Yup, it's a bit belated, but better late than never... Week 2 was really over a couple of days ago, but this is the first chance I'm getting to write this all down. I was home in Toronto for my best friends wedding - which was awesome - so these last few days have been super hectic! I didn't get done what I wanted to do :( but that's ok; I'm just going to continue forging forward and not allow that to slow me down... What I have accomplished this past week: Wealthy Affiliate: Training on The M

I recently published a training on The Mystery of Subdomains. The feedback thus far has been great, but I just received a comment that I want to share with all of you. The comment about being a 'non-authority' came from a note that I posted on the last page of the tutorial that reads as follows: As I read Damien's comment I realized that it is so appropriate for the wonderful people of Wealthy Affiliate and really applies to everything we're doing in online marketing and blogging. Yup! It actually happened! I was in the cafe at my work this morning, waiting to put in my order when I hear someone talking from behind me. I turn around and this lovely mom points to my bag and says, "I noticed your pin; I'm interested to know more." It took me a half a second to register what she was talking about, but then I realized that she saw the buttons I had on my bag. They say: BUILD A FREE ONLINE BUSINESS TODAY. ASK ME HOW (Big shout out to Larry @freedomforus for teaching me this t

Before y'all freak out that I'm going insane and totally losing track of my dates, let me clarify - This is Week 1 of my 100 Day Plan. And it's been awesome! Like I've mentioned many times before, I'm a big procrastinator. I let myself get easily distracted and have mastered the art of focusing on everything but the one thing I should be focusing on. To that end, I signed up for Give It 100, a program that'll keep me on track for the next 100 days by providing me with a platform to post a video

Hey y'all! I'm really excited to get to working on my new website and as a queen of procrastination, I am so happy that I came upon Give It 100 in the process of doing research for a blog post. Give It 100 is basically a 100 day challenge where each person, no matter what it is that one is working on, must post a 10 second video each day for 100 days. It's amazing to see the progress of different peoples' projects... Today I made a 100 Day Calendar that is a basic outline of my plan to really b

Hey y'all! Hope you're all doing well :-) Aaaahhhh! It's been such a busy, busy last few weeks! I love my job, but it's so stressful and sometimes I wonder if that's even possible. If it's really causing me so much stress, maybe I don't love it? It is my dream job, but maybe my dreams have changed... Regardless, I've totally crashed. I'm overwhelmed, exhausted, and wanting to sneak under my covers for the next week, but I can't - I'm running the social program of a weekend retreat starting tom

Hey y'all! It's been a long while during which I let WA progress slide, but I'm back and as excited as ever! I'm really planning to stick with program and hope to see us all progress on our WA journey :-) I just began adding some video Training (woot! woot!) and a couple of people mentioned that it's nice to see a 'face' behind the username :) I totally agree and would love to meet fellow WA members. It'll be a great inspiration and will help strengthen the camaraderie... Considering that I'm n

The New Year There is something about the newness, the freshness, the start of a new time period that inspires us to change, to aspire and to grow. One of the most common ways of expressing above emotion is through 'New Year's Resolutions'. Without going through the whole 'most people have forgotten their resolutions by the time February comes around' shpiel, I will say that most people have forgotten their resolutions by the time February comes around. Truth be told though, I don't believe it'

Before the accident: Do I really need car insurance? What could possible happen? I'm a safe and responsible driver... I think my credit card covers accidents... After the accident: But, it really wasn't my fault! I'm not to blame! What?! How could my insurance not cover that?! What do you mean I'm not covered for 3rd party liabilities?! My Weekend Road Trip: One of the perks of my job is that I officially have off every other weekend. This means I can leave first thing Friday morning and come

I was just reading Darlene's post - https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/darlenejones/blog/i-feel-the-need - and my reaction was to share with a lesson I have just finished teaching to my 10th grade class. I figured I'd post it here so you can all enjoy it! Aaron Fothingerham I showed them a closeup shot of Aaron Fothingerham, 21 years old, (google him) and then asked them what their initial judgement of him is... (cool guy, strong, etc...) I then told them that he was a finalist in the Vegas AmJam
