I'm coming up with solid ideas for the direction of my website and can see it being a hit once it ranks, but should I be waiting until after I have some quality content before I
If you want your site to rank, use keywords from the start. I had one page go to top of page one after the site was only two weeks old. Use the low hanging fruit that you will find in Jaaxy or Keyword tool. Use one in the title and use it again in the first sentence.
Thank you I've heard that a couple of times since this became a problem. I really do appreciate it.
Hi. Mi think you should be using good keywords, "low hanging fruit", right from the start. Each one will rank high or low but they will help each other overall. Low hanging will get good rankings so I would start with those. Hope this helps.

Are keywords supposed to wait until after quality content?

I the "Disabled Veterans" Niche worth the time? I really want to help them but I've lost all hope that it is even possible to monetize. There's never been a community more capab
You might review Kyle's lesson on what makes a niche profitable. Hint: It's YOU, not the niche itself, lol. That applies to promoting WA as well.

I have a different view about advice to pick something in which one has a keen interest or passion. I believe passion is overrated.
We can acquire passion by doing something first and becoming good at it. That also applies to internet marketing and creating an online business.
It might be easier to focus on helping people with disabilities, rather than specifically veterans. You can narrow the type of assistive tools and technologies you offer as a solution, rather than narrowing your target audience.
You can include disabled veterans within a section of your website devoted to that as a category.
Jen has post recently on the topic of what is a profitable niche. The threads under both Kyle's and Jen's post might give you more food for thought.

I found a few keywords that have excellent monthly searches and low competition, but in order to use them as content I'd have articles repeating the same overall message. I'm wo
I did 50 posts on payday loan laws and they were similar as i used a post template. They all ranked fine.
Here's the lovely things about keywords, you can use more than one in your articles. :) In fact, you actually use tons of keywords in your articles that you don't even know you're using.
If I find a lot of really good keywords for one topic I like to pick the one that works best for my title (which will also be in the first paragraph). Then I may use one or two as sub headers throughout the article. And of course if you can throw any of them in naturally throughout the rest of the article that is just a bonus.
Another thing you can do is alter your permalink when you first create your article to sneak in a few extra keywords. If your article is a list (5 ways to rule the world!) you may want to use the number 5 in the title but then spell it out (five) in the permalink. This should be done when you create your post though. Don't go back and change old ones.

I'm focusing on sharing WA with veterans and I want to use keywords like "free website builder" to gain credit on Google while solving an actual problem on my website. But "free
Thank you for your input, but I'd like to add to my question. What keywords might attract veterans specifically? I don't feel like I can get too much traffic from my Niche without targeting them with at least a couple of keywords. Advice?
veteran job opportunities, and veterans job opportunities both have relatively good results. This isn't something I'm overly familiar with so I'm going to have a bit more trouble finding things than you probably will.
Of course I'm assuming that your niche is online marketing here.
You could tailor certain posts to different eras. Tailor some posts to older vets, some to recent vets, and some to currently serving people. Veteran job opportunities, and veterans job opportunities, has a relatively good QSR and monthly search.
Military spouse support and military spouse jobs also look like decent keywords.
If it were me, my goal would be to bring people in with those types of articles, but then have slightly more generic articles as well that would help them have success with their online business. This way you would not only have the military traffic, but you could also potentially have traffic from any one that happens to be trying to figure out how to improve their online business.
I agree with Craig you could also write about the opportunities for veterans on owning their own on line business all the best
It's a good idea. And although those specific words are not directly related to veterans, the subject matter and interest value are as related to them (us) as anyone else!
Maybe you could write about how older people are turning to the Internet these days, to have a better retirement. There is a few veterans on WA, could get some feedback off them.
