A Milestone Reached on my MMO Journey
Good day, everyone. Hope you all are maintaining good spirits in spite of all that's happening around us.
As other members have indicated in their posts recently, this is a good time to invest in oneself. And that is what I've been trying to do, which seems to be paying off.
By this I mean I've just reached a milestone on the road to success online. It's not about number of posts published, or position in Google, or traffic, or sales. It's about something else which I think is as important to me as all the above.
I've been at Wealthy Affiliate a little over a year and half. And as I've said a million times, my initial goal for creating a website was to offer a service that I offer offline, though I didn't know how. Starting off, I didn't have the slightest clue as to what terms such as niche, keyword, plugin, etc. meant.
I created a service website as I went through the OEC course. Had tons of questions to ask other members - some of them really laughable. Then I added an MMO site, and began the Bootcamp.
How I learn
During all that time, the mission of my subconscious was actually to get hold of the MMO concept. Cos in all the learning I do, that is how I proceed - and eventually succeed.
Not sure if everyone does the same when trying to grasp a concept. I for one start off by going after the big picture. I first try to wrap my head around the subject in general, before tackling it in bits and pieces, instead of learning one step after the other (which often seems eternal and consequently boring).
Let me say it in another way. In learning a concept, I'm first interested in defining its perimeter - so to speak. It kind of gives me a clear perspective of tasks on hand and empowers my mind to calve out possibilities to achieve success.
It's at this point I've reached in my MMO journey, a place of great importance on my learning curve.
I've finally grasped the big picture of the MMO concept. I now have a kind of map to the MMO landscape. I now have an overall perspective of the MMO terrain.
This is far from saying that I know all what MMO entails. What this means instead is, I've succeeded in establishing the confines of the MMO concept, which is key to my success online. That's the milestone I've reached.
Thank you, WA Community
Thanks to all who've guided me up to this point, especially my mentor and Premium coach, Gary, whom I'm actually blessed to have on this journey.
His guidance proves that newbies do need coaches to avoid going through the school of hard knocks in their endeavor to make money online.
That is why I'm touched when I read comments where members complain that their Premium coach is never there to help them out.
Thankfully there's this Community, full of other members who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
Thank you, Gary. And thanks to everyone. I'm a step closer to reaching my goals.
