Great training Diane.
Just a question, what about the bounce rate, does it have a big impact on ranking as well?

Hi - that is a very good question! It's certainly one of the ranking factors currently, and will become more important once the Page Experience algorithm rolls out.

Ow cool. Thanks for the reply.

Do you have any tips to decrease the bounce rate?

Your bounce rate is the percentage of all users who enter and exit on the same page, without any clicks to other pages on your site. So, that could be for several reasons.

Navigation is one - if they can't see how to get to another post. Or if they found that the content they landed on was of no use to them, so they are not enticed to read anything else. Or visitors are immediately hit with a pop-up and instantly click away from your site.

Thanks Diane.

I receive mails in my inbox regarding this Core Web Vitals and am wondering how much attention I need to put into it other than focusing on my research and then content writing for my niche...

Seems like I may not need to be too worried about it...

Interstitials? Now even I had to look that one up and you can write a whole post, in fact a whole book on this. Anyway, I found this which is interesting
"Displaying an interstitial ad when a user navigates from one of your pages to another page is acceptable. However, if a user can find that page with a Google search, it can’t include any interstitials. They are only allowed if the website is not listed by Google".
We aren't allowed interstitials on this site.

Thank you Diane.

Wonderfully explained and extremely informative.

Bit a tongue-twister that last one.

In fact, I came up with a completely different word while trying to say it aloud... but we won't go there.

Thanks
Partha
