Success with Wealthy Affiliate! Developing habits to improve your life.

Success in life, and here at Wealthy Affiliate is a result of the effort we put in. As an example, if you are not active here at WA, your rank here will slowly, and sometimes not so slowly, plummet.

I have experienced this myself, and perhaps you have too. There have been times when I have not been as active as I would like to be here. For one reason or another, ranging from simple distractions, to illness, there are a lot of things that can take us away from doing what we need to do to get the job done.

As a result, we are quickly reminded that our inattention to the task(s) at hand, has negative consequences.

I commend Kyle and Carson for creating Wealthy Affiliate in such a way as to provide this quick feedback to our actions, and at times, the lack thereof.

Not only do we learn the mechanics of creating a website and the greater goal of creating a successful online business here, but, we also are ever so gently, taught that there is reward for action, and negative results for inaction.

This lesson directly applies to whatever niche you have decided to pursue with the knowledge gained here at Wealthy Affiliate. To be successful in anything you have to pursue it diligently.

A lackadaisical approach will reward you only with frustration.

I'm working hard to develop the positive habits that will help me move forward in my goals with Wealthy Affiliate, and the greater goals of creating effective and engaging websites.

In future posts, I will be sharing with you some of the habits I am trying to develop to ensure my continued growth, and I would love to hear from you about your challenges and the habits you are developing to defeat them.

Please share your secrets with us here so that we may all benefit from what you have learned along the way.

Yesterday's morning twilight sky as view from my canoe on the lake.

Starting Early - For me, I find that I can be most productive when I am fresh, rested, and ready to go. Shortly after my first cup of coffee, I like to sit down at the computer and start reading the mail, so to speak.

I look at all the "notifications" I have received here at WA and do my replies and thank yous. This gets me warmed up for the day's' business. It also gets me revved up! I get a lot of encouragement from all you great people out there, You are truly a blessing!

How do you start your day? Do you have, or are you developing productive habits?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
Tom

Great reminder!

I usually start my day checking my emails and notifications here on WA. After that, I'm off to working on my website (checking back on WA every now and then when I need a break).

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for commenting Krystlezee!

A timely reminder Tom. Also, that photo is awesome!

Thank you Allegro101!

You are so right. Thanks for reminding me.

Glad you could use it Pablo!

So true! Well written! I love the photo as well. That photo added to the "call to action" reminds us to " smell the roses" along the way in our journey here.
Thank you for your reflections.

Thank you Susan! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Good post Tom. Thank you.

Thank you Elroy!

Hi Tom - What a great way to start a Monday morning! With inspiration from you... I am also most productive first thing in the morning. The interaction I put in at WA is a direct correlation to the amount of effort I put in to building my own website. The inspiration to continue building our dreams is one of the best things about the WA community. Thank you for sharing!

Good Morning to you Jen! I hope you have a productive day!

Sincerely,
Tom

Cranking on writing first then addressing email residue!

Good Morning Mike!
As you can see, there are others here that agree with you!

Personally, I leave emails and notifications until later in the day. I get on with my tasks on my to do list before I start with messages. Ocne you start going through messages, you can be there for a large chunk of the day if you're not careful.

You are right! You have to be careful. I usually try to set a limit of an hour or so with that then move on to more pressing issues. Thanks for the input!
Sincerely,
Tom

Thanks for sharing.
I love to work in the morning too. That is when I feel most inspired, while the rest of the family is still in bed.

Yes, I understand, when my kids were young, it seemed like the only time there was peace and quiet.. :)

Thanks for sharing, Tom.
