All your documents must be provided with the right information before the IRS will accept your claim for a refund. This could mean a lot of work; Can you see the importance of preparing yourself well ahead of tax season?

Here's a list of information you must have to file your taxes:

What You Must Have to File Taxes

  • Your name
  • Your social security number
  • Your spouse's social security number
  • Your filing status; Single, Married filing jointly, or married filing separately
  • If you have and dependents; Child, Foster Child Parents
  • Your personal income
  • Some personal are deductible (What personal expense may be deductible?)
  • Your business income
  • Your business expenses

The IRS offer free information for all users; They also provide free professional tax preparation for qualifying taxpayers. May I subject you check out the IRS help and resources page.

This course is just a guide I put together to help you get into a habit of keeping up with your taxes, to help reduce your loss from miss deductions and increase you refunds over the years. I AM NOT CERTIFIED, I'm just giving you my opinion and showing you what I do when it come to doing my taxes every tax season.

The dreaded time for sure. I use an online service and seriously, it works well for us. We don't have a lot of tax stuff going on that I can't do myself. For sure if we had some serious medical issues or other items that would send us over the standard deduction I would certainly entertain getting help from a professional. Thanks for sharing this!

I agree with you, Kathy. I subject people do their taxes themselves if someone is only having to use a simple form like The Form

Most of the time, but not always anyone using the not so complicated forms is getting a refund that is less than the cost of using a professional service. In this case, I would recommend the taxpayer use all the free help available to them.

hat free help can really find miss deduction and credits that will give you back a bigger refund. I recommend even if you do your own taxes, give them a call and put more eye on finding anything you may have missed.
