The chart above is self-explanatory. I put it here because there are some who think I have an Internet addiction. The chart doesn't say anything about building businesses though.

A Heated Discussion

Last evening someone mentioned something about their computer going very slowly and I gave a couple suggestions on how to speed it up.

My landlord's son suddenly came up with the idea that I need to be doing something about making more money on top of what I'm already doing (my online campaigns) by offering a service to people who need help with computer repair.

When he came up with, "I know you don't like to work for other people." I knew this was opening up a can of worms ...and it did!

One of the other neighbors responded to that after it was said for about the third time, and came up with. "Your problem is, you won't get off your ass and get a job like everybody else has to. People like us have to pay for you to sit behind that computer!"

Trying to Rub Society the Wrong Way Can Hurt!

This is one of many situations like the ones above to crop up. This all comes at all angles and from different people in different ways, but the most common are...

  • They don't like others passing them up.
  • They don't like what's different - and will either try to get you back in the wall or destroy you, which ever type of people you're dealing with.
  • Most of these folks have the "You Can't Do That!" mentality.

Much better you don't disclose what you're doing at work. A few will connect with you, but most won't.

If you've had this type of stuff happening to you, you're in good company. We live in a society where wage-earning is the only acceptable way.

This tutorial, as I said in the Summary, is more of a motivator than a tutorial, but nonetheless, there are things in here that I hope will help you keep on keeping on.

I know about a lot of those things you are talking about. Some people around me think I'm wasting my time. They think I'm just playing and surfing the internet. It can be difficult, especially when you work full time at another job. I've had a few spats with my girlfriend over spending too much time on the computer and not enough with her, but I deal with it and she get's over it pretty quick.

The bottom line is that I have a goal to make this online business thing work. I have to get my life back. I'm sick and tired of going to a job that dictates your every move. I don't care how much I make working for some one else, it's just not worth it. I want to be free, and the only way I'm going to gain my freedom back is by either winning the lottery (unlikely) or to make my online business happen, and that's just what I intend to do.

Unfortunately it does take time and it sometimes comes with some sacrifices. The first thing that goes in my life is the entertainment. I try to do the best I can to consolidate things I have to do so I can accommodate my work. Usually I do have ample time but sometimes my Internet connection goes down or gets so low pages won't load. right now I'm trying to download a large video file and it's been almost an hour now. It's nerve-wracking because all it takes is one little glitch and if it interrupts the download, it's do it over again.

As for employment, it's not worth it! I feel bad for folks who have families and are stuck in low-paying BS jobs that they have to go to every day and watch the clock. I came from that but fortunately in this regard, I don't have a family to support. That is surely much, much harder than I've ever had. Still, even being single with no family, a minimum-wage job at full time will only barely put me at the point where living is acceptable. I'm living in a broken camper and have been for a long time.

This is one reason why I've been able to keep WA and continue to work in here. My problem is, for example, tomorrow is a holiday. I banked on a good day for my work on here in the Boot Camp and I just got a phone call that I'm going to be working helping take Christmas decorations to a warehouse and put them up in storage. Lots of that and it will take most of the day. It is hard to plan stuff, even at my level, I could only imagine (in fact I know) what it's like trying to work around a full-time, even a part-time job.

Sorry to some folks who have already begun reading this. There are some issues with the editor that didn't exist before the recent update. I lost my work twice but the second time I figured out a way around this not happening again by publishing this before it was completed. In order not to lose it again, I had to.

So, it is now completed. Hope it helps some of you on here who are having a go at trying to get build your business :)
