Good post but I have to disagree with the part that says "Paid Surveys" are one of the other top ways to make money online.

They make claims that individuals can make hundreds of dollars a month. In order to do that, I think one would have to do surveys for hours a day on several sites and they would have to get accepted for almost all surveys they attempt.

Now I'm not saying that it can't be done because I don't have a way of knowing what others have experienced but, I have found that I was being refused for a lot more surveys than I was actually was accepted for.

Part of that might be because I am honest when I am asked pre-amble questions and because I am honest I am constantly told that I don't qualify.

As a result, I have unsubscribed from all but two and even those don't really pay enough for the amount of time spent doing a survey, (as little as 40 cents for 20-40 minutes of work? isn't really worth my time). I thought they wanted our opinions but it seems to me that you have to be dishonest in order to be accepted for these surveys.

Perhaps others have been more successful because they have a wider range of experiences in these areas but not me.

This is just my experience but I am willing to bet that many others have experienced the same issues.

Perhaps I didn't do enough research before jumping in on these sites. Like I said, this is just one person's opinion.

Thanks for the info and have a great day.

True surveys take a lot of time and is not as rewarding as the other methods I elaborated on. Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm with you on that, Wayne. I have unsubscribed, actually, from ALL survey sites. Period. I would say the ratio of qualification was about 1 in 50. Ludicrous. That was one aspect of online presence I was happy to "quit." Talk about a waste of time!

I have monetized my blog using Adsense and a couple of other affiliate links, and it's just bringing in a little pocket change (I know that's better than nothing) I also monetize my Youtube videos. I did not have any luck with Amazon so I removed the banner ad.

Amazon is somewhat hard to monetize with banners. I find that native shopping ads work better because the ad is customized to each person just like adsense ads.
