Any One Having Trouble Staying Focused ?

It's a fair question. So, is anyone having trouble staying focused ? I wasn't' and then, out of nowhere, I am. I'm using this post to bring my self back online. Man, it's already working.

Over the last few days I have had plenty of ideas for posts on here and on the websites, maybe the change in circumstances has caused some kind on inward shift. Like one of those 'Penny Falls' you find in arcades. You know the one I mean ? You put a coin in and watch as it drops onto a moving tray, laden with more coins. Your hope is that it pushes more off the edge and ultimately into your pocket. Good times.

So, I sat down to write, after fulfilling all other morning duties and 'Splosh', my mind went blank. I had nothing, zip, squat. When faced with this unusual situation, I just write and see what happens. Unfortunately for you, the end result is normally slightly more fragmented than normal. No matter, we will persevere.

Having four other bodies in the room means that I have had to put my headphones on. Finding something to listen to was also an issue. Most of the 'frequency' music I listen to is not strong enough to deaden the sound of 'Grey's Anatomy', which seems be the current flavour on the visual menu.

I have ended up with trying something new and picked at random. I had a recommendation

come through yesterday, to listen to 'The Psychedelic Muse'. Thirty seconds in and it just wasn't cutting it. A quick look to the right of the screen, at the selections on offer, and one name just jumped right out and slapped me.

'Shpongle', such a cool name and not one I have come across before. Anyone else heard of this group ? I have no expectations but I am now seventeen minutes in, and so far it's been interesting enough to keep me from trying to find an alternative. Not sure of the genre though, possibly 'Space Rock' ?

OK then, I'm back on track and have found my multiple trains of thought. Not that I shall put them to you now, they can be for another day.

One thing I did want to ask you though, was how you're coping ? I think we're on day four (Every time I say that, in my head it's the voice of the 'Big Brother' narrator. That 'North East' accent is one of my favourites.) of the 'almost lock down'.

I have a feeling that the next two days will be 'telling', as whatever 'work' has been done over the week days, will stop. Forty eight hours of, potentially, no structure. Best to plan ahead.

Maybe today is a good time to sketch out some ideas of how to fill your time over the next two days.

I was sorting through our 'cubby hole' a couple of days ago and spotted some painting paraphernalia. I set it aside, as I have a feeling it will come in handy over the next few days. I do know what I'll be doing in the morning though but that will have to wait for another post. Let's just say, "I knew this would happen"

Not sure about this afternoon, possibly some work on 'Ziva'. She is in dire need of a service

and some love, both of which I am happy to give. I could always swap out the 'RAM' in this computer, as my upgrades have arrived. So much choice. Actually, after unwrapping, turns out it's not the memory, it's the new SSD hard drive, even better.

If you're ever having trouble staying focused, just start typing. Before you know it, you'll be back on track and the inspiration will be in full flow.
