3. To Make and Maintain Contacts
My critic from 2009 said that all we need is a couple of forums or social sites to be in contact with marketers. I say the contacts that we need are those that are in our rowboat facing the same sharks. That gives us a basis for understanding. When we ask a question we get a relevant answer. The members here know what we are asking about and since they have had the same trials and road blocks, they give us good answers.
The top earners at WAU are busy people but they have time to answer questions. So they are not only committed to making money, they are committed to making contacts with others. So, they are not only teaching others, they are learning from other members of WA.
I try to greet as many new members as I can. Some times I get a good idea from a member who has only been at WAU for a few hours. Those who stick around here meet many people from different persuasions. They are a valuable resource to you.
And we are a worldwide outfit. I sent a painting to one of our members in France a month or so ago. She calls me Grandpa. I have a good friend up in the cold of northern Canada who has stayed in contact with me for years although she is not very active right now because she is developing a new business.
Lately, I have been chatting with a member from El Salvador and sometimes me chat in Spanish. And I have some good friends in England whom I wish I had known when I went to England every three months. Each of these members has certain talents that they bring to WAU. We teach them and they teach us.
The OEP has dramatically changed WAU by dramatically increasing the education base. Look at the great tutorial, Wabinars and blogs. I see folks copying me, new members who want to contribute. I love to see this, that new members see that if this old man can contribute, so can they. I’m glad that they picked up on a subject I introduced and moved it forward. It’s sort of like Rugby, isn’t it. Don’t sit on the ball, pick it up and run with it.

You and all the other members is what draws me to WA.
Sure, I can find the same information scattered online for free; but I won't find a better group of like minded individuals who will help me 24/7 at the drop of a hat. Not only help me, but genuinely support me and care about my success.
Teacup also brought up such a great point. Everything online changes SO quickly. It's reassuring to know everything is up-to-date here.
