Alright, you have a list of 10 or so keywords...now what?
Before you
write your article, you should understand the underlying concepts of
the keywords. For example, if you were going to write an article
targeting the keyword "how to find a job in a down economy", you should make
sure that you understand the concept enough to write a 400-500 word
article.
The good news...
The Internet has more than
enough information, stats, and insight into pretty much any imaginable topic that you can leverage to quickly put together
articles...you just need to know where to look. Here is a list of the
top sites that I use and how to obtain content for your article:
(1) Existing Article Directories
Do
a search within http://www.streetarticles.com for similar topics. This
will not only give you ideas for content, it will give you working
examples of some articles that other top article marketers have written.
I don't recommend copying titles or ideas, but you may be able to get some insight into particular topics.
(2) Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org)
Wikipedia
is an online encyclopedia that is great for finding related content to
pretty much any niche, including Internet marketing. For example, when
we type in US Economy (from the example above) we get
the following page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_the_United_States
There
is a bunch of great information and data that you can use on this page
and include within your article. This includes some history, employment stats, entrepreneurship info, currency info, jobs info, etc. All great stuff that you could use as insight into writing a more "insightful" article.
(3) Forums (even the WA Forum)
Forums
are great places to research any keyword topic related to your WA
promotions. Whether you are looking for info about keyword tools,
internet marketing themes, google adwords, home business or otherwise,
you can easily find out what people are looking for and the issues they
are having within forums.
First things first, check out the WA
forum for some ideas. You can do a search within the forum to find out
info on a specific topic.
Next, go to Google and search for forums. You can find forums about pretty much everything by typing in:
forum + topic
Replace
"topic" with your actual keyword. For example, the topic for my
initial "how to make money with adwords keyword" would be "google
adwords.
forum + find a job
forum + bad economy
A quick search yielded several pages of related results!
(4) "How To" Sites
Another
good way to find writing concepts for a niche is to find out what
questions people are asking and what the answers people are giving for
them. To do this, we use "how to" sites to research.
Here are the top ones:
http://www.wikihow.com
http://www.ehow.com
http://answers.yahoo.com
Type
your keyword or related concept into the search bar on any one of these
sites and you will get a good idea of which "problems" people are
looking for solutions to. I typed "find a job in a bad economy" into WikiHow and
these are some of the things I found:
The key is to come up with some paragraph concepts that you could write about. For the example I have provided "how to find a job in a down economy", these are some concepts I came up with quickly for this particular article:
- How bad is our economy really
- Are there still jobs out there
- What is the best way to find a job
- Do you still need to go into the office
- Solutions that you can use now to get employed
In
only a few seconds I have more than enough ideas for an entire
article. Some of these you will be able to come up with from the top
of your head, others will require you to perform research on these
sites I mentioned above.
Either way, create a list of 4-6 concepts you can write about (1 per paragraph).
Now it is time to take these concepts and write an article about it.
