Recently I have seen a lot of members writing about how they rank on the first page of Google after only having had their website for a month or two.
However, very often it is not the actual ranking, but instead a misleading result because we forget an important aspect when checking rank - GOOGLE REMEMBERS WHAT YOU ARE DOING ONLINE.
Google adapts its search results based on your previous search history to be able to give you better results that fits your interests. And as you are a lot on your own website or maybe even logged into your G+ account, the search results coming up will most likely be affected by this.
This means that if you are just checking your rank like you are doing a normal Google search, you might very well end up seeing your own posts on page 1 (especially G+ posts if you are logged in), but for any one else doing a search your post might not even be on the first 10 pages.
So this tutorial will tell a very easy and fast way to check your rank and will go through the following:
- How to use Google incognito mode
- What incognito mode does not show you
- Other ways to check your rank to get a fuller picture
