What a LONG TERM Business Looks Like Online

There is an old Chinese proverb, and one that has always remained very close to me in my journey online, as well as when helping others build successful businesses online.

"To know the road ahead, ask those coming back."

In other words, if you want to know what success looks like and what the journey is like, then ask someone who has been there. I have been at this full time since 2002 and I think that I can offer you an incredible amount of insight into what the journey to success will like look.

But it is not just me, you have an incredible community of help and literally 100,000's of folks that "know the road ahead". We are truly a pay it forward community, and one where we all have each others best interests at heart.

I want to offer you some powerful insight here INTO the journey before we wrap things up in Phase 1 of Bootcamp here. I want to break the journey down into typical timeframes, based on consistent effort and work for you. When can YOU expect to achieve certain goals and success?

Here is how your journey could look, a realistic journey.

MONTH 1: Accomplishments

  • Website Set Up
  • SEO Set-up
  • Initial Framework of Content
  • Indexed in Google, Bing, Yahoo
  • You have 5-10 posts on your website
  • Earning Potential: A few sales, just getting your business foundation started

MONTH 3: Accomplishments

  • Content Starting to Get Ranked

  • Traffic is Cumulatively Starting to Grow
  • Search Engines are starting to give your site "authority"
  • You have 30-60 posts on your website
  • Earning Potential: $0-$500 per month

**Note: It took me 3 months to make my first sale online. Here I am 15 years later full time online, if I quit in the first month I would have never gotten to experience of lifelong and very fruitful business online. There is something to be said about being patient and not expecting "instant" success in business.

MONTH 6: Accomplishments

  • Traffic is starting to flow, ideally 100 uniques per day
  • Sales start to increase with consistency, several per week
  • You are truly starting to gain some expertise and brand
  • Bing/Yahoo start indexing your site at a higher rate
  • Engagement on your site starts to increase
  • You have 60-100 posts on your site
  • Earning Potential: $500-$3,000 per month

ONE YEAR:

  • Traffic is really starting ramp up. You can expect 500+ uniques per day
  • Google is granting your site with some serious authority
  • Companies and other blogger start to reach out and connect with you
  • Your are making WA sales and other affiliate sales daily
  • The Vegas Super Affiliate Conference is in your sites
  • You have 100-150 posts on your website
  • Earning Potential: $3,000-$10,000 per month

TWO YEARS:

  • Your business is truly starting to thrive
  • You are definitely a noticeable force in the search engine world. Google ranks your new content with 24 hours of it being posted.
  • You are earning a full time income online
  • Vegas is yours, you have most definitely made it
  • You have 200-300 posts on your site
  • Earning Potential: $10,000-$20,000 per moth

5 YEARS:

  • Your are a brand/authority in the industry
  • You have a full time+ business online, likely 6 figures plus annually
  • Google, Bing & Yahoo love you
  • You are taking earnings and spending it to drive your business through paid channels
  • You likely have made several hires, including writers, design help, and a virtual assistant
  • You made Vegas in the first 1-2 months of the year (with your sites on the 3,000 sales)
  • You are in a position to double your business annually
  • Earning Potential: $10,000-$50,000 per month

But remember, you are building a business here. You get OUT of your business what you put INTO it. Ask any successful person what the fundamental reason why they are successful and others are not and they will usually say one of two things. Hard Work or Focus.

This is the first time that I've actually seen any online business leader lay out a realistic road map for what can be accomplished in this endeavor.

Those last few paragraphs can help us all set benchmarks and measure our progress as long as we keep some level of commitment to achieving our goals.

Success to all!

I just went through the Lesson 8 training on keywords, and when I searched on Jaaxy, some of the results I got confused me. For example, "work at home" came up with an Avg of 331922 and QSR 100 and "work at home jobs" came up with an Avg of 311740 and QSR 100. How can these keywords which are so popular and used on so many sites have such a low QSR?

Don't worry about keyword research when choosing your niche, it is the keywords that you target with your content on your website that you perform keyword research on.

Choose any niche that you are passionate about. There are 4 BILLION people online, they are all going to be lucrative.

I want to target all kind of people in all walks of life. Women, men, who are in all kinds of environment. People who're not making much money on their jobs. People who are making money on their job, but want different walk of life. I like to know how to target those audiences.

I would really narrow it down. You can head in the "dissatisfied" or people that hate their jobs. There certainly is enough of those out there and you could carve out a very lucrative business in that space.

I finally got to publish my review on my website. I hope someone will take a few moments to check it out. I would love some feedback.

https://affiliatexplorer.com/wish-com-a-review-the-attractive-not-so-attractive-downright-annoying/

I didn't do a Wealthy Affiliate review per se, but a review of an online shopping site that I had some experience with. However I did include links to Affiliate marketing & WA in particular.

I want to change the title of my home page from "Blog" to something else, but haven't figured it out yet. Plus I hope to change my site theme later.

Thanks and continuing success to all . . .

The reality is everyone likes the idea of working from home. So you audience is going to be wide. I have a few articles here and there specific to an audience with disabilities. But I wouldn't build a whole site around it. Working at home is so appealing that you will capture various people including the ones you mentioned. Because chances are they will be searching work at home opportunities and doing research like reading reviews. So you're best bet is to focus on writing reviews because that's what led you here to WA by reading one of my work at home reviews. And that's what most of the work at home audience does. They happen upon one company claiming to have work at home and then the person will refine their search by doing a search for a review of that company. So reviews covers everyone. Again just think about yourself.

You're welcome Joan. And by the way you're not required to do the affiliate bootcamp. That's really an option for people that want to work in the work at home niche. But you can pick your own niche and I discuss how to do that in my cheat sheet you read. So keep that in mind as well.

Thanks, Eddy! I'm thinking I'd like to start off by focusing on the work at home niche. Down the road, I'd like to also give the thriller novels niche a try. I'm really interested in both, but it seems to me that the work at home niche would probably bring in income faster, and that's what I need right now.
Reply
EddySalomon Premium
If you're picking the work at home niche because you think it will make money faster, that's the wrong reason. Any niche you pick will probably take months to a year before you see a dime. So you should stick with a niche you're really passionate about. Because it's easier to keep pushing forward during the rough times when you're working on something you truly care about. Trust me on this.

I have a Genesis theme installed on my website. In the footer there are links. One of them is to login and/or log out of my website. I think this is a security issue for my site. I Googled for possible solutions, and found out that I'd have to install the Genesis Simple Edits plugin in order to edit the footer. The problem is I don't have the html or php knowlegde in order to do this. Would someone be able to help me or should I just go with one of the themes for premium members? Thanks so much.

After using first google and the Jaaxy platform, I find a lot of potential keywords and of all of them i have to select 5 , so far OK. Now where do I post them, and do I have to write contents of this five keywords and where do I post them? Please explain
Reply
Kyle Premium
Keywords are the premise of all of your content. Ideally you will be finding keywords with a lower competition (also known as QSR) because it means that you are going to be competition with less websites in Google when you go to create your content.

You want your keyword to meet the following criteria:

(1) Must be lower than 100 QSR initially, as you get more authority in search engines you can tackle more competitive search terms.
(2) Must get some traffic, I ideally aim for over 50 searches per month
(3) Must make grammatical sense

I recently created training on how to come up with great keywords here and this is a strategy I have always used to build out my website Arturo ... Once you have your keyword, you are going to create a page or a post on your website targeting that keyword. It should be within the following places in your content:

(1) Somewhere in the page/post title
(2) Somewhere within the first paragraph

And then write your content naturally and make sure it is engaging. People search "keywords" when they are looking for something so as you start getting ranked under these keywords, you are going to start to see traffic.

Once you have traffic...you have a ton of opportunity to generate revenue.

Hope this helps you out Arturo!

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick question: Before this lesson I had to do keyword research and get 5 keywords. How does this tie in with the WA review I am going to write and to rank for the article - should I incorporate my researched keywords in my review? Is the title to be researched too or just taken from popular search terms on products?

It doesn't say that I should incorporate my researched keywords but then I am a bit confused for which keywords I am supposed to rank - Is it all about the title then?

Thank you in advance.

This question is for Kyle, Carson, and everyone else who has some experience here. I'm obviously just getting started and I want to earn as much as I possibly can this first year. I've seen testimonials of people starting to earn after just a few months. However, if someone is going at it hard, as in at least 40 hours per week, what would you say is a realistic expectation for referrals and earning the first year? 300 referrals the first year would be incredible, but is it realistic? Right now I'm thinking I'd love to make $15,000 from the WA affiliate program. If I referred 150 Premium members by the end of the year with an average of $100 per referral, that would give me my $15,000. However, Kyle said in the video that the average tends to be a little higher than $100 per referral. So, I'm going to be hitting this hard and going for $15,000 from 150 referrals. Has anyone ever gotten 300 referrals their first year? Thanks! I'd love to make Vegas in January/February of 2020. I just want to make sure it's actually realistic. What do you think, Kyle and Carson? What does everyone else think? Thank you!
Reply
Kyle Premium
Yeah, it is definitely higher than $100, moving closer to $150 per sale and as you start making sales within consistency, you are going to see a significant monthly payout of commissions (and they recur).

150 is possible, 1500 is possible. Just remember, there are 4 BILLION people out there that can benefit from the platform here at WA, it is just a matter of finding them.
Reply
BenjisDad Premium
FreeMan, it is totally possible, but it will take hard work on your part. In fact, $15,000 a month is possible with the affiliate program. that will be tough in one year, but after you get a ouple years down the line, it is totally in the realm of possibility.

Yes, thanks Chris. I was thinking $15,000 total by the end of this year. If I can get 150 Premium signups and they average closer to $150 as Kyle states above that would give me $22,500. I think it's an aggressive goal, but I'm willing to put in the work!

Do a back track. 150 referals, 12% conversion rate is 1250 sign ups a year, average 3,5 a day. That is fully realistic. Go for it!!

After watching the video and then the find 5 keywords I admit I was a little daunted. So I watched the video again and then started to play with Jaaxy. 36 keywords later I am impressed. With Jaaxy, not me. lol The amount of options for keywords I think has enabled me to be reasonably specific on the market I'm hoping to work with.

My chosen niche for this campaign is making money online for people with a disability and seniors or retirees looking for an opportunity.
As I have a physical disability and approaching 65 yrs of age, I can relate and learning to connect with both of these groups.

Any suggestions on how to maximise this campaign will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Yeah, it is amazing. Once you understand the research process and you have access to the right tools (like Jaaxy), you can literally uncover as many low competition keywords you need to keep you busy for a lifetime. :)

I do like your niche, but I would narrow it down to disability, seniors or retirees. Sure there will be some crossover, but in terms of branding I would recommend you narrow it down to just one.

Hi, after going through this training, I have come up with the following niche direction. A nay or yay would be greatly appreciated.

My chosen audience is 'passive income seekers' and that could be anyone looking for a passive income, stay at home moms like me included.

I then did a Keyword search using Jaaxy for "passive income seekers" and of the many keywords found in the search, I chose the keywords "online passive income" which had - Searches 160, Traffic 28, QSR 132.

Finally, I went to google and searched for "How to make online passive income" (that is putting my keywords in question form) and I got about 25 results.

This looks to me like most of the criteria for choosing my niche direction are met.

I am sharing how I used the training to find my niche direction with the aim of helping other as I progress.

Hi all. I just watched the first video about the affiliate program and I am still a little confused about the commission structure.

1 - Do I only get paid for referals if I am a premium member myself?

2 - As I understood, if someone I referred does not switch to premium, I only get 1 dollar if he/she finishes setting up the account, is that correct?

3 - If someone switches to premium for, lets say, a year membership. I get commission for this year. What about next year? Do I still get commission even if that person decides NOT to renew his/her premium? Or I only get commission if a premium is renewed?

Thank you all and have a nice day.
Reply
RoseAnn1234 Premium
Hi, as a starter member you will only get a commission if your referral goes premium
As a premium member, you get $1 for each starter that goes through and sets up a profile etc. Plus you get paid at a higher rate, than starter, when your referral goes premium.
There are different levels of commission depending on whether the referral pays monthly, six monthly or annually. Every time your referral makes a payment (after a slight withholding period in case of chargebacks), you will get paid.
Wealthy Affiliate will pay you commissions for as long as your referral remains a premium member. This is one of the best affiliate programs around. There is no time cookie.
Once you become a premium member, the amounts increase and you will get paid as long as your referral remains a premium member AND you do. You can no longer return to starter member once you have accessed the balance of the training.

Hope this makes it clearer for you.

i am a home based travel agent who specialize in disney vacation but i also love the make money online niche, which direction you think is best? can i build a website that will help me make more money as travel agent or should i go with make money online?
Reply
DeRaj Premium
It's better to choose "travel agent specialize for Disney vacation" as there is less competition and that is specific niche than "make money online" niche. However, it also depends upon in which niche you have more idea. Let me make you clear.

Niche means the subject of your interest, in which you have some knowledge so that you can write several contents related to that niche. Actually, every niche is profitable, what matters is a number of contents you can write in that niche. So, instead of thinking which niche is profitable, think in which niche you can write many contents by targeting several different keywords, because more contents you can write, you gonna have more traffic to your website and then more conversions, sales or even a profit without selling anything or recruiting anyone, just from advertisements within your website by applying with services like Google Adsense. If you don't know what Google Adsense means, then you can click this link:- https://www.newsonlineincome.com/how-to-make-money-from-google-adsense/

So, any niche is a profitable niche for you if you have some ideas on that niche so that you can write several contents on that topic on your own as well as by doing research on Google. So, sure you can pick any niche and keep on making website exactly as guided by Wealthy Affiliate lessons by doing proper keywords research for each content.

So, keep on taking Wealthy Affiliate lessons by clicking “Training“ on the left-hand side menu of Wealthy Affiliate and after that by clicking “Online Entrepreneur Certification”. At the end of those lessons, there are some tasks which you need to complete. Move step by step from lesson 1 without skipping any lessons or tasks. I repeat, without skipping any lessons or tasks. After reading the Target Audiences Tutorial I chose two are three that looked interesting. I did some basic keyword research on them and came up with "New Career After 50" as an interesting audience with some big monthly search numbers and low QSR for various aspects of that concept. I think I'm going to tackle that group. Being retired for some time now (If you don't count my continuing, occasional work as a RE broker), I had the experience of being out of work at that age (which is why I went into real estate) and know first hand how difficult it is to find a new job.

Now the question is what to call my website. I've never been good at coming up names. Newcareeraffiliates.com just occurred to me. Anyone care to chime in with an opinion before I take the plunge?

I am looking to help beginner affiliate marketers, sort of give them guidance on how to start. I just don't know what name to give it. In previous training, I created a website and called it become an affiliate today. I just don't really like the name. I am thinking of targeting college students, since I am a college student myself. Any tips on names or what I can talk about on my second website?

my goals are to aspire to inspire before i expire. lol for real though I want to bring an unjust system to light from personal experiences to empowering our youth .

This was my post today and these are my goals:

I am lost at how to go about my niche
Last Update: December 22, 2018

I have been doing my training sessions and moving forward with my website but the posts have been only blogs( reading material).

With that being said my niche is bringing facts to my community about the corrupt justice system and programming(which we lack) for at risk teens.

I don't know what more to do aside from telling the truth(blogging). Ultimately I want to use page to generate money but i don't know how to do it with this particular niche i am at a standstill. What should I do??

I wanted to learn how to build my own website so that i can get locals informative of the unjust in our system and the no funding for programs needed as well as being able to make a side income to.

Can someone please give me some advice and point me in the right direction??

Hi Virginia,

As far as building out your site, you just need to be doing keyword research and creating good content based on those keywords. As per how the training is showing you.

As far as what to promote, this is a bit of a tough one. What I would think about is what do the people in your niche, that they would be willing to spend money on? Attorneys, courses, products (digital and physical), try to think about this.

If you can't come up with anything, then you can always run ads like Google Adsense to monetise your site. Not the most profitable way but if you have enough traffic this can still be profitable.

I'm passionate about education... I'm passionate about many things... but as a former public school teacher the one thing I know about is children.
My family and I adopted 4 children out of foster care. My grown daughter adopted 2 children from foster care. I'm very passionate about the state that our country is in whereas so many children are being left parent-less because of drugs, economics, death etc.
Can you offer direction?

Sure, you could head in that direction with your niche. You likely want to head through the OEC training here versus bootcamp for this niche.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Im a little stuck when it comes to niche.

niche idea 1
personally i have a passion for change. being involved in gangs for over 20 years ultimately being sentenced to a 25 years to life in prison (my case was overturned on appeal). It's been over 10 years. i have changed my life 3000 80%. as a result of practicing reiki, ho oponono, law of attraction, meditation and other modalities i have transformed my life. having these spiritual/mental tools i believe that sharing these methods and information is a part of me
i'm a proud father now, have owned multiple small business with success and am a reiki master.

second niche idea
my first successful business was as a personal trainer and gym owner. i loved being a positive influence while helping my clients transform there life and reach there fitness goal. so i have a passion for fitness and health

third niche idea
affiliate marketing, although i just started and haven't made a dime i have fallen in love with the concept and idea of reaching 1000's of people online and helping them attain what they want, need and love while being able to support my family..

so im not sure which to choose. i also thought about maybe combining them, -- fitness, self help/spirituality and making money online.

thoughts please

and thank you in advance

Wow, awesome job and super amazing. It's wonderful to hear stories like these because they are such an encouragement.

I, too, have had the problem of which niche to choose as have many people I would think. I am focusing on the aspect of affiliate marketing with those that don't have work or have been out of work for awhile because it gives me the opportunity to help with the healing process that can happen due to being out of work.

I look forward to hearing of your success here on WA also.

I relate to your struggles of creating the perfect niche. All of your topic/ideas are great. If there were a way to break the positive attitude down from all your skills and history, I think that would be a great niche. Then you could build your website using all your talents in some manner steering them toward ways to become a positive influence.

Hello and Welcome to WA!!! First and foremost its good to meet another like myself here in this community.

Funny thing, I was just about to go through and read a few profiles in search of like minded folks and here your post is the first one I see having not even started to browse yet.

I just made the same post as this one here you made, for real for real. Keeping it all the way real, I don't know how to even respond to this because, I myself, am clueless as to how to go about it as well.

I must say that its a trip that with all the different comments I have been getting on my post that someone else had my exact niche in mind and was also stuck on how to present it.

With hopes to share some wisdom and knowledge, as well as want to make a difference by helping others succeed, the whole time making some paper to be able to care for self and family. isn't it ironic?

This community is amazing, as well as owners and staff. They are on point and respond to all request quick. There are so many different types of peeps here who will actually help you in any way they can. This is the best place to be trying to do what you are.

Trust me when I say no other program is like this. Where else do u have access to thousands of people who have made a living off of this making anywhere between 6 and 7 figures monthly who will actually help you to get like them?? No where know of, until here.

Real talk, no BS either. You definitely stumbled upon a amazing thing.

Hey Bret,

After updating my site twice (that's over 440 posts) I'd say if you're serious about this, get your brand down. Meaning get your blogging style down in terms of your blog post style, Homepage, elements like opt-in banners you want to use to drive people to main product reviews (you can do that in Thrive), and things like that. These things take a bit of time and so I'd say keep your site looking nice and clean for now.

The focus is on the content. That is producing the best content you can and targeting all of it to your specific niche. Your blogging style may change, but you know the gist of how to style content.

So your main focus is content, but as you're doing this you want to be thinking of developing a FREE give away that you can use to bribe people into your email marketing system.

With thrive, you can create Post Templates for reviews or whatever. So that improves the efficiency of your writing and establishes your style/brand.

You can also create Banners as Symbols that you can add to ever post to drive someone to your main Review/Optin/Landing/Sales Pages. What's great about that is that as your banners change over time and need to be updated, you don't have to go through 400 posts to do it. It's just a banner update and the whole site is updated.

So you've got a Thrive theme, when you're ready for email marketing/advancing your site, that's an easy upgrade to their membership to get all the Bells & Whistles.

Hope that helps. OH, we just did a Thrive Membership Review if you want to check it out... https://learntogrowwealthonline.com/thrive-themes-membership-review/

I'm freaking in love with this product. It's amazing what you can do with it...

So I have "Rich Life Reviews" as my brand now, which was originally meant to be the larger niche of "Make Money Online" and "Personal Development" (which is what I personally like - but have struggled with a lot in the past).

I'm finding that I want to connect with people inclined to start into MLM, Network Marketing, and High Ticket programs - or buy all these tools recommended to them (like I was...) but instead show them that they would make the most of those programs with ACTUAL online marketing experience/training (traffic) like they would learn at Wealthy Affiliate.

I want to help people who have gone down the "MLM, Network Marketing, and High Ticket program, etc" routes to simply LEARN the skill of marketing themselves instead of relying on a 'product/recruiting' company to teach them marketing and how to do online business.

Does that sound like a good direction?

However, I know how much I have been struggling as a single mom and trying to have an online business to help me raise my daughter, and feel that affiliate marketing is very good for stay home moms, but because I don`t know how to actually write about it and sounding passionate about it makes me a little worried.
Anyway, I named my site Money Mine Online, as in becoming an affiliate marketer is a way to be mining money online...I thought it sounds tempting. What do you all think?

You have a broad list of topics above. Each one, really, could be a niche. I suggest you narrow down to start - maybe with kitchen equipment as it would be fairly easy to monetize. Hi Steve,
Target audience does not meant small group of people.
Example: if your audience are people who are looking to make money online, there are specific people you can be targeting:
- retirees who are looking to earn extra income
- college student who want to pay their study loan
- single moms / dads
- people who are 9-5 job and not earning enough
Hope you get the idea.

I do believe you can still open multiple sites that are linked or independent depending on what your goal and objective is. For example I am in the health care field. My niche is sickle cell anemia, cancer and workplace wellness. I hope to publish information for different people related to the above topics. And since I can have upto 50 sites through WA as a premium member I will try to utilize this chance. This is great.

Had to call Apple support for support. They took care of it by doing a backup and could not find any malware in the system. It only happened because I did not create through site content. Wealthy Affiliate is really the best way to go. A lesson learned and appreciated.

I would like to target those individuals who for whatever reason cannot have a regular full-time job. I think I would like my main focus to be people with chronic illnesses or disabilities that mean they can't get a regular income however it would also include stay-at home parents or those who have retired.

Excellent areas to hit. I myself have Bipolar, and bad social anxiety since my nervous breakdown plus bone spurs in my back and neck that are inoperable and cause severe nerve pinching when they cause flare-ups in the tissues and such around them. The big selling point for me was that it was a business I could not only do but with my time to study I could do well at. That's why I returned to it after my breakdown instead of to the workforce that helped get me there.

I would like to help people find a source of additional income part-time or full-time income online or also shared with them my own experience working full time and a part-time job out in the field and now working toward an online business with WA.

I'd like to reach to a variety of groups that may be interested in building their online business.

I'll choose a wider branding such as "getting rich" or "make money online".
I guess if you are comfortable with a broader brand, and if you can provide content for it, it's nice to have a wide branding.

What is your option: a broad or narrow brand (like affiliate marketing)?

Best regards,

Hello Kyle & everyone else . . .

My 1st website will be my WA affiliate site. Is it okay in my About Me page to mention my affiliation with Wealthy Affiliate?

As a premium member, do I get an email address with my domain? If not, and I create and add a gmail address, can I change that address later when I get a domain linked email address?

Thanks . . .

I will promote WA to people like me that hate to work 7-16 every day, without a degree, but still capable and knowledgeable enough to make it here. I will do my site in Swedish at first I think but I don't know yet for sure. Its hard to research in other languages because the services aren't as great as jaaxy. If someone knows how to use Jaaxy with other languages, please let me know.

Since you can write in English too, why don't you create a multi language site and reach more people instead of limiting your site to those who know Swedish.
As far as I know, Jaaxy is in English only.

In any niche, you always room to have your fair share of the market. Of course there are competitive niche but there are always sub niches within that niche that you can enter and be different from others. When you are talking about affiliate marketing + free traffic, you have to be ready to spend a lot of time initially to build up your site. Even you create your site in Swedish only. With a bit investment, there are plugin that can translate your Swedish site to English almost automatically. Definitely this is possible - just don't limit your thinking.

All the best.

I'm currently working a full time day job that I'm not really dissatisfied with, however, I would like to make money on the side own my own terms. I'm leaning towards other people in my same situation as my target audience.

I would be targeting people who currently have full time employment, but want to make side money online from home. Any insight or potential warnings about this niche?
Reply

I can relate, I used to be in a similar situation. So many people know exactly where you're coming from and your story would definitely resonate with them.

As for the niche showing people a way out of their day jobs for an online experience. It's a great one but very competitive. But don't let that stop you mate, there are a million and one ways to push your message home.

In order to achieve success you have to be resilient in your desired space, so go for it.

I'd recommend talking to people in your immediate circle about your online venture, friends etc, about what you're set out to achieve, this can even lead to potential clients.

Good luck mate.

As someone who is disabled my target audience will be others who are also facing physical and mental challenges, as well as their caregivers. Very few families with a disabled member have sufficient income so I believe this will be a good audience.

However, a few months ago I wrote a blog post about earning income online and did not get any comments. I question if this was just the fact I have a small readership or if I have selected the wrong audience--at least to begin with. Or, if it was my approach to the subject--something I hope to remedy through this course.

I appreciate any insights fellow WA members have.

The "earning money online" niche is highly competitive, and I'm sure you had a killer post.

However it does sound like your disabled target audience would be more engaged with your content as they can resonate to you.

I haven't started promoting WA yet as I'm in the process of building out my site for that specifically. But I can give you a few ideas for keywords that I have been using to promote other Affiliate Products/Programmes.

Like you said, good keywords for promoting WA have been used probably millions of times.

What I tend to do in my campaigns is target the same audience but with slightly different worded keywords such as.

-Passive income ideas for 2018
-Part time online jobs/hustles that can earn you $$$ per month.
-Online jobs to substitute your income

Just to name a few, these are all variations of the same thing. Affiliate marketing/making money online etc.

Hope this gets your creative juices flowing.

This is great training!

I created a site and a niche that im 100% focused on. Now reading this, I'm thinking about promoting WA on my site.

My question is, could you combine an entirely different niche (electronics) website already set up and promote WA?

Or

Would it just be wise to build an entirely new site from the ground up and promote WA through there?

Thanks
Jose
Reply
Kyle Premium
You never want to combine different niches into ONE website, and you should avoid trying to manage a bunch of different websites when starting out.

Focus on just ONE website and create success with that before diversifying and creating multiple niche websites.

It only takes ONE website in one niche to be very successful online. I usually find that folks that try to do too much at once (focus on several niche websites) end up in a state of mediocrity because it can be overwhelming and you don't really ever become the expert in just one niche.

It is the experts (specialists) that create long term, successful businesses in any niche.

Hi Rich,
Regardless of where you purchase a domain name, you will always be able to "point" that domain to your hosting. This will always be the case, no matter where either was purchased.

If you upgrade, you will keep the same account and a new world of training and community access will be available.

We actually have a "Move" feature that you will see right within the SiteManager.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites

You can move any domain to any domain hosted here at WA. For example, if you wanted to move your Siterubix website to a domain that you have purchased, then it is a very simple process.

The "Move" feature also handles for all proper redirects and SEO, it will transfer your site in its entirety and it is as simple as a few clicks. See attached screenshot for what I am referring to here.

And as mentioned, the members area is the same, but you have access to absolutely everything, with more technology, training, support, features, and general access.

Without getting into the details and pinpoint accuracy, just remember that if you are a premium member and you are able to refer or encourage people to become premium members through your WA link, you get approximately a commission of 50% of what they pay. Never mind about the other scaled down commissions that will just blur your understanding. You surely are after the big buck anyway so just focus on the 50% commission to motivate you.

Yet I have one question! Do you have to build a website first in order to become a promoter of Wealthy Affiliate ?
Reply
CristianoB Premium
No not at all, with the way that affiliate links work, you only need the link itself to get up and going. However you distribute it is truly up to you, whether thats through email marketing, social media or some other means. The member need only discover WA by clicking your link for you to get the credit. Personally I HIGHLY reccommend building an authoratative website and using that to push your link "reach" but if you already have a following somewhere or sway in a relative community then by all means, website isnt the only way to go.
Reply
kurnazer Premium
If you want to promote WA, I believe you just need to send visitors to WA through your affiliate link, so no website is needed. But without a website/blog you are limiting yourself on how you can promote WA. More than that your campaign will not very effective because if you send visitors to WA and it is their first time most likely they will not sign up at WA. So having a website is not an absolute must but it is also very important.

Yes, you can build any type of website you like here. By hard to leave, what specifically do you mean. People will leave your website if your content is not interesting, and your content is not relevant.

So those should be focal points of your website. I recommend that you go through the bootcamp training and take action on what you learn there, you are going to be building a solid foundation for your business right from the ground up.

Themes will not always look the same when you preview them (before you install them) versus when you actually start using them as there are features, images, etc. that can change the look of your website.

Not to worry at all here though, that is quite normal and as you build out your website, the design and look will evolve as you create content.

With 30 years in the D2D universe I was able to notice the baby boomer demographic as a strong category to dive into. I think this category offers a tremendous opportunity with the right messaging, services and product line that gravitates to the 50-70 age group. I can’t help to notice that regardless of many of them living on a fix retirement income, a great number of his group is always seeking alternatives ways of a secondary income. So, I’m thinking in refining and simplifying the need of this niche, since many of them remain open to income opportunities. Some good feedback, and ideas are greatly welcomed.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Don't over think the demographics, rather choose your brand.

When you choose a domain, you are going to want to choose something that is "brandable" versus something that has keywords within it. The reason this is the case is because as you build out your website, you can target as many keywords as you like within the content (that is how you will rank).

I have created a discussion here outlining the process and what to look for when choosing a domain name: This should help you out here and if you ever want to run any domains by me, simply let me know and I will give you some feedback.

I say all that because I have a 23-year-old that’s taken me a long time to convince and cultivate him to understand that if he knew what I know now, he would be jumping all over the opportunity of any online business and social media world. The idea would be to get a small group of them going, and I guess the rest would just follow along the way, and not to mention, the effortlessness this age group has to understand today's digital universe, they are probably way ahead of any other age group in today's world. I think you are on to something promising my friend…..

Hi everyone, i would like to create a website comparing way to make money online. Over the last couple year i have been trying different thing trying to achieve this goal without real success (have spent more than i earn so far lol ). The goal of this website would be get referral to W.A. and maybe to other website. My question is, are bootcamp and entrepreneur both show the same skill, that is to create a website. Or are they completely different ? If i do the bootcamp first, will it be easier to do the entrepreneur after ? I guess my real question is really, is there a preferred order to do the training, (for example, Bootcamp first and then do the entrepreneur or vice versa) ? Let me know what are you though. Thank and sorry for this long question :)

If you want to promote WA and work within the "make money niche" (which it sounds like), go through the Affiliate Bootcamp training. If you want to build a business within another niche, head through the Get Started Here training.

Focus on just one though. You are going to be much more successful if you focus on one business/website versus trying to do too many things at once. You can always diversify down the road.

Hope this helps you out here Alex!

Hi, I have an idea of who I want to target, I'm Latina I speak in Spanish and there are so many people who want to build their online business but they have the language to become a problem. I want to help them to create a successful business online even if they don't speak any English. I don't know if it's correct, I'll like some comments from you guys, do you think is a great idea for making a website in Spanish with that purpose?:)

Just do know that WA is English only, so anyone that you refer to WA needs to know this and must be able to speak English. You can create your sites in whatever language, but all the help, training, dialogue, tools, live classes, etc are in English here at WA.

if you are going to refer to WA they need to understand english, if you are going to refer to other programs or business oportunites that are in spanish is ok.

Hello,
I have an idea who I want to target. People who want to start a business but don't have a ton of money to get started. I always thought of Affiliate Marketing as a business you can start from scratch. My branding is something I am having a hard time nailing down. Any suggestions?

WOW! Historic Evening! I just spent an awesome time in my Back Office. What an experience that was - I feel young again! I installed Gutenberg. It is going to make my writing so much more exciting, inviting and captivating. I am truly enjoying learning all this "new knowledge.'

Thank You Both, Kyle and Carson!

Sincerely,

Hi Kyle,

I just finished the the training and am a bit confused. Must my review be about wealthy Affiliate? because the task said that i should write a review about wealthy affiliate whereas in your teaching you said that my review must not necessarily look like the one you used.

YumaBloggers Premium
NO. Wealthy Affiliate is the example here because you took the affiliate Bootcamp route but the training can be applied to any program at any time or for that matter any niche or product. My Advice is expanding on your knowledge and do the Entrepreneur Certification Course next as it shows you more on building out a niche and finding products to suit your readers.

So, according to Kyles' list... I've decided my niche to be
"home business/ baby boomers/ baby boomers about to retire"

So to combine this all together I have as a niche:
"Home business for baby boomers about to retire"

And I will promote this with my content value, helping people in this niche to become aware of "WA" avenues to earn online.

Kyle, thanks for the list, I saw so many niches to combine and use, it was a toss up. As I started to do the

"Home business for millenials with Undesirable Jobs"
Maybe, that will be my next niche site, so much to choose fm

Now to get over to the keyword tool, because I finally finished my review on a fragrance company. Hope I'm trailing the right tracks, lol

Thankful for that list.

Absolutely a direction you can head, I think the combination works! I like it. :)

Thank you getting your review well, it's just writing it and getting it out there and then we can give you feedback.

You are not going to be perfect at creating reviews or creating content the first run at it, as you start doing, you gain more and more experiencing you become more and more proficient in it.

My site is "I See You!". My brand is video baby monitors. My target is parents of infant childern. My theme is "create and hand down a video memory of the moments that fly by far too quickly." I plan to build a relationship and a group of parents who hand down the records of their infants life to their offspring. From generation to generation.

Yes, if you are heading in that direction you will want to go through the OEC training. That is certainly a niche though.

I've come to grief trying to create Wordpress sites before and at first glance this appears to be no different, but that is because I don't know where it is going or what the planned stages are.

The first issue is the theme, not knowing which one or ones are most suitable for promoting WA, which is what I'm expecting this will teach me. I would expect to create a landing page with some sort of offer followed by an email capture page then a thank you page which links to my website where I can discuss the benefits of WA.

So once I had followed the instructions and created a site (after much time spent trying to select a suitable theme), I thought I had to immediately add relevant content by amending the existing posts and trying to create suitable landing page content only to be told in the next video to delete the posts and that I woiuld be continually adding content to the website, not something I would expect to do for a landing page.

So can someone please give me an idea of the plan, so in future I'm not trying to jump ahead and waste time trying to do things that are going to be explained later.

Don't overthink the process. Choose a theme that is simple, ideally with a white background and black text (as this is the most readable).

I tend to avoid themes with too many bells and whistles as the focus of your website will be your content and your content will make your website look visually appealing to your audience.

So choose something simple, yet elegant and if you ever need to change down the road, you can easily do so within Appearance => Themes.

There are over 3,000 to choose from there and you will also be able to upload your own from there.

I have created some training on how to do this that you should check out: You can always shift to a new and more complex theme down the road, but I recommend keeping things simple when starting out. It is your content that will rank, get traffic, and convert. Not the bells and whistles within a theme.

Hi, friends after all these eye opening trainings in Boot-camp affiliate, I have decided to target new graduates who are seeking employments ,either as/ to be, self-employees or formal employees.I would therefore appreciate help in identifying the niche in such a market, even in giving such a niche a name.

What do you want to help people accomplish? Answer that and you will be much closer to your niche.

Hey Kyle, I was on the Keyword research part of the bootcamp, I think I may have found an untapped niche. But I wanted to ask about the quotations around the search phrase as you showed in the picture. You'll see in the picture I attached below that without quotes, it has a hell of a lot more competition. Although the search volume stays the same.

Yes, that is a huge audience. There is a lot of people with criminal records, that are wonderful people, but companies are very much against and have policies against hiring folks with a record.

You can help them out, and building a business online is certainly one way to create an income.

Hello everyone!

We are creating a new website about family..things you can do to spend time with your loved ones.. This is more for kids, but also some topics about parents, including grandparents.. our target audience for this bootcamp training would be more of parents and grandparents who want extra income..is this too broad? do we still need to refine this?

Your reply would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you..

Hai, I am planning to target people who are interested in 'passive income'.
Have a name in mind for my website (passive potential) and plan to make the content a bit broader, ways to utilize the possibilities for a human that they get in their life.

Can you give me an indication of your thoughts about this?

Thanks for the attention!
