What Influences these intents?
There are a lot of different factors that may influence a user intent, and these intents can also change depending on a number of different factors.
For Instance, a user will use a keyword to purchase a product, and then use other keywords after purchasing the product. The user intent in this example has automatically changed after making the purchase.
However, informational intent is what most users have when using search engines. This is because people are constantly looking for solutions to their problems, and answers to their questions.
If a user makes an informational search query on how to fix their phone, the next may be how to get to a destination in their city or country.
How to Fit in the Users’ Shoes
No matter how hard you try, you cannot know exactly what your audience is thinking about. First, you must recognize the four categories of user intent to find a solution to them.
Once you have fully understood what these search intent categories are, you will be able to build a content strategy that will help you match any user intent.
Your content strategy should not only align with your user’s search intent, but it should be beneficial and relevant. If your reader clicks through your content and reads through it, Google will notice that your content was helpful to your audience.
This will not only bring you more traffic, but it will also boost your ranking on search engine result pages.
A good way to build a content strategy is the Google Search Console. This tool helps you understand your audience’s informational intent. When you know this, creating content to match such intent will not be much of a problem to you.
Thanks for opening my eyes to the importance of what user intent really is and how best to use what our readers require as a minimum.
Have a fantastic and productive day my friend!
