One Year Since I Embarked on this Journey
One year!?
It's crazy! Unbelievable!
Where the heck does the time go when we're not looking? And how does it manage to get away even when we are?
Does a lack of success mean failure?
It's terribly disorienting when you feel like you've got a grip on your life, like you've got things in order and under control, like you're following a schedule that'll lead to success, and suddenly you find yourself way off track.
But, life happens, and that's ok.
It's not always about achieving or not achieving our goals, but about knowing when it's time to reevaluate and consider adjusting a deadline.
This week's wake up call.
I got an email a few days ago from Namecheap about an automatic annual renewal that I had scheduled for projectswag.org. For Project SWAG! That's my baby. My project that I started; the one that I dream will one day revolutionize high school curriculums across North America and one that I absolutely believe in.
And I'm nowhere near where I expected to be by now :(
This email was such a wake up call for me.
I don't see it as a slap in the face, as a sign of failure. However, I do see it as a reminder of what remains to be attained and the fact that time is constantly in a race against me as it pushes me to move forward in life and learn to let go of the things that waste this precious commodity.
The 10 in 20 challenge.
Kyle just challenged us all to complete 10 reviews for our affiliate bootcamp sites in the next 20 days. Yes, for a WA cup. Duh! Who can resist working for that ;) ?!
While I initially planned to sit this one out because of everything else I've got on my plate, I've decided to take the leap and go for it.
I'm a professional procrastinator and while I love writing, I tend to get stuck when I need to write. So, accomplishing this feat will help me focus on doing what I gotta do when I gotta do it! And hopefully, this will help me with my other sites.
Taking the hint ;)
I'm happy that I got this little reminder in the form of an automatic Namecheap email and I plan to use it wisely!

Good luck! Keep up the great work, the great attitude ... from another big procrastinator! M
VERY TRUE, Stephanie! Time keeps moving along, even if we watch it closely, as you said. Congratulations on your 1-year anniversary!
Congratz on your one-year anniversary! You haven't failed. You've just learned lots of ways it doesn't work. And those aren't my words. They belong to Thomas Edison. So you're in good company! Year 2 may just be your year!
Congratulations on your one year anniversary!!! That's amazing!!! I love your attitude that you have now been reminded of your goals and what you wish to achieve. You say revolutionize high schools? That's going to be a very big movement and those don't happen in a day. Just start that writing and keep on going. I have no doubt you will achieve those dreams and be able to make a difference in the lives of others. I give you a big KUDDOS! Be proud of what you have accomplished so far and be excited about what is yet to come.
Thank you for your kind words!
Yup, that's me... dreaming big. Definitely don't expect it to happen overnight, but even if I want it to happen in 15 years, I still have to be focusing on it daily. And I'm doing my best ;)
Hey Stephanie, congrats on your anniversary, I'm glad you're doing the challenge, I know you will get it done. I hope you know I have dibs on the black mug. There are plenty of other mugs you can choose from. lol Wish you the best! :) Evelyn

The fact that you are still here, and working towards a goal, means that you are determined and you will make it. Hold on tight and enjoy the ride. Congratulations on your 1st anniversary.
Thank you!
