DIY Word Cloud

Yesterday I created my first word cloud because I wanted a suitable featured image for a post on one of my websites. So today I share the process with my Wealthy Affiliate friends.

I used Microsoft Word to generate synonyms and saved the file for future reference - just in case something goes wrong or I change my mind about the way the word cloud looks.

The website with the word cloud app is http://www.wordle.net/ The app is written in Java which, I discovered, doesn't work on my computer in Chrome, Firefox or even Microsoft's new Edge browser. I had to reinstall Internet Explorer 11 to be able to use it. Apologies, in the video I kept saying JavaScript but it really is Java.

For the screenshots I use Jing Screenshots

These are the word clouds I created:

And this is the end result:

If you like it then feel free to use it any way you want.

I use Chrome nearly all of the time but I couldn't get Java to work so I had to resort to Internet Explorer (yuk!)
