Well firstly, as you are probably reading this as a newcomer - Welcome To Wealthy Affiliate!

I created this resource to help you get your questions answered. I know a lot of people come in and ask the same questions, and fortunately we have some very patient people who frequent the live chat, but to save everyone time, here are some of the questions I am going to be answering today:

This is just a "Frequently Asked" list, but if your question isn't here, try searching for it in the search bar, asking in live chat, or writing a blog post here on WA.

The next few pages will cover these questions and give answers and related training in full.

So if I have say, 5 pages of topics I want to cover and my homepage is a blogroll of recent posts, how do I link those posts to a relevant topic page?

If you go to your dashboard and click on appearance --> menus then you'll see in the top right corner of the menus screen 'screen options' check the box next to posts. Now you can add your posts to the menu. If your topic pages are listed in the menu drag the post and have it situated under the appropriate topic page. (The post should appear slightly to the right directly beneath the topic page on your menu).

Thank you, that has helped! It wasn't quite what I had in mind, as the posts don't actually show on the topic page itself, but it's infinitely better than what I had! I'm thinking maybe some categories and some links in conjunction.... Thanks again!!

What you can also do is have your categories (topic pages) as menu items and then when you make a post and put it in that category that post will show up on the category page automatically. The post won't show as a menu item that way unless you put the post in your menu like I had mentioned before.

Thanks! That's more what I'm looking for! Unfortunately, when I use categories like that a large heading appears on the page stating "Category Archives: (and gives category name)". Is this just default with the theme I have, do you suppose?
Sorry to seem so particular! You are being a great help to me, thank you!

Hey don't ever worry about being particular. This is your online masterpiece and getting it the way you want to function is important. Unfortunately my expertise is quite limited on the subject (I'm pretty new myself) so I don't have the answer to your last question. You could try asking it in the need help bar at the top and see if someone has an answer to that one :)

You understand about being particular! I suppose everyone on here feels that in some way, huh? Thanks for your help so far, and I will take your advice and seek the answer in the top bar! Thanks again!

Thanks, as you can see I first came up with the idea in February and it took me a while to finish lol

Well like you said in the beginning, there are new people coming in A LOT of the time. And this is a great place to start and so they don't know the answers. Good place to get a lot of those basic questions answered.

Thank you so much, DomW. I could be asking any one of those questions from time to time as I move through learning and learning and learning. Unfortunately remembering is not the natural result of learning so much. Quick references like this should be over there on the left. I mean, why not. I know I'm not the only one who wants a quick FAQ at my fingertips.

Well, maybe if you ask Kyle nicely he will stick it over there on the left for us :) Seriously though, you made some good points and I kind of expected a lot of people to be referencing this training in the future (it's what I use to determine whether or not I make a training).

This is a great idea to put it on the left side. As I was reading, I was thinking, "What if I need one of these answers later on...Will I be able to find this training again?" It would also be excellent for newcomers to see right away. Kyle? Carson?

You can always add it to your bookmarks or just search "wa FAQ" into the search bar. Not that I mind you petitioning K&C though, but I think they are quite specific about what goes on the left!

Here's hoping. I imagine there will be some more frequently asked questions that apply to everybody as well. Things like "Is Scotland really the name of a person?"

Yup. I see these questions asked ALL THE TIME. This is a great resource to keep on file and pass on to newbies

Thanks man. Hopefully it will grow over time as well and be a constant source of help. It might save the people in live chat a bit of time with explanations too!
