Now I have an idea for a niche: small dogs -> toy and pygmy poodles
What do you think, is there a chance for this niche or do you see reasons against this idea?
Is it

I don't really know what could be a profitable sell on this.

Thank you, a good point. Sells could be dog food, toys for dogs, leashes, dog baskets, books, online dog training courses and so on.
Do you think that is not profitable enough to build up a business? (sorry for my questions, I am at the beginning and have no experience so far, and I don't want to start with a niche that cannot work).

I think anything to do with pets is a good opportunity so long as you can attract people with good quality content that keeps people coming back

That is what I was thinking as I was giving my answer-but really brainstorming-this actually sounds pretty good.I have a site like the one you have in mind, but its spiritual niche, and I have many things on it-but it is really having trouble getting indexed. But-give it a try! We never know.Vetinari has a good answer to this,it sounds alright:) I will go back and look at the reviews-they seem to really make the sites:) Best of luck:))))

What do the keyword search results tell you? Are there enough searches and not too much competition? Those are the real answer but as an opinion without doing the research it wou;d seem like a good specific niche.

Thank you for your answer. I checked the google keyword planner:
- toy poodle is 10k to 100k, low competition
What is the minimum value for monthly searches to have a chance?
