Hi. I am lost, confused and overwhelmed. I can't get past the begining idea. I know what I want and I know what I want it to look like. I just can't do the technical stuff.
BlueFlamingo, I am as new as you. My advice is to take it slow. The great thing about online learning is that you can watch the videos as many times as possible. Your current web host may offer live support on how to point your website to Wealthy Affiliates. Draw up what you want your website to look like on paper if you know what you want. If you find the training doesn't break it down enough for you, send it to someone you know who works with WordPress and have them the website together. As far as phone calls, I would suggest you ask your coach about or if a live chat isn't possible, ask to be sent step by step videos. Please realize this will take a lot of time out of someone's schedule. Please keep us posted and I wish you all the best.

You need to understand this correctly
Transferring a domain is not the same as transferring a website
The name servers are the physical location of your domain and your website
To transfer a website you need to transfer the whole thing
A Wordpress website is made of PHP FILES and a MSQL DATA BASE
If you point your name servers without transferring all the files and data base you will loose access to your website
Contact support and tell them exactly what your trying to do and they will advise you exactly how to do this

So for the domain name you have pointing to WA servers, have you created a WP site for it yet.
My advice is to follow lessons carefully and just apply instructions. For beginners, the technical part might seem overwhelming, specially when you start choosing your website theme. Let me know if I can help.

To update your domain DNS settings to point to WA. Here are the DNS settings.

These settings will be updated within your domain registrar (where you purchased your domain) after the transfer has taken place. How to Transfer a Domain Name to Wealthy Affiliate How To Point Your Domain Name To WA NEW Go Daddy DNS details to make it work: To transfer your domain here you need login current registrar and fetch the EPP code, there's a one year charge of $15, privacy included. One year more will get added to your domain.
Also it has to have passed the grace period of 60 days.
If your site has content you need get in touch with site support for further instructions.
They will typically ask you for FTP info and your domain name, they'll set up a siterubix subdomain and upload files then you can check everything is okay before you point your domain to WA servers.
