What is a Widget?
It sounds like something you'd find in the kitchen or the garage but in WordPress it's something you'll find in your Dashboard. If you like technical explanations you can find some here http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Widgets

Where do I find Widgets?
In your Dashboard hover over Appearance and click on Widgets to see what Widgets you have available to use and read a very brief explanation of what each Widget does. The Widgets you have available will vary according to your theme and the plugins you have installed. I'll just look at the ones that come standard with your WordPress installation. You may have more.

How Do I Delete a Widget?
