When you have, for example a tutorial of 100 pages that require out going links from your site, which would be a better thing to do for your site ranking.

1/ start with a

I would generally go for option 2

Rich when I click on the link you have posted it just comes back to this page that we are all reading - I tried pressing the CTRL key and even copied and pasted the url into my browser but still it bounces back right where I started from. Is it just me or are others having the same problem? Thanks. Wendy.

Hi Wendai, I tried it and you are correct, it will do that to everyone.

Recommend you create different keywords and write great content. Your keyword research will help you with this task.

Sounds like you have 100 opportunities to get ranked under different keywords. Try splitting your content into groups of posts and pages, with sub menu pages. Each time you add a new post or page, write your content targeting a new keyword.By doing this you will be adding content on a consistant stream, which will get you ranked. As for links, don't add affiliate links to every page.Place your links to items you want to sell on review or similar pages and use internal links to point visitors to your sales pages. Use your content to funnel visitors to sales pages.
Getting started lessons level 5 covers this in detail.

I hope this helps

Sound advice deos331557. I concur.

I've heard posts rank faster and backing them to pages makes content stronger. Your own internal links are great and reduce the amount of outgoing.

Separate posts. You get better google ranking from what I gathered looking at the top 3-5 posts in any niche in Google. Their website is loaded with articles to the "brim". My 2 cents! Best!

Option 2. :)

In my view, for improved Google ranking, it's important to be consistent and frequent in posting and to write unique, quality posts with minimum 900 words. Links to related posts in a post would also help. Some social links to your site also helps for ranking. Outgoing links to authority sites like Wikipedia, YouTube etc. also helps.

Create 100 posts with a unique category gets my vote.

I would pick #2. 100 posts just means more ranking within google and more folks coming to your site......

I don't know if this will really help. But in my sight I have broken things up in a couple pages and also into posts. So I'm not sure what your niche so I will use mine. Candle making... I have a very basic how to page. Then I have posts like safety, choosing which wax you want, what kind of container to use ect.
I hope this is a little bit helpful.

Because of the size of some courses they require many pages or posts and I do have a few categories to boot.

When you have your domain name and then add a page, does number of words make a difference to the search engines. Is there a rule about how many characters or word you should st

That's a good question. It added to my knowledge. Thanks.

As Caraid says, and have you ever copied an url from google images:)))

Your right, I have seen long and even crazy letters and numbers like passwords in URL's. I know some of them just pay heavy money for ranking. I just want to try and stay with what tends to work best.
Thanks for the reply.

Hi

For a Title Yes I would recommend and agree with LittleClaire on 55 - 60 characters but for the whole URL then no.

You may not have noticed, as it is not something that many look at but often the URL address that can be in the browser bar when searching in Google or Amazon can actually be several widths of the browser in length.

Not something I would want to type in manually ; )

True, I just wanted to try and do best practice for SEO were I'm the little guy trying to get in the game sort of speak.
Thanks for the reply.

I've seen longer ones than that!

When you tiny up a long link for lets say 40 characters, you get about 26 from tinyurl, so don't worry!

Thanks for the info.

I love these questions because I wonder about things then never ask, so you saved me on this one. Thanks

Hey Travis

Optimum length of a title is 55 characters - 60 is the max the SERP will show. Don't worry about domain name length - it is what it is :)

Thanks

You're welcome :)

I'm a newbie, so is it Productive or Non-Productive when somebody posts a comment on your site and links back to there own. Does this help with your sites Google ranking or just

Askimet treats them as a spam. So I just delete them.

Comments like "keep up the good work" and "great site" are non-productive, when you place a comment, try to add relevant sentences into it, refering to the post, those are productive

Thank you Loes.

Relevant comments are good but if they don't add anything of value to your post then they are non-productive. Kyle has training on this. :)

Thanks Kathy.

the more comments the better. You can as admin remove links from peoples comments. So yes it is productive :)

Thanks for the quick response.

no problem mate :)

Is there a way to group your photos under headings or categories for easier access?

Thank you for your response. I kind of thought it may take another plug-in. I just wanted to make sure before upping the plug-in count.

You are going to end up with many many plugins lol, like the rest of us

I don't think so, but I believe you might add a plugin... search "extend media" (dashboard > plugin > add new)
Let me know if you find anything!
Cheers! =)

The drop down box has my domain name, but will not allow me to select it. I'm unable to create an e-mail address under new e-mail.

This is what it should look like: travis

The drop down menu is working now for creating e-mails.

Thanks for the input.

I think its a glitch in the system. Several have been having issues but would send in a ticket to be on the safe side. Hopefully it will work out soon. I had same problem a couple of months ago so I know how you feel

I would turn it over to the tech department.

Hello! I am having the same issues and have been trying to get it fixed since Friday last week. let me know if you have any luck!

Will not except domain name for new email account, why?
