Offering something to the people and to ask them to do something is not wrong. Especially, if you create valuable content, that offers solutions to people’s problems and gives them the answers to their questions, covering their needs and desires, then, absolutely you don’t have to worry about putting CTA in your post (offer, invitation, proposal and content creation).
Tell them simply what you want. Be clear, precise and straight. People sometimes need be told what to do. Just be sure you are offering them something valuable.
How to tell them to do something?
- Be proactive (simply ask them)
- It is your business, be accurate and to the point (build trust)
- You can even tell the people to call you by the phone (build relationship and credibility)
- Use simple, short words, like: “click here to ...”
- Don’t spread “click here” all over the content, use it especially if you are using links as CTA.
- You can bold the CTA within your text
- Post colored buttons (red color is enticing the action, blue color entices trust, calmness, green color relaxation, and it is easy to watch it, etc...)
- The purpose of your CTA will decide about the form and color of it
- Additional words you may use: subscribe, go here, go to, read this, view this, visit this link, buy now, get started now, get started today ... you’ve got the point
The point is to invite, to “bribe” the visitor of your content (the reader, the viewer, and listener) to make the resolute decision and to do what you want from him or her.
