You can use that website you already have but why not transfer it over to WA for the free hosting?

You can use WA in whatever way it suits you best. Before I joined, I already had a Word Press website up and running (and still do) that is hosted on Blue Host. I have continued using WA because of all the training and helpful info. I have learned tons through their affiliate boot camp that I use on my other blog.

I did start an additional website in a different niche that is hosted within WA just to explore which might end up being more profitable for me. I had already been a little torn between the two niche's so it worked for me. You do have the option of bringing that domain over and hosting it within WA if you wanted but you can totally leave it where it's at if you are happy with your current web host. (If you are on a plan that charges monthly it could save you a monthly fee)

If you use one of the free websites you are given, they are not actually yours, so yes, if you cancel your membership, then you can't move them anywhere and they will no longer be hosted. However, if you are using a purchased .com domain, then you own it. If you cancel, you are given 30 days to move it to another hosting service.

Yes. Don’t upgrade until you’re sure you can make the premium payments. You can always rejoin as a new free member. But it would be like starting again.

Here’s my recommendation. Save up while you’re a free member until you have the $359 for the annual membership. That’s less than $1 a day.

If you are willing to wait, WA has a Black Friday sale of $299 for a year. Once you get that, your annual renewal will always be that amount.

Upgrade now if you can afford the $49 monthly subscription. When the Black Friday sale happens, transfer to that rate.

Any one of those would make a wonderful niche. With so many interests, just focus on the one that you believe will be the easiest to create content for. Which one does your gut tell you will flow more from your heart and mind? Whichever niche you choose is going to require a ton of content, and the last thing you want to do is pick something that's going to be a struggle, or worse, turn into a "job".

Depending o what kind of painter you are a website on the painting or best art supplies is a good niche website. You can also do a wide variety of niches in the health and wellness genre, too many to list here and a choice you would have to make based on your knowledge of the subject.

You can stay a free member for as long as you like but can only take the first 10 of 50 lessons. But when you do decide to upgrade to premium, you will still be able to get the first month discount of $19. This discount does not expire after 7 days.

Your motivation should come from your desire to build your own business and not work for someone else, not from anything we say or do.

As far as making "tangible" progress, you must keep in mind that this is in no way get-rich-quick. It's going to take time, patience, and a boatload of hard work. It's a business like any other. The only difference is you don't have all the typically associated overhead that goes along with a traditional business (office space, storefront, warehouse, etc.)

You're right that you may not have made any money in a couple of months. Everything in life is a risk to some degree. To me this is a relatively low risk option as it's not that much money to explore. You can always pull out if it's not working for you. Only you can tell if it's of value to you by exploring, by what you experience and how you feel. This is not a magical solution, it does take hard work, practice, learning and evolving which ultimately leads to your success. Personally I feel Wealthy Affiliate is what it says it is and is aligned with good values which means a lot to me as there are so many companies that have hidden agendas.

You will have social media related to your website and be engaging people there to help create traffic and build trust. You will also have found and be using affiliate programs to begin to earn income.

You can actually change your user name in at your profile area. that is not a big issue.
your concern is, about promoting a certain product and blog and etc. you can start now promoting any product based on your niche. and you can also promote product from affiliate websites, like amazon, eBay, and etc. you can also promote Wealthy Affiliate. it is all up to you.

Just stay focus on your niche when promoting a product. you can now start selling and promoting as long as you already start the foundation of your website.

First off, Welcome! You have 2 main training courses. The OEC course is all about picking a niche, building your site, attracting visitors and monetizing it. The Affiliate Bootcamp is similar but focuses on WA as the affiliate program.

This program is very different. No promises of making money with little to no effort or getting rich quick, etc. The training is top-notch and the platform is pretty amazing.

That's all well and good but the absolute best part of WA is the community. There's always someone to help when you need it.

It's a business. As such, it requires time and effort on your part. Each situation is different but, as a ballpark generalization, I'd say don't expect much for 6 months to a year.

As for being in the UK, there are several members here that are based there.

We have many UK based members, so no it doesn't matter. As far as the program, other than possibly upgrading to a Premium membership and the purchase of a domain name, there are no extra fees and certainly no required "upsells". Everything is out in the open; what you see is what you get.

For what it's worth, I, too, have been through my fair share of less-than-stellar programs and even outright scams. A lot of our members have similar backgrounds as well. There is nothing get-rich-quick about WA. It is a legitimate business like any other; it will take time and a lot of hard work, but it is certainly doable if you are patient. Moreover, the overhead and expenses are virtually nothing when compared to a traditional brick-and-mortar.

As for "personal coaching" you have access to the entire community. There are hundreds--if not thousands--of members who are successfully running niche affiliate sites as we speak. The process works.

One thing to keep in mind regarding your experience in marketing. Any new site is simply going to take time because Google has to first find and index it, and then will watch it for a bit to assess the quality and determine where it should rank in relation to what else it out there. Nothing we bring to the table (I have an MBA) will change that. Will your past experience help in the long run? Of course. But it won't speed up the natural process. Think of it like farming. You can't just plant the seed today and harvest the crop tomorrow. Everything has a season.

As AJ said, the only upsell is to go Premium. Going Premium is actually a reasonable option since the cost for a year can be easily covered in a month. Another investment, which is an option, is to purchase your own domain name. Again the cost is minimal compared to your options outside of WA.

The options really are endless. I suggest picking a niche close to your heart...something you're passionate about. This will make the "word" more fun and keep you motivated. My first site is all about drones. My next site is actually promoting WA and then my next 2 sites after that are going to be SCUBA and Sailing....All of these are passions of mine (WA became one unexpectedly but I love it here!).

Yes... pick a niche that you are truly passionate about -- one that you won't get tired of creating content for -- and then follow the training program step-by-step. Don't get in a hurry. Make sure you actually complete the tasks at the end of each lesson before moving on, because many of the later lessons are based on tasks you have already done.

Love your tolerance Kyle, but they are both French words and deserve the French pronunciations of neesh and keesh. Americans usually don't realize that they are the only people in the world who (or at least some of them) miss-pronounce them as nitch and kitch. Along with their back to front dates :-) Mind, some of us Aussies pronounce quiche as quickie but that has another connotation altogether.

So by you doing all your own work then you are saving $450.00 a month in

Besides this is now your website with no one else having control but you!

Does this make some sense - yes - what you own no one can duplicate
and it is yours to do with as you see fit :)

Thanks for your quick reply! So a website through WA will have all the best software updates to keep up to the ever changing hardware? What I’m referring to is when you see a webpage viewed differently on an iPhone 5 vs a 6 and differently again on a desktop.

Well I would ditch Shopify. I spent 6 months trying to get my website working over there and there was no help. Focus on what your site is about and what it is that you bring to the site (with your experience) that makes it valuable to your reader. Your Initial Framework Of Content

Your about me page is in essence, a page just about you. Why are you interested in this particular niche and why do you want to help others out? Share that along with a bit about yourself and an image and you will be just fine.

There is no right or wrong with an about me page, it is simply a page about you and you can dictate what is said on that page (and you can always update this as you progress within your niche).

The About Me page can be anything about YOU that you want to talk about. I usually make it personal and casual, but don't feel pressure to say anything private you don't want to be public!

I always relate it to my niche in some way. Why is this topic interesting to you? Why did you start a website about it? What do you hope to accomplish with the website?

People will be very curious about who you are. The About Me page is always one of the most popular pages on a website. Be sure to include a picture of yourself, and see if you can get one of you doing something related to your niche.

Andrew, This is a business you are starting and no one can tell you how long it will take to be successful. If you bought a bricks and mortar business no one could predict whether you would be successful or not and this is the same - it is just that it is a different platform. Some people get it working quickly - others take longer but if this is something you want it wont matter how long it takes just as long as it works. It does work and you will not be scammed, you wont be upsold on anything and there is no end of help from the live chat community and the co-founders. That is all I can say - the rest is up to you
