I received the ff. 2 offers by email concerning my YT Channel, and I would like to know if they are legit or scams. Please share your experiences and advic
Yeah, stay away from you. As a rule of thumb, any offer that you get solicited to you and that you didn't ask for is almost certainly a scam.
These will happen with frequency as you build out your business and you start to gain reach in search engines (and people start sending stuff like this through your contact forms or your comments).
Avoid them like the plague!
Hi, Trodvies!
Good to hear from you. Unfortunately, these offers are scams. The Corel changed its name to Alludo and is based in Canada, not Estonia as stated in the first offer. The second offer appears to be written by somebody who is not a native English speaker.
I recommend that you ignore them both.
As you've always done, Gary! I'm so appreciative of your continued guidance. Even when I don't approach you directly, you're always there to help and guide. Thanks a million for everything you've done and continue to do. I'm truly grateful!

They look like the initial emails of a scam to me.
The use of the word "esteemed" is a sign of someone whose native language is not English. Corel Studio would be unlikely to miss-spell their name as "Stuido". There are other suspicious markers as well.
As for the second one, "pay you for each video, regardless" is too good to be true.

Hi all. FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE (and not just research), what could be the perfect platform to monetize one's subscriber base apart from YouTube membership? Thanks.
You can create your own funnel and get people to sign up and build those interested in that way.
So whatever your interest (niche) Is, give people a reason to sign up to your subscriber list.. The key is to offer enough reason (incentive) for people to sign up to your subscriber list. Do you know that it's just today - close to one year later - that I'm reading your reply for the first time? I'm just seeing it now, my friend. Thanks a million for providing such a great answer to my question.

Firstly as a niche is not a product vs a subject you would help people by giving them advice on an aspect, walk them through your journey and then promote products however relevant.
You ought to discuss an aspect of crafting to a qualified group of people who would be your target audience (that could be beginners or another group you have in mind).
The more focused a niche website is starting out, the better chance it has to start having traction and traffic.
Please be aware you also need to create lots of content addressing issues related to your focused niche website.
Most important is to be passionate and genuinely interested in your niche A Niche is A Group of People Looking for Stuff

Hi WA-ers:
Can someone kindly recommend a free and easy-to-use WP plugin for receiving donations on a website by means of Paypal and debit/credit cards with the option o
It is tough to recommend when the circumstances of the donation aren't known. I suggest, in site manager, go to plugins>add new> search and enter a keyword like donation or paypal or payment and see what comes up. You can read about how the plugin works. There should also be a count of users for that plugin. You can always try a plugin and delete it if it is not what you want.
Yeah Jim! That's what I've always known. Was just trying to avoid the trial and error part. If I don't get a solution from Paypal - I've contacted them - that's surely what I'll revert to. Thank you.

Perhaps I should have added "from experience" because it was these same ressources I landed on when I googled the question. Their down side is they present so many options that it's hard to make a choice. Thanks anyway.
You can add a donation button from PayPal if you have an account open it is much easier to do and secure.
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/non-profits/fundraising/donate-button
I'd follow instructions within account how to implement.
Was going fine until I got to where I had to set up the donation page. It's like: donate to: the account name (my name I signed up with), whereas I would like the donations to be made to my website - not myself. And it seems that can not be changed. Any suggestions?
I would look up help inside PayPal and instructions how to go about it. Could possibly be different if you had a personal or business account.
https://www.paypal.com/us/brc/article/how-to-add-a-donate-button
I'm using a personal account. That could be the reason why. It had exactly what I was in search of. Unfortunately! I might just resort to searching for a plugin as I was doing before. Thank you.
You can always upgrade to a business, it doesn't cost extra and use the donation facility - however I would check the small print if there's any charges on donations received unless you have a non-profit, and can submit paperwork for exemption.
Yes and it also changes from country to country. I do believe that you are right in that you just need to upgrade to business.
Darlene
Hi Abie:
They finally replied.
When I signed up initially, it was a business account. I needed to receive payments on my website at the time and was requested to provide "normal" business registration info - which I didn't have.
The customer service agent suggested that I downgrade to a personal account - which I eventually did as I was getting nowhere without the business reg. info.
Now, they are saying that a once-downgraded business account can not be upgraded.
So I'll just go with the plugin option as I said earlier.
Thank you.

No one is allowed to post their business affiliate links in the W.A. community blog area, friend.
As for your I.D. getting removed when you post a W.A. link? It makes sense. When people see your community blog post on Google and click on the W.A. affiliate link without your I.D. to join, you will get paid. That link is being connected to your post.
All the best!
It wasn't my business affiliate links I was posting in my WA blog posts, John. It was my WA's link instead. But I've now gotten how it works. Thank you.
I was just throwing it out there for the other business link, friend. Don't mind that part. Lol!
You noticed that I directed the answer to your question about why your W.A. affiliate link is not being shown after that, right?
I'm glad you got it now. All the best!
There’s no reason to do that since affiliate links are meant to promote WA elsewhere. You can use the regular links of any WA page as part of your comments or posts.
Hope this helps.
Edwin
Thought that was what I was doing, Edwin - "promoting WA elsewhere": in Google search. However, I've come to realize . . . Thank you.
Posting your affiliate links within a WA Blogs post has never been allowed as per the rules of WA.
However, at the top, you will see the word affiliate this can be used instead to promote your WA blog posts if you wish on your website so your visitors click that will lead them to your WA blog here and they have the opportunity to join that way when a join window pops up.
Just make sure if you do this you are talking about what this post is about and how it can help your reader so don't just use the affiliate link for the sake of just promoting as it will look spammy and won't do your website any good with the search engines or your visitors.
Also with that same affiliate link if you want to use someone else's WA blog post to promote using that affiliate link at the top has your own affiliate link embedded even though it is a blog post from someone else.
Again should a visitor come from your website and click that link you will get the referral.
Hope that helps
Andre
It does a whole lot, Andre. Was aware of the affiliate link at the top, but didn't know that mine is what appears at the top of other members' post, and have so far been creating deep links to other members' posts. Thank you.
You are welcome now you don't need to do the deep links if WA posts from other members.
Enjoy your week ahead.
Andre
hi ... yes, as far as we know, WA blog posts can be found and indexed by search engines ... and you might want to check your WA blog post url as it should already contain your userid on it to give you credit in the event a new potential first lands on your post ...
and as far as we understand, posting your WA affiliate ID link is considered 'redundant' ... as i recall reading a reply by Kyle some time ago ...
anyway, hope this helps you a wee bit ... yes, suggest you check your blog post url ...
thanks kindly for your question ... all the very best ... :))

Can the activities here on WA be done conveniently on a smartphone? Is anyone here going through the training, building their site, etc. using a smartphone (and not a PC)? Plea
Most days I have easy access to my phone and irregular access to my PC. The main challenge with a phone for me is actually writing any more than slowly and my writing contains too many typos on iPhone.
However, I use "notion dot so" to capture research and handle writing (on phone and PC) so that when I get to PC everything is instantly in the right place.
So I use the phone for staying in touch with WA, responding where it can be quick, for research for my own site and WA posts. This means that I can continue preparing when offline or on wifi but away from the computer.

I use my laptop and my iPhone for accessing and doing buts and pieces. But when it comes to writing a post for my website I find it easier to use my laptop.
Hi
You'd need access to a laptop at one point to build your site.
Perhaps having access to a local library is ideal.
Hope this helps.
