How long should a page be on your content site. How many pages do you need for a high page rank (SEO)? Well, as far as the later goes, I was surprised. John

THIRTY pages???? Oh, wow. I'm hoping mine is a content site but I've got only five static pages that are for the boring stuff and about 20 or so blog rolls populated by related content blogs that I control with the category settings.

Hmmm....

Not sure I want to change the design. It encourages long stays and browsing, I think. I know when I used to do retail (selling fine crafts), one thing we tried to do was keep the customers in the store. Often they ended up buying SOMETHING!

It's important to make sure the pages you do have are of good quality. The source given said that Google punishes sites that store bad pages. This makes me think about going over some of my sites to make sure what is still there is relevant and of quality and with enough content of about 2000 words. John

So to clarify, since we are talking about content we are counting posts? Because I only have 1 that is classified as a page -- then my posts are located under categories in my menu!

We are talking about content pages, not post such as on your blog. For a blog, you must post often to get notice.

20 to 30 pages! Right now that seems very difficult, but I guess we need to have a mindset of "go slow and go far". I can see now why it takes a couple of years to start getting profit from your work. Bob
