United States of America tax season will begin on Monday, January 23, 2017, this was announced recently by the IRS. Now’s a good time to make sure you’re prepared and have all your documents in order, so you don’t miss out on getting the maximum refund in a timely manner.

Waiting for the last minute to get your tax documents ready could delay your refund big time. Some new laws were passed that are going to delay the refund process for millions of filers during the 2017 tax season. More about the new laws later in this lesson.

You should always be prepared to file your taxes; Keep a file cabinet or filing system of your taxes for no less than seven years. Everything your business does, even the free stuff you give away should have a receipt that you will want to keep as proof.

Work Backwards

When is the best time to start preparing to file your taxes? The answer is within the question. When you start your business you need to start preparing for the next year tax season. This may feel confusing to you, so I'm going to break it down to make it understandable.

The dreaded time for sure. I use an online service and seriously, it works well for us. We don't have a lot of tax stuff going on that I can't do myself. For sure if we had some serious medical issues or other items that would send us over the standard deduction I would certainly entertain getting help from a professional. Thanks for sharing this!

I agree with you, Kathy. I subject people do their taxes themselves if someone is only having to use a simple form like The Form

1040EZ, here a link to it
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040ez.pdf,

and here's are the Instruction to form

Most of the time, but not always anyone using the not so complicated forms is getting a refund that is less than the cost of using a professional service. In this case, I would recommend the taxpayer use all the free help available to them.

hat free help can really find miss deduction and credits that will give you back a bigger refund. I recommend even if you do your own taxes, give them a call and put more eye on finding anything you may have missed.
