Over the past several months, I've read discussions, blog posts and tutorials on the pros of having and using a YouTube account to monetize an online business, as well as ways to go about doing so. I've pretty much deleted all those emails in my inbox as soon as I saw the word YouTube. I know that there is a lot that can be done with YouTube and it is an awesome tool, so why did I do this? Why did I not bother to read those informative articles/videos? Growing up, the computers in my home wer

This one's inspired by Daniel's recent blog post Haley's Sad Day at School. The unfortunate circumstance of schools teaching and guiding students to live with an employee mentality really bothers me. When I was still in high school I made a commitment to myself that one day (while still a young adult), I will go into the high schools in the communities like mine and speak to the students for a bit about the world really has to offer. I remember in 10th grade we had a subject called 'Careers'. W

Howdy to all my fellow WAers!I've been here several months and I love what I see here! The content is awesome and the community friendly and super helpful :-)However, life has a way of demanding our attention and truth be told, WA has not been my focus. That's not changing any time soon, but it has come to my attention that nothing really gets accomplished without a goal and a solid plan leading to that goal. So, I have decided that rather than spontaneously sit down to work for several h

It's been 13 days and some odd hours since my wonderful kid sister and best friend Taylor, otherwise known within WA as dancegoddess, signed up and officially became a part of this amazing community. This marked 2 significant occurrences for me.1. I got my first $1 - and then some when she upgraded to a premium membership - and that was super exciting for me :-)2. Our sibling rivalry was taken to a whole new level! It's been quite a while since I last blogged and honestly, I haven't be

I've been volunteering in a Jewish outreach camp for Russian girls on the outskirts of Moscow for the past 3 summers. It has been a phenomenal experience in every way and I look forward to going back this summer. However, this year I've decided to try and get involved in the fundraising. To that end, I bought 2 domains under the camp's name (2 possible spellings) and I would like to fundraise this way.The website will describe the camp's mission and what we're all about... I

As I'm browsing my cousin's website of a business he took over for my mom, I just thought of a brainstorm. I have this knowledge about internet marketing and using keywords as a major tool to bring up website ranking that I got from this wonderful community. If I could use this knowledge, and 'go into business' with my cousin than we could both benefit. I was thinking of offering to blog for him and use this as a tool to promote his business, as it's clear that right now his

Whoohoo! While this may sound superficial, it's super exciting to see my ranking go up. No, it doesn't mean that I'm better than anyone else, but it does mean that my efforts are not going unnoticed... Again, no, I don't need my efforts to be noticed by others, but this definitely does keep me motivated.I mean, consider this - I can't remember what I was when I first signed up for WA, but it was definitely in the high tens of thousands... and I've worked my way to 191. I feel like I'm on this great ride - only unlike reality this ride keeps moving upwards and never comes down! I guess in a way it's kind of like a ladder bec the truth is, this ain't no ride - it's step by step work that translates into results due to the time and effort invested. I know, I know, whatever. Move on. Anyway, I'm blogging here because I'm really excited that I've just finished my second article and it's already been accepted by streetarticles... Feel

Wahoo! I can now officially cross off another first on my Bucketlist - I stayed in a hostel on my recent trip to Israel. When I'm not traveling, I'm following travel blogs such as this one - www.nomadicmatt.com - and for about 6 months now I've been dreaming of staying in a hostel. One problem - my parents love me to much to allow me to venture out like that. However, due to technicalities and time differences I had no chance to ask my parents when Sunday afternoon rolled around and I
