How do I add a table of contents to my article using Wealthy Affiliate's SiteContent Editor? Is it possible? Or do I need to publish the post, then add the TOC directly to the

You do not need plugins for this. Just use anchor links (aka jumper links), there are many trainings on that here. I have table of contents in many posts.

The easiest way I found was to add the free plugin Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg. Once installed when you need to add a block go to the + sign like normal and then click on Ultimate Addons blocks and you'll find exactly what you need and it will link everything up.

Awesome. Thanks. To be clear, is this from the WP admin dashboard or from the WA Site Content Editor?

Go to the wp dashboard.

Hi Trevor,
I pasted "Is there a way to add a table of contents to my blog post" into Google and got so many results, some of which are shown in the screenshot.

So I will suggest you do the same and get many results to consult.

I understand the veiled frustration about basic questions that people don't even Google before posting. I'm a software engineer, and I google answers all day. I'm familiar with the process.

I chose to ask the community here because I wanted to know specifically if it was possible with the Wealthy Affiliate SiteContent editor, and I was way more confident I'd find that sort of information from the community. I'll go back and edit the question so that it is more clear that that is what I'm looking for.

Thanks anyway.

Forgive meif I sounded like "you should have checked Google." I just wanted to be helpful. Thank you.

If I misunderstood you, I apologize. I'm grateful for how responsive the community is here.

Thank you for reaching out to help me.

How do you know if the niche you've selected is too general or if it's specific enough?

Which kind of niche tends to be more profitable? The general or specific?

Just like Mubs 1 said, Baby Safety Gates is quite specific and a good niche to write about. Think about the bigger picture of Baby Product Reviews as being the parent to your site. Baby gates can be put into a specific category and still be able to review other baby related items ie.... best diapers, diaper services, baby bottles, pacifiers etc...

The point is that you can get noticed by the search engines quickly for writing great content, and having a diversity of baby product reviews will round out your site even better and can make you the go to expert.

Why limit your possibilities! As your skills mature, and your site, so will your ability to see the bigger picture.

So which is your recommendation? More general or more specific?

I think finding a middle ground could do you some good. I am pretty sure that when it comes to baby related items, gates and barriers are not the only thing you will be interested in.

It is a vast subject and as your child continues to grow, so will the variety of items you will discover as a parent and will want to review. You could always do sections with short age ranges and products that pertain to those ages.

Example:

1-3 years of age:
baby gates, strollers, bedding, car seats...

3-5 years of age:
best value clothing, swimwear, durable toys etc....

So I guess the middle ground leans towards broader, but this would be a decision you would have to make. Just don't limit your possibilities. Think it through and also check out not only other sites that relate to what you are thinking, but also affiliate programs that can benefit your marketing tactics.

Baby safety gates is specific but if you can write loads about them you will get noticed by google quicker. Once you start seeing good traffic coming to your website, you can scale up to other baby related items.

Going too broad at the start is not a good idea

I'm gearing up to jump full bore into WA and am curious how long it took to organically get to making $100/mo.

What were the biggest mistakes you made when first startin

My biggest tip = don't compare yourself to others.

It doesn't matter when others made their first $100, because they are not you... What matters is when YOU make it :)

Hi, Trevor,

Nathaniell has compiled a list of success stories from the WA archives. It makes good reading and gives you some idea of some realistic goals to aim for.

If you work hard to go through all the training, and write the articles these guys did, you'll be well on your way.
