I Got My Acceptance Email!
As many of you know, I've been diligently working on my newest project, Project SWAG, for the last few weeks. Project SWAG is a free tool for educators offering a series of character building workshops for use both in and out of the classroom.
The Collaboratory
Recently, I got an email that included a link to 'The Collaboratory'. I was curious to see what it was all about and clicked on About Us.
Here's what I saw:
The Collaboratory was born to provide a forum for emerging leaders to build relationships, strengthen skills, and connect the right dots to advance their work.
We invite our communities’ visionaries, activists, and catalyzers of change to join this growing and dynamic network by applying to attend the 2014 NYC gathering.
The Collaboratory seeks to build a diverse cohort of Jewish innovators pursuing high-level, change-oriented projects in communities throughout the world. Applicants will be selected based on demonstrated leadership in their field, project and cohort fit, and commitment to professional growth and collaboration.
It looked like something right up my alley, so I applied.
Acceptance
Lo and behold, I got accepted!
I'm super, super excited and right now I'm just waiting for the ok from my boss that I can leave work for a couple of days to attend this event, but G-d willing it will work out.
I'm so excited about what The Collaboratory can offer me in terms of support, networking, marketing and overall exposure.
For now, I'm just praying that my principal will be supportive and encouraging and that she will be happy to let me go...
Promise of a Future
Whatever happens, I am happy to know that others believe that this has potential and I can't wait to see where this takes me...
Cheers to y'all!
