My Wish For WA
My Wish For WA is for a PREVIEW option for use when blogging to other members here at WA.
Too many times now, I have had to edit my blogs immediately upon publishing because a line space didn’t happen correctly, an image disappeared or didn’t display right, a typo was caught, etc.
If given the option to PREVIEW exactly how my blog post here at WA is going to appear once I click on the Publish button, then members will be less likely to have to receive, say, 5 messages that I have just published the same post ... because I had to edit the post 5 different times for the same thing.
There would need to be a Cancel button add too, in case a writer decides, “noooo, don’t think I’ll post that after all.” ... along with an Edit button to fix something/anything ... and a final Publish button, once a writer is happy to let the post stand as it is.
That’s my wish for WA!
UPDATE: 19 Oct 2016
Holly (aka Coraline) gave me a solution to my problems and I'm BETTING others never noticed this option either... here's Holly's directions:
"If you go into edit for your wa blog, click on the settings icon on the right side (that looks like a little gear) and choose "sharing off". You can also choose "make hidden" to work on your draft or any revisions. I just publish "privately" to save. When you're ready to publish to the wa community unclick the two options mentioned above to make it public. I figured this out after mistakenly publishing an unfinished blog lol."
THANK YOU HOLLY!

Yesterday I thought so too Jeff, however ... Holly came up with a resolve and I have included it as an UPDATE above. You might want to review it for your own use too.
You should just write this on Kyle's wall, I do that if I want something. Lol He'll take note for sure. ;)

Quite a noteworthy wish, we just have to keep pushing for what we believe, Trish. Thanks for allowing me to share in your idea, and I trust it will bear some fruits.
Right ON Sheila ... and you're very welcome. Glad you commented as this will give Kyle and Carson a better indication as to how many would love this feature.
I'm sure it won't be easily implemented in such a complicated forum as WA has grown to be... so, it'll be on my wish list f'er sure.
Hey Sheila,

That is an awesome idea, I have also encountered this too. So far the only way I know how to deal with it (and I may be wrong) is to not share but publish on my homepage, then go back and make revisions and then share later. Has anyone else done this?
Am not quit sure that I understand what you are saying Holly. I am referring to the blog posts here at WA not on my website blog.
What you've described sounds like your website blog. Am I correct?

Huh, you've got way more options than I do Holly.
Check out my screen print below...
I only have 3 options :-( in my account.
Holly ... you are a GEM missy!
I found what you are referring too {{{HUGS!}}}
Thank YOU sooooo much!
Oh wow - that's great! I was just about to reply with a screen shot. You are welcome, so glad you found it :)
Me too Holly ... and, I've added to the post here ... giving YOU credit where credit is due.

Trish
Aww, no need to, I'm just happy I was able to help in some way.
Thanks Trish and hugs back :)
Get in touch will Kyle or Carson, maybe if your idea is something they feel appropriate then it may happen.

Bryan
