I have done what you have explained in the video. What I observed was that when I created subitem and selected that menu display as "top menu", the subitem is not displayed under the main item (showing separately). It is displayed under main item only when I select the menu display to be "main menu". I have saved changes to the manage locations also. Still, I could see the same I explained above. Hope you understood what is my problem. Please resolve it for me if you find any solution.

It sounds like that is working as designed. You don't see submenus until you click on the top menu item.

No. You did not get it sir. When I create a menu and set its structure, I need to select the "display location" of it, which are given as checkboxes at the bottom of the menu structure. They are topmenu, main menu and bottom menu. Top menu checking will display our menu on the top of the page, main menu selection displays our menu item in the middle and bottom one will get displayed at the bottom of the page.
Now, my problem is that when I check my current menu as the "top menu" and use the currently created menu as a menu to be displayed on the top of my page, the subitem is not getting listed under the main item instead is shown separately. But, when I check my current menu as "main menu", the subitem is listed under main item and is shown in the middle of the page.
My problem is why is the subitem not getting listed under the main item when the menu is made to display on the top of the page?
Hope I am clear about my question?

It sounds like your theme hasn't been updated recently and is giving you issues.

Change to the Twenty Seventeen theme and see if the problem persists.

Blue Snowball. Recommended by Jay. He's moved up to another level from the same company but I'm quite pleased with this one.
