This is Feedback!
In requesting comments for my blog, I received this one shown above. As you can see, it is NOT a comment ... rather feedback.
At first glance, I truly thought I had received great feedback, but alas that turned out not to be true. Nowhere in my post did I mention to “setup” a Facebook, Twitter, etc., account. Besides that ... nowhere on my website do I refer to myself as Triblu; I clearly refer to myself as Trish. Needless to say, I clicked on “Disapprove”, explaining just that ... that this is feedback and not a comment.

The reason I am sharing this here is that this is NOT the first time I have had to delete comments made that were feedback rather than a comment.
I know other WA members have written posts regarding the difference in feedback and commenting ... yet we still have members mistakenly NOT reading instructions ... or ... the instructions need to be more explicit.
Feedback should be kept to this forum (or community most of us like to call this) in a comment UNDER Kyle’s post at: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/authoring-writing-..., as a response commented under the request for feedback or privately sent to the person whose blog you want to offer your feedback to.
Personally, I enjoy leaving helpful comments ... many times asking a question (or two) that I have regarding the content of the post. This makes for a more useful comment for future visitors ... and I know bloggers much prefer and appreciate that style commenting.

Great clarification Trish. Like many others, I have had perfectly good "comments" disapproved but I'll get over it......maybe the instructions should be changed!

It has been my experience that if too many people are not following instructions ... well ... then the instructions must not be stated clearly enough.
I can relate! This continues to be an issue and it's really quite simple. I can see it happening the first time when someone doesn't understand the difference but it should happen no more than once.

I agree ... and just to be clear, I've NOT had the same member do this twice. It was just that this has happened too many times now, so I'm ranting in hopes of teaching newbies.

Feedback as a comment is the worse!! Comments are supposed to be from a reader who found you on the internet and responding to your content!! It's pretty simple people. :)
Simple for us Grace, only because we know better. Many here are newbies to building a website ... never mind that most of those members have probably never posted comments ever before ... so ... it's up to us to teach those who don't understand.
Truly though, I think the training needs to be a bit more explicit. Examples would help to, I think.

I agree about the training... but I'm too new to create one. LOL :) I will when I can though. :)
No, no ... I was meaning for Kyle to tweak the training in his post detailing leaving feedback. Sorry for the confusion Grace.
I know how disturbing these can be when not getting what you ask for. What you can do is to edit the feedback, turn it into a comment that will add content to your site without any blemishes.

Thank YOU Ken, I hear ya' ... hopefully enough members will leave better comments given that Grace (aka littlemama) and I BOTH ended up posting on this topic today.
Then it's up to us to school those who do not know the difference ... else when they go out into the real world to "play" their comments won't be accepted and they'll not know why.
Sorry Trish, I don't know how people keep screwing this up. With WA's population only increasing, odds are that this will continue.
