I've noticed here of late some of my notifications I should've been receiving from WA have gone to spam folder. Not Google but in my Yahoo Account.

I think it a good idea to check once per week before deleting your spam folder content, to see if there is anything there that you are not getting.

It is just a good idea now days to periodically check SPAM.
