's my take on things, which can be slightly askew, at the best of times.

If you can, still get up at the same time, it would be easy to start falling into the mindset of being on holiday, which for most of us, we're not.

Try to set up a routine that works for you and everyone else. Not everyone might share your desire (which I'm sure you have) to remain productive. Make sure you have adequate breaks scheduled in to your day. No four hour lunch breaks.

Those who aren't working, gosh, it's a perfect time to catch up on all of those jobs you've been putting off. Wait though, there's a reason you've been putting them off, they're the ones you dislike. Ease yourself into them. The last thing you want is to become disheartened within the first few days, this leads to extended 'day time TV mode' and that's not a good place to be.

Of course, there is also the opportunity to explore all of the wonderful features that our state-of-the-art platform holds. A time for content creation or maybe having a really good look through the 'Affiliate Programs' section. Who knows, it could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Me? I've just made sausage casserole, served with mashed potatoes. Veggie sausages of course. That said, best I go and dish up for the starving hoards.

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.

Twack Romero.

Thanks Twack. All quiet in Sydney Australia. Most are now working from home but the amount of work has slowed.A lot of people are now out of work relying on Government subsidy. We are going through the "how's all this work" thought processes. Sausage casserole looks great.
Have a great day.
Stephen.

You're very welcome Stephen. It will be a 'learning curve' for sure. We are lucky to have a huge resource here at WA. The training is endless.
It was a very nice leam, thank you.
Stay healthy.

Yes, EVERYONE is home. I have 7 little critters running around my house all day now. 4 of them, my grandchildren, who typically don't get home from school until about 4 pm. So, yeah, lots of distractions.

Our city has been officially been put on "shelter in place" as of about 5 pm today. So everything just about everything is shut down except for the essentials.

I wouldn't have thought that "fast food" is an essential service. It seems like a lot of people passing germs back and forth through that take out window. I guess a lot of folks don't know how to cook. No to mention the TP hoarders. Still extremely hard to find unless show up early at the more out of the way spots.

So the saga goes on, and on, and on...

I try to get up early, while the wifey does a few school lessons with the kiddos, to take advantage of that time. Then it's evening hours after that. Not bad, it works.

One thing I have noticed is the decline in numbers online here at WA. If I were more active inside WA I could probably break 100 easily. However, I do have a lot of other tasks I've been working on for my SAC site.

We'll continue riding the storm out (sounds like a familiar tune from back in the day).

Stay well and hope everyone's situation improves soon!

Regards,

Michael

Sounds like you have it all under control. You certainly have your work cut out for you.
I had heard that they were closing the drive thru's as well, maybe it was a viscious rumour, that's ont thing that won't effect me, not to sure about the younger ones though.
I agree that the numbers round here had seemed to drop over the last week or so. Maybe as everyone settles into a routine, we will see a rise.
Always a pleasure when you stop by Michael, thank you.

arrgggggggg ..
I Hate Working at Home !!!

I do my work at The Coffee Shop ...
Or at The Library ...

AACCKKK!!,!!

Coffee Shop is shut down .....
Library is shut down .....
UGH - Now what do I do???

... and, to add insult to injury -
Whenever the Blazers score 100 points in a game, I get Free Chicken Nuggets at McDonalds ...

Oh No - Basketball is shut down .. and McD is closed to”dine-in” (only drive thru)
..... I am gonna starve !

Grrrrrrrr .. This stupid virus thing needs to end!!!!!

..............ahh .. 1st World Problems .. lol

I see a very insightful viewpoint in there, Joe. It's all relative though. What some might view as 'hardships' really aren't and yet we can only live the life we have.
Always a pleasure when you stop by, thank you.

I actually don't mind this new way of life to some extent. I already work from home anyway, and I'm very self motivated, and have good organisation skills. I've also been waking up earlier which is probably as it gets light earlier, and my cat likes sitting on the windowsill chattering at the birds! I also enjoy a good sausage casserole, though being vegetarian, mine are Linda Mccartney sausages. Funnily enough, that was about the only thing left in my local co-op's freezer a few days ago lol! Yours looks delicious:) Stay safe. Kathy

Thank you Kathy. We had the Linda McCartney 'Lincolnshire' ones and you're right, there were plenty left at the supermarket. We normally only get them when they're on special offer, needs must in this case.
So, for you, it is pretty much business as usual.
Stay healthy,
