Welcome to the Affiliate Bootcamp!

Are you ready to learn a lot, have a bunch of fun, build a full time income and brand, and promote a platform that you can believe in, trust and that can truly help people in a positive way?

If your answer is yes, then you are definitely in the right place and I know you are going to love what we have in store for you in the upcoming lessons.

First things first though, a little run down of the affiliate program at Wealthy Affiliate and how this training will work.

Who Am I & Why Do I Care?

I am Kyle, co-founder of Wealthy Affiliate. I am going to be walking you through the process of building a business online, through the promotion of WA and likely other programs. I have been actively working with close to 1,000,000 affiliates since 2005 and I have helped MANY create full time, 6-7 figure businesses online.

That is my absolute focus with you. Success.

I want to help you build a full time business and an established brand online. I also want to personally be hanging out with you every year at our fully paid for, Annual Super Affiliate Conference in Las Vegas (more on that later).

Wealthy Affiliate is mine and Carson's passion (me on left with family, Carson on right). We live and breathe Wealthy Affiliate and as time goes on, the platform here truly evolves and gets better with every day that passes. We built WA based on helping people succeed, and we don't have any plans to divert from our core principles.

If you are committed to this training, I am committed to you! That I can assure you of.

So if you are ready to do BIG things online, I am ready to help you get there. :)

The WA Affiliate Program, It's Awesome!

The affiliate program here at Wealthy Affiliate is one of the most technologically advanced, sophisticated, and progressive platforms in the world. We were born and raised in this industry as “affiliates” and we are still affiliates to this day. It's in our genetic code!

Because of this and being involved in 100’s of different affiliate programs over the years, we have a very good grasp as to what affiliates want and we are constantly working to over deliver.

There are many different aspects to the WA Affiliate Program that you can leverage to maximize your reach, revenue and overall conversions and I am going to give you a brief overview of these now. Of course as we move through the Bootcamp training, I am going to be getting more and more advanced with this training.

A few important menus I want you to understand. The first is the "$" icon in the header, if you click this you will be able to access the full affiliate resource menu (as shown below).

This menu includes SEVEN items, I am going to quickly run you through all of them and then provide you with a video walking you through the ALL aspects of the affiliate program in its entirety.

  • Program Details. This is where you can go to get full details about the Affiliate Program, the commission structures, your main affiliate link, your incentive countdown, etc.
  • My Stats. This is where you can go to get detailed information about stats and all commissions/transactions.
  • Tasks. These are all the interaction and communication (questions) that are taking place within WA in respect to your referrals. You will want to complete these as they come in, interacting with your referrals leads to much higher conversions.
  • My Referrals. This will show you all your referrals that have joined through your affiliate link, both Starter and Premium.
  • Links & Tracking. This is where you can to get all of your affiliate links, to create your own tracking links, and to add tracking for services like Google Adwords, BingAds.com and Facebook.com.
  • Messages. These are automated, follow-up messages that you can create for your referrals!
  • Banners. Self explanatory here, these are banners that you can use on social media, on your website, or anywhere you like that you can add a banner promoting WA.

Within the side bar, you will see the Training buttonwithin the menu. Then upon clicking that, it will open the training area and you will see the Affiliate Bootcamp training area as the second item down.

If you click this menu, it will pop open all of the phases of Bootcamp. Each Phase has 10 lessons and as you move through this training and check off the tasks, you are going to notice that the Affiliate Bootcamp button text will update to reflect which lesson you are currently on.

In other words, it is a "smart" button and will always take you back to your last completed task within the training.

Your Potential & Commission Structure.

The affiliate program at Wealthy Affiliate is not just advanced from a technology standpoint, but you are also getting one of the most appealing RECURRING commission structures in all of the affiliate marketing space.

Invites: They Join WA for Free

STARTER Member Commissions:

Initial $19 offer, Commission = $4
$49/mth, Commission = $11.25 recurring
$359/year, Commission = $87.50 recurring

If you are a Premium Member here at Wealthy Affiliate, you get double the commissions as an affiliate and you also get to take part in our $1 credit program, which allows you to earn from free members you sign-up that set-up their accounts. You also earn money with each domain your referrals buy.

PREMIUM Member Commissions: (100% higher commissions!!!)

Credits: They Set-up their account = $1
Domain Purchases: $1 recurring
Initial $19 offer, Commission = $8
$49/mth, Commission = $23.50 recurring
$359/year, Commission = $175 recurring!

**Note: on average 1:8 upgrade to yearly, depending on the affiliate, and 12% of all free Starter referrals end up going Premium.

When you sign-up someone for free, your goal is to get them to set-up their account. Setting up ones account will lead you to an initial $1 (2 credits x $0.50). These add up when you are a Premium member.

When someone sets up their account, they are granted an initial $19 first month offer. This converts very well and almost everyone decides to stay after the first month because of the value, the quality of the services, the help they get, and the overall positive experience offered here at Wealthy Affiliate.

We offer lifetime commissions and lifetime cookies, which is truly unheard of in the industry. If you refer someone to WA, they are your referral FOREVER.

Unlike many programs in the industry that focus on "taking advantage of customers", our focus has and always will be making our service better. The better our service gets, the more people that stick around, stick around for longer, and the better our conversions get.

That is our PATH to making you more money. Striving to make our service the best in the industry is our goal and this will remain our constant focus. The MONEY you earn as a result of this and the trust you build from the people you refer to Wealthy Affiliate will lead you to a long term and INCREDIBLE business online.

**We pay out on the 1st of every month, and we have not missed a single affiliate payment since our inception 12 years ago. We pay on time and we pay out MILLIONS of DOLLARS per year!

Task 1: Add Your Affiliate Goals!

We have created a discussion where you can add your affiliate goals, not just for the upcoming bootcamp though. I am a long term guy myself. I know what can be accomplished in a year...a year is a like a blink in time and before you know it next year is going to be here.

What if you could make 100 referrals by next year...what about 200...what about 500....a 1000? Be realistic, but be unrealistic. You never reach goals that you thought were unattainable if you never set them.

Add your goals here within the following thread.

==> ADD YOUR GOALS: What are your WA Promotional Goals in 2018?

Also, comment on AT LEAST two other people's goals within the thread. This is a community here at WA and we are all here to help one another succeed.

You can begin your networking now and you are going to build some awesome relationships which will only further your online success. So take a minute and encourage at least two other people with their goals as well.

I want to let you know about something as well. If you can reach 300 unique referrals through the course of this year, we are going to fly you to Vegas for a private conference (read below).

Task 2: Las Vegas, We Want YOU There in 2019!

We like to do things differently at Wealthy Affiliate. Other companies try to convince you to attend their "high ticket" conferences, we want to PAY for you to come to our conference.

Every year we run an ultra exclusive WA Super Affiliate Conference in Las Vegas, all expenses paid. You may have noticed a counter in your Airplane Icon in the header, if you can make 300 referrals in a calendar year, you are going to be personally invited by Carson and myself to hang out in Vegas next year.

Read about the experience from the most recent years conference. It was the most powerful, amazing conference to date and we would love nothing more than to have you there next year!

DISCUSSION: Vegas 2018. It was big. Vegas 2019 Will Be BIGGER!

Task 3: Watch the Affiliate Program Walk through

Here is an introduction video to Wealthy Affiliate. This is going to give you an overview of your stats pages and show you around the set-up of your affiliate account.

DISCUSS VIDEO: WA Affiliate Program - A Comprehensive Walk-through

It is important that you go through this so you fully understand the process.

Task 4: Officially Join the Affiliate Bootcamp

We run promotions throughout the year and update our affiliate program regularly. We want to keep you informed of any timely offers that you can take advantage of. We will also be able to connect with you to offer specialized training, promotional materials, motivation, and new advancements to the Bootcamp course.

You Are Already Officially Part of Affiliate Bootcamp!

This is a necessity if you want to become a top affiliate. I want you to take a second right now and officially join Affiliate Bootcamp by clicking the button above. It is going to help you keep on track, keep you informed, and is going to allow us help you make more money! This is a requirement to continue with this course...and something that is going to help you out as well!

Tasks 0/4 completed
1. Add Your Affiliate Goals in terms of Referrals # to the Discussion

I downloaded the two plugins.
I did as instructed but after downloading the second one,
the EWWW plugin, a message popped up (and is still there)
asking me if I want to allow the image optimizer to track the
plugin usage. It went on to say that if I agreed, they would
credit me with 500 free image credits. -
I have no idea what they are talking about. Perhaps
another member has come across this offer and can
let me know if I should allow it.
Thanks,

I've already registered my domain (or brand name). It's "the Wealthy Sage" and, as an elderly gent, my target audience will include:
- freelance professionals and "baby boomers" approaching retirement age, and
- retired individuals seeking to supplement their retirement income and preserve their lifestyles.

There are also small business owners and entrepreneurs; including helping local businesses, that I'd like to explore.

I wonder whether this combination blends together as a workable set?

I need guidance- I want to target single parents, and low income families. I am part of the low income and I thought it might be neat to kind of do a show and tell so to speak, of my success within WA, as I go along. I know from experience, that seeing someone from my background/lifestyle succeed can be very encouraging and motivational.
Is this doable?

Single Parents That Succeed!

Something of that nature could be your brand, absolutely. You could cater to topics related to money and single parents, starting a business, time management, how to be productive, etc.

So by all means this is a direction that you can head!

Hello,
I am going to try my best to get 300 referrals. I am so serious about Wealthy Affiliate that I am going to pay the yearly amount.
This is money that I have been saving in case of an emergency.
The man that I can't wait to move out from(one of my goals) decided to quit his job. Leaving all the responsibility on me. It's time for me to make as much money as I can.
Kyle, I just wish you can answer my question... Do I need to make another website for Wealthy Affiliate in order to get referrals?

Much Appreciated,
RP

If you want to promote WA and work within the "make money niche", go through the Affiliate Bootcamp training. If you want to build a business within another niche, head through the Get Started Here training.

Focus on just one though. You are going to be much more successful if you focus on one business/website versus trying to do too many things at once. You can always diversify down the road.

Hope this helps you out here Rose!

Hi all would very much love your thoughts on this niche.

As i have worked in the gold mines for almost 10 years, most of us work on a roster of 2 weeks at work and 1 week off, some do 4 weeks on and 1-2 weeks off. This is a massive amount of time to be away from family, and i can assure you that everyone of us wants to find a better way to make an income, so my thoughts were to target Affiliate Marketing but bring that down to focus on people who work away from their family's.

To teach them a better way to earn a good income and leave the mines behind as a distant memory, your thoughts would be most welcomed

Thank you

I need some Help defining and refining my niche. The idea is helping people who want to earn city level income from more rural areas.

Not sure if I should be targeting people who want to get out of the city, but don’t want to reduce their earning potential or people in rural areas who desire a city level income.
Reply

Building a business from rural areas. That could be a direction that you head and you could help people learn about the online world and the opportunity there. Definitely a direction that you could head.

I like the building a business from rural areas idea. I have also thought of targeting people who want to live a homesteading, self-reliant, lifestyle but also want as treat of income.

This is me, in essence. I love the idea of being self-reliant at home Growing my own food and the like, but I also want to have the money to go to Greece in the summer and go to Scotland to play golf.

My values speak to self-reliance, but I don't want to be a hermit in the hills.

Yeah, that sounds like the natural direction you can head. A Resourceful Income. Something of that nature would be a cool brand and give you the flexibility to head in many different directions.

HELP REFINING NICHE PLEASE:
here are my draft thoughts, any suggestions @Kyle?:
I want to help "office workers who want to escape / Someone who wants to quit their job / who wants to find a better way" with options for work from laptop (make money online, affiliate marketing and blogging)
Q1 is this too broad?
Q2 Any suggestions on narrowing this, where there might be less competition?

... hi-- help, please. . . been dilly-dallying for days on end about 'niche' 'target audience' direction.... so much to focus / to choose for a website. .. Q. is it best to have a consistent domain name to match the 'niche' etc. or in other words, the same domain name to the service or product being marketed ?
.... probably over-thinking this step -- as i've learned that a 'brand name' is a big deal .... guess that's why i'm taking time with this...fuzziness has set in... any insightful clarity would be much appreciated at this time . . thanks kindly for listening. . .

Your domain name should reflect the niche, but it doesn't have to include a keyword within it. It can be purely brandable.

MarketingWithKyle.com

That could be my domain, and it would give me the flexibility to go within MANY directions within the make money, internet marketing, affiliate marketing space.

I need to ask a question about something that is bugging me Kyle. So far in the affiliate bootcamp, and the certification lessons...I have followed through and completely understand the concept of placing affiliate links. My problem though is that you do not cover the new FTC rules about affiliate links. Several of my merchants want me to put a disclaimer at the top of every page where I have affiliate links. I have made an image of my disclaimer for my regular affiliate blog, and am getting ready to create one for my affiliate marketing blog. My question is.. these "in your face" "I'm getting paid if you buy something" statements, are they hurting conversions and post stickiness? I am afraid it will chase visitors away from my sites quickly.
Reply

Those SEC rules are actually not new, any time that you are promoting a product or service through an affiliate program, it should be apparent to the end-user. So yes, a statement like this.

It doesn't need to be on every page, but it should be on the pages in which you were directly sending people to a website in which you were getting paid to do so.

I was just wondering what the benefit is of either a page or a post. I thought that posts just ended up on the side menu, but now I see that they can actually be in the top menu, as well.

So when is it best to create a post, and when is it best to create a page?
Reply
HelenpDoyle Premium
Joan, I think it is a matter of personal use. What I do is, if I have a page that articles hang off of I make that one a page. For example, one of my sites is a fantasy and science fiction website. I have a number of introductory pages. One of these is 'Genera of Fantasy'. In there I give an overview of fantasy. Then I do a child page for each type of fantasy. Then I do my other articles as posts and link them to the relevant child page.

See you can have a whole web in what every way you want it.

Okay, I think I understand:) Maybe you can send me a link to your website so that I can get a better picture of what you're saying :)

If you have a blogroll in the top menu, every new post will add there, pages not.
Pages can be full screen without side banner posts can't.
I use pages for homepage, privacy, disclosure, about, and some price lists :)
Reply
JoanCB Premium
What exactly is a blogroll? Is every post that's in the top menu considered a blogroll?
Reply
Zappades Premium
If you don't change anything in your menu, you land on your blogroll if you enter your website URL.
I have a static homepage and a menu title "Blog" In the top menu you have things like "Home" "Blog" "Let's get started", "Reviews" or "about" Some are pages: Home + About. The Blog is just blog and there every new post you publish gets added automatically.
Reviews for example or let's get s.. you add relevant posts in a drop down of these menu items.
Reply
MozMary Premium
posts go to a blog roll and you can choose to have that as the front page of your website, that way people scroll down and see all your posts

pages are usually important evergreen information, posts are what the training says to do as your regular content that you'll be adding every week...

experiment on a free site, use the search bar for extra examples

Once you are in the message, you copy and past (which is ctrl c to copy your link where you are having problems and then ctrl v to paste it and send it to me). The link you want to send me will be where you are seeing read more. Just click in the browser and make sure the link is highlighted before you copy and then come over to paste it to me.

Does that make sense?

I think I am looking into targeting people who tried to get a career going after college and got lost in the shuffle, settling on lower paying jobs and got stuck at the bottom of the ladder. Lol, that's what happened to me. I got a degree, tried to find jobs, and lacked the experience or extra factor they were looking for, kept getting overlooked and decided to settle for the lower paying jobs just to make ends meet.

I thought there might be a better way to start a business for myself, so I'm sure others might have that idea too. Not sure what my keyword target would be because I can't put the whole paragraph down lol. I guess "lower paying jobs" or "after college rut" or something... I'll play with it...

I also thought about the "honest business opportunity, not a scam" type of targeting, too. But I think that's most people being skeptical and broader than the first one I described.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Absolutely a HUGE audience and one you can target. And we have lots of folks here that fit into this category and WA can certainly help people out in this area.

Most are skeptical though, so that is a small bridge that you have to get people to cross because to be frank there are a lot of scams out there that are taking advantage of people.

That is something that you can help folks with on your website, help them avoid the schemes/scams, find the programs/services that benefit them, and talk about the many topics/questions that this audience has.

well this platform is designed for beginners, they've taken most of the tech load off

you could go to site domains in SiteManager, click the Websites button there on the left to get in - and check to see if your domain name is available in a .com

you wouldn't want to drag and drop items from one site to another, if you have a site, you want to set yourself up for content and traffic, you can link your fb and site and send people each way

you can also start on a free site and get the hang of things so you know what to do with a bit of training

Get back with me after Lesson 6 and let us talk then which way you want to go.

this training certainly will suit you, it's always about giving value to people without taking advantage or fleecing them

you could certainly jump into the training with that niche in mind and with the free sites you can change up or down as you get a feel for your direction. It's about choosing a niche that interests you and you'll soon find out when you start to write content and research

there are two courses here and any niche is possible, Bootcamp will focus on selling affiliate programs like this platform i.e. WA, and the other course Online Entrepreneur will focus on all other types of niches

Do you want me to go through Lesson 6 without making the website? Or do you want me to make a website without knowing what my target market is?

Thanks John! I see what you're driving at. Is it possible to target two niches in one website? I was thinking to target persons with disabilities who can not get a regular job because of their disability and a second niche would be any online marketer who has been scammed by "business opportunities" that were for all practical purposes impossible to succeed at.
Reply
Hi Mary! Thanks for chiming in. Please excuse me, but what do you mean by "fleecing them"? I agree with you that the training here will suit me very well. In my mind I'm a bit confused by the difference between a niche and a target market. Is there a difference? I don't think so, but I could be wrong!!! I love to write, but as far as doing research is concerned, I feel really lost!!! I have never done this kind of research before. I am worried about coming up with enough content to keep writing about each day!!!

lol 'fleecing them' is one of those terms we don't think too much about, you know fleecing sheep takes all their wool and leaves them with nothing, they are left bare, so in terms of fleecing customers means taking all their money - usually in the context of marketing 'unnecessarily overpriced',

yes, niche = segment of a market = targeted audience

it's just about communicating, everyone does it their own way, when you know your product you'll be able to talk endlessly about it, see how he tells you to look at the questions people ask, you'll be helping them with their questions so they can make informed decisions, and it's something we all do naturally with all our daily stuff :)

Thanks a lot for the ideas Kyle, it did help to refine my ideas. I am thinking about opening WA to Hungarians, and to make it available and known for the ones who speak at least intermediate level English. Do you think it is possible for these people? Also, am I allowed to translate or make subscription for the videos? Or is there any already available?

there is a transcription of level 1 underway but bear in mind it is copyright material belonging to Kyle's training, translations while possible should probably stay on the platform in tutorial form just like the original transcripts in my opinion, but let's see what Kyle has to say. Also WA is already open to global audiences with intermediate English, they will find the platform via posts and searches on google

Brand direction.. While most are focused on the income side of the equation to bolster the bottom line in their personal economies. I want to focus on the solutions side! They are essentially the same and result in the same but many people are confused with starting a business or creating income. Walking them down the back road of solving a problem can bring them to the table from a different perspective.

"Pay your mortgage off in record time and reduce the interest paid"
"Unlimited vacation funds for life"
"Pay off your high student loans"
"Fund your child's interest in a sport"
"A Single parents answer to winning the money game"

I believe an entire platform can be setup around many solution oriented niche markets to drive interest and referrals.

Hi Tommy, Can you think of a better word than "get"? I think that would be more catchy if you used an alternative such as "create" or "access", "attain" etc - use an online thesaurus to get some ideas:)

Hello, I need some help in terms of choosing a niche. It looks like I need to attract traffic (audience) before I can talk to Affiliate programs. So, it is better to do something that we are good at? Let's say I am a photographer and I need to create a website and bring in traffic; however, how can I match the products which I want to help the vendor to sell?
Reply
MozMary Premium
Sounds like you need the Online Entrepeneur Course, and have a close look at lesson 2 and lesson 3

- lesson 2 he talks about the money making process where he describes our connection with vendors and products

- lesson 3 he shows us how to choose and refine a niche and choose affiliate programs eg photography affiliate programs in google shows you what's available there, he also shows you around amazon and other affiliate programs

you are right that he sets you up for traffic first, so do all the lessons in order, and choose some niche that you know about and are interested in because it's the content you write that will ultimately get traffic, when the SEO is in place

I would like to make my niche in how to build a WOW website with tools and plugins that can make your affiliate business more profitable like video software, seo booster, easy graphique software, thems pack. maybe even with time doing trainings on the products that I will promote after sending my clients to subscribe to wealthty affiliate program. what do you think about that?

Sure, you could head in that direction. Build Niche Websites, or Building Affiliate Websites. That could be the approach that you take with your niche.

I'm in process of choosing my target audience. I'm thinking of something along the lines of affiliate marketing help for newbies.

I want to help and guide new ambitious people that have a desire to create their own income. Introduce them to the basics and how everything works, so in the result, I'd lead them to WA.

Would this be a solid niche? Should I need to do some refining?

I just started the Bootcamp training, and purchased a couple of domain names, and really like one of them: wizeandwealthy.com.
My target audience, I am thinking, are "older" and "wiser" folks like myself -- baby boomers, who maybe are struggling single parents, who want to make money online. BUT. It is too vague.
Not sure, then, who my target audience should be....?

I don't feel comfortable targeting stay-at-home moms, as that is way to cliché for me. Targeting people who have worked their whole lives makes sense to me -- like an Encore Career.

HEY -- what about encorecareerathome-dot-com?
wonder if it's available!

You will be able to find your websites within the Websites menu under "SiteManager".

Here is the direct link:

You can click the link there, and it will take you directly to your website (what others see). If you are logged in, you will see the menu at the top, but you log out o f your website (top right corner) if you see that and this will take you completely out of your back office.

That is a lot of different ideas there, and a lot of different potential audiences. I would recommend that you narrow your ideas and concepts down.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Have you finalized your niche yet? If you haven't, then I'm still here to help you. Let me clarify what niche means in more detail.

Niche means the subject of your interest, in which you have some knowledge so that you can write several contents related to that niche. Actually, every niche is profitable, what matters is a number of contents you can write in that niche. So, instead of thinking which niche is profitable, think in which niche you can write many contents by targeting several different keywords, because more contents you can write, you gonna have more traffic to your website and then more conversions, sales or even a profit without selling anything or recruiting anyone, just from advertisements within your website by applying with services like Google Adsense. If you don't know what Google Adsense means, then you can click this link:- https://www.newsonlineincome.com/how-to-make-money-from-google-adsense/

So, any niche is a profitable niche for you if you have some ideas on that niche so that you can write several contents on that topic on your own as well as by doing research on Google. So, sure you can pick any niche and keep on making website exactly as guided by Wealthy Affiliate lessons by doing proper keywords research for each content.

So, keep on taking Wealthy Affiliate lessons by clicking “Training“ on the left-hand side menu of Wealthy Affiliate and after that by clicking “Online Entrepreneur Certification”. At the end of those lessons, there are some tasks which you need to complete. Move step by step from lesson 1 without skipping any lessons or tasks. I repeat, without skipping any lessons or tasks. If you move in that way, soon you will understand the system of Wealthy Affiliate and even will start to build your online business.

And remember, I'm always ready to help and support you. You can always feel free to ask me if you need any help from my side within Wealthy Affiliate. Even you can follow me and message me on my Facebook page if you need my urgent help. This is my Facebook page:- https://www.facebook.com/The.Suman.Roka/

one facet is.... establishing an online biz...so i will promote WA

another is mental toughness...

another is honoring the sacred expression of masculine and feminine energy in between partners so that you have a beautiful relationship with your partner...

so a lot of things will be based around men living a life more on their terms....i find my niche being all the men who have missed out on ancient traditions of initiation...i think as a collective,

our culture suffers from a lot of men who are not yet living their life's as men....and i am to offer them the support that they need to find themselves in this often confusing world

I'm sure Kyle is to busy to answer my question so will throw it out to the community. I'm on lesson 9 in Bootcamp and Kyle keeps talking about promoting WA on a website. I had asked the question before "do I have to create another website?" and the answer was no. My website is on Fly Fishing and can't see how promoting WA on a fishing site would fit and the farther Kyle goes on this training the more WA material he wants me to put on my website. I just can't grasp this idea or concept. What to do? Do I start over and create another website? Anyone out there have an answer for me?
Reply
merlynmac Premium
So If I'm wanting to really promote WA then I'd make a new site dedicated to whatever niche I want to help make money (i.e. retirees work from home, etc.). Now in my niche I'm helping people with drones and some are starting service or photography businesses and need an online presence. In that case I created a new post and promoted WA as a tool for web site development and hosting, etc. That's just my view but I hope it helps.
Reply
iamdewl Premium
I am kind of in the same situation but I think the best solution would be to have 2 separate websites. 1 for the Fly Fishing and 1 solely for WA promotion. Good luck!!

I would create a site just for promoting WA. For content, you can write about how much WA has taught you. Anyone who wants to build a site will learn that this is THE go-to place to learn about it.
Reply
MozMary Premium
You are in the wrong training, you need the Online Entrepreneur Course This is Bootcamp for the WA type niches, the OEC is for all other niches, so that's why he's saying put a ton of WA stuff on - he thinks people here are doing the WA affiliate program as a niche!

On the other hand you can still 'promote' WA as you have affiliate links, you may be able to share with friends or social media or do one relevant post on your website eg how you built your flyfishing site naturally leads into talking about WA or some angle like that, but really you can't go down the route of promoting it as a niche there

also - best not to take on two niches as a beginner, it dilutes your efforts, once your flyfishing site is stable and successful and where you want it to be in terms of traffic then think about a second niche - if you still want to and have time
Reply
MozMary Premium
it's best to do one first though, master it and then pick up a second one, especially as a beginner - we have Nathaniell talking a lot about the mistakes he made starting off taking on too much
Reply
albear Premium
Thanks for your input MozMary. I have completed the OEC course some time ago and wanted to continue my training so on to Bootcamp. I know it is to promote WA and never thought it through that a fishing website was not to compatible with WA. (you're not fishing on WA) but didn't relish the idea of recreating another "about me" privacy page needed for another website and dilute my efforts to continue with my first website. It just feels like I'm going to neglect my original website. Then again once I complete #2, I could neglect it when completed, but it all seems like wasted effort to do that too. Sounds like I'm arguing with myself. I can see the monetary advantage in promoting WA as a good source of income.

Reply
MozMary Premium
what you say here is precisely what superaffiliate Nathaniell says about diluting your efforts - however when your first website is strong and established and taking less time then you could consider the second one - even now you could be recording ideas and outlines of posts you intend to do and in particular researching the niche you intend to go into - but for sure it is a divided effort when both sites are at a point that they need a lot of work

I've made the mistake too, and had to tear myself away from one site to look after another and saw the traffic dip that comes with - I had one site that was really taking off very strongly very fast but diluted efforts = diluted results! It's good to read the posts of the older superaffiliates, the guys who have become really successful with this, hard to find them sometimes though as a newbie, maybe take a look at who goes to Vegas year after year

Hi Albear,

This one is challenging.

When I think of fly fishing, I think of people who have a lot of spare time to pursue such a hobby.

I'm sure there are lots of fisherman who would love to spend more time fishing, but work or their job prevents them.

I would suggest making a tab in your website called, "Ways to Create More Time for Fly Fishing" or something similar.

So my current niche site is drone related (see my profile for the URL if you want to check it out). Since I won't recommend or promote something I, myself, haven't vetted, I haven't yet started promoting WA. Now that I know it works, as evidenced by my current niche site, I'd like to start.
I was wondering if, for my first dip into promoting WA, I might create a post on my current niche site offering to help others in the drone industry/hobby market their services and offerings by promoting WA and it's training in such a way that they can see how it will help them in their endeavors. Do you think that will work or do you think that might introduce more competition for my niche, etc? Is it too specific of a target audience? What do you think?

If you are going to head in that direction with your niche, you will want to go through the Certification training, not Affiliate Bootcamp.

If you ever want a website review from the community, I highly recommend that you take advantage of the SiteFeedback system here at Wealthy Affiliate.

You could make your domain that, it is very brandable. You just don't want to try to promote MANY different niches from one website, you want to choose on particular target audience for your niche.

When you choose a domain, you are going to want to choose something that is "brandable" versus something that has keywords within it. The reason this is the case is because as you build out your website, you can target as many keywords as you like within the content (that is how you will rank).

I have created a discussion here outlining the process and what to look for when choosing a domain name: This should help you out here and if you ever want to run any domains by me, simply let me know and I will give you some feedback.

The main point that I am getting from the article is that your audience really needs to be a segment of the population the potentially has an interest in affiliate marketing. The first site had a greater focus on interests, hobbies etc. and the basics of Word Press. Boot Camp has a greater focus on the "making money" end of things. This is just my perception however. It takes a good bit of thinking to decide your target audience.

Hi Manila,

Don't worry...your question makes perfect sense :)

First of all, if you've decided to recommend WA then I suggest you take a look at the affiliate bootcamp training. It's similar to the Online Entrepreneur Certification training, but it is more specific about targeting audiences who might have an interest in what WA has to offer. Here's the link to the training: Regarding your domain name, it would ideally need to be linked to the nature of your niche, and including "affiliate" would therefore be a good idea. In the bootcamp training you will see Kyle's example where he also has "affiliate" in his domain.

I will just add that you don't necessarily have to include "affiliate" in the title of your domain name as it depends on the overall angle of your website.

For example, I recommend WA on one of my websites but my domain includes the words "work from home" and doesn't include "affiliate". That's because I am targeting people who are looking for ways to work from home online.

The bootcamp training expands on this a great deal and will help you to focus on a specific segment of a more general niche, making your domain name choice a lot easier.

Hope this helps for now, Manila!

Hello, I like the like idea of building a lifestyle around affiliate marketing and was wondering if I'm on the right track with my niche: Remote work lifestyle. I want to target people who desire the ability to choose what time they wake up and work from anywhere, whether it be from a bed, a cozy coffee shop or a private island.

I think I can narrow it down and make it funny with something catchy like: "I wake up when I want" or "I work from bed" but I'm worried about it not being specific enough or not SEO friendly.

What do you think?

If you're looking for a title for your website, I like your funny names. "I work from bed" would certainly catch my attention xD You can always use the website Tagline to enter an SEO friendly description of what your website will offer.

The "work from anywhere" niche is fairly saturated (with lots of scams out there as well) but is an "evergreen" niche and if your content is well written and informative and you apply your keywords and all the training from WA correctly, this can work for you!

I can already see that you're an "out of the box" thinker, so if you apply this to your content you can bring readers another spin on the "work from anywhere" niche rather than the same blah-blah and empty promises that are available on most other "work from anywhere" opportunity blogs.
Once Google notices your uniqueness and authoritativeness, you will have no problem ranking on Pg1 in Google. And then you will start seeing the traffic and the $ increasing.

The training will show you the best way to apply all the SEO principles to your website and content.

Just my thoughts. Hope this helped.

@WandavdH Awesome, thank you for your feedback and fantastic advice. I couldn't agree more, I want to do something different and set myself apart from the other people doing the same thing in the remote lifestyle space. Not sure exactly what that looks like yet but I'm optimistic and have a few ideas brewing :)

Your insight helped very much, liked and followed ;)

I am thinking about going for the Affiliate marketers direction. I also want to spread this program. Since I am visually impaired, I'd like to tel others in the same situation that they can make money from their homes and that it is accessible with screen reading software. Isn't this the right direction to take then? Many thanks!

I've also started the same way and after a week I decided to get involved on the Affiliate side for the same reason as you. If your instincts tells you that than you should listen to it. You won't regret it. I am now ready to be in a good position to expose my referral link to the world and make money. Don't worry though that it seems you're redoing the training. You'll go through it swiftly as you've learned what to do during the first part.

You can go back and do this at any time.

You can add these custom menus to organize your top menu in any way in which you like, as well as create sub-menus (for themes that will support this). You can also use these custom menus to add within your side widgets on your website (within your sidebar).

Here is a tutorial on how to create custom menus: I use custom menus on all of my websites (over-ride that default menu). It allows much more control and organization....both good things!

So on my Home page the "About Me" I am not seeing partial of the welcome, it just say "About Me" then above that title it says "uncategorized"

If I look at your Home Page Kyle it shows Part of the welcome from your "about me".

Why is that?

I appreciate the training on writing reviews. I have one big, glaring question ... how can I give a "real" review of a product I have not personally used? To me, it seems that if I haven't used a product then I'm not qualified to review it. On the other hand, I don't necessarily want to buy everything I intend to sell. Any suggestions?
Reply
Kyle Premium
You can review products without buying them, in an ideal situation you would own every product but there are circumstances where this isn't cost efficient or necessary.

There are many reviews on Amazon itself (if it is an Amazon product), within forums, other websites, product information, discussion boards, the actual product website, etc that you can leverage to offer a thorough, informative, truthful, and highly engagement review for your audience for just about any product you can imagine.

It all comes down to doing your research and this is part of the process when writing any content, whether it be for a review or whether it is for a product/service or a generic sort of article.
Reply
MozMary Premium
if you really know and understand a product and you see someone selling something there usually is an opportunity to explore it, test it, read their literature and you sort of know straight away how it measures up in the market - what sort of value they are offering with that product

the problem only comes if someone reviews something they haven't researched and don't really know about, and those bluff reviews are easy to spot

I am interested in doing social media training as a niche market using the training as a way to get people to WA starting with a bit of Facebook and then branching out to other traffic source training. Has anybody got any ideas on this or are doing something similar.

I for one think it is a good idea. I am one of those people who never used social media very much and I definitely had a learning curve with all the different ones. And, I'm still learning.

It would be nice to find one place where well done tutorials are done for the different social medias. I've had to go here, there and everywhere searching for good training all in one place.

Many people just starting out also don't engage in social media and building their businesses will be the first time really getting involved with it.

Hi,
I am building my website and in the training it shows you what to do with a free website. I bought a domain, and am not sure if i do the other 3 steps listed under the free website? In step 2 I put in my domain name i bought.

Another question is was I suppose to click anything else when I bought the domain?Right now on the site manager it says the name of my domain ,and it says "no website wordpress install".Is that how it should be, or should i click on" install website"(i do not know what I am doing)?

I have the same issue, but I realized that It's because I did not move my siterubix.com domain to my new domain has yet. I started out with two websites, one for my niche and one for WA Bootcamp affiliate program. I click on the move button in site manager to move my niche siterubix.com to my purchased domain , but my other website for the WA program is not moved yet so it is still saying "no wordpress website installed" but it is just a matter of pressing the move button in site manager after I build out some more content on the siterubix.com version. I hope this helps

you don't have to move a website onto an own domain, you can build directly on it - looks like you haven't a second siterubix site and you intend to build one first - well just hit the build website button and it will ask you to choose if it's a free site or a domain you own, with your new domain click the one you own

Hey there - not sure if this is the right answer but I find that it is far easier to write a good honest review if you have actually tried the product yourself. At worst if you know someone who you trust has used something and they rave about it then that is the next best thing. But I think honesty is definitely a key. Don't leave a review on something you haven't tried out yourself.

When I think about "refining" my brand I think about the frustration I've experienced in learning the internet. It is not "intuitive" to me, at least not the marketing aspect of using the internet. I relate well to people of all ages, so I don't want to needlessly restrict myself. However, I think I might like helping people who have found the internet as "esoteric" as I have.

HELP - I am just about done with the 1st post for the AFFILIATE BOOTCAMP course and then I read in lesson nine that in month 1, one must have between 5-10 posts and then again in month 3 about 30+ posts and bunches more thereafter.

My question is: What do I write about in all those posts if I want to concentrate on marketing the WA product ?
Reply
MozMary Premium
that's why they say choose a niche you love, because you have to learn your niche, and it's easier to learn about something interesting

basically get to know whatever aspect of the WA product you are promoting - you know the way it is about people - when they like something and know all about it then they just won't shut up, they talk about it all the time, everything they do seems to give them an excuse to talk even more - that's the way we get with our websites :)

but it's a good test for you as to whether this niche is for you or if another subject works better - jump in first and see if you like it - it can be quite addictive

It certainly looks like a great thing, but I'm worried about taking my off the ball of the original website before it has started getting good amounts of traffic and conversions.

Feedback about others experiences would be gratefully received.

Your niche ideas are definitely viable directions for your niche. You need to choose one when starting out, what are you most passionate about?

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Yes your country is supported and web business is not only related to your country, it is worldwide. So, sure you are eligible to do this business.
First of all, you need to think how to drive visitors/traffic in your website. Once you get visitors, such as more than 1000 visitors per month, then you can apply with advertisement network like Google Adsense, Media.net and so on for free of cost. They will give you the code which you need to add in your website to display ads. Then they will find out the suitable ads for your website automatically and pay you for displaying their ads on your website. Similarly, you can sell your own products from your website or you can apply to a company like Amazon.com to sell the products through your website and get a commission for each sale.
It will at least take 4-5 months to start earning from your own website. But, it depends how much time you can give per day. If you can give more than 8 hours a day for this business, even you can earn within a month.
If you don't have Paypal, then you can get money through bank wire transfer. That is available in every country in every bank.
Everything has been explained in the Wealthy Affiliate course which is very easy to understand. So, I suggest you to keep on taking Wealthy Affiliate lessons by clicking “Get Started Here/Certification“ green bar on the left-hand side menu of Wealthy Affiliate. At the end of those lessons, there are some tasks which you need to complete. Move step by step from lesson 1 without skipping any lessons or tasks. I repeat, without skipping any lessons or tasks. If you move in that way, soon you will understand the system of WA and even will start to build your online business.

If you add your affiliate link within your review, and publish it, then it will take them to WA.

Regarding changing the theme...

If you go to Appearance => Themes (and "customize" for your particular theme ) within the back office of your website, you will likely see your home page header there which you can upload an image for.

There are typically many other settings in there as well that you can use to manipulate theme colours, font colours, theme images, logos, menus, structure/layout, etc.

I want to get started ASAP & I have some people that I want to help get started. Is this easy for seniors that are not that computer savy to be able to earn money. Once we upgrade for $19. to premium we have to keep paying $49./mo to stay at premium. Ok as long as we earn at least that amount in the beginning. I am very close to the vest with finances and would like to get to $300./day = $9000./mo ASAP so I can accomplish my other goals with Modular Built Homes. I want to help my sister in NM to earn at least $70/day or $2100.+/mo, but of course I want her to triple that with time. Do they have to say that LouisFlaco1 sent them to get commissions or how does that work. I have a ton of seniors that are struggling that I can reach on a daily(5 days/week) by going to senior centers all over SoCal. I came here because I got scammed by Money Sucking Websites that said I could earn $500./day or $15K/mo from day 1. They never called me back to give me a user name or password. I got the charge reversed & when I did a review you came up as a legit company. I sure hope you are the answer to my prayers as I will put in the time to make this sublime. I will most likely upgrade to premium real soon. Lou

Yeah, it is $19 first month, then $49 per month for a premium membership. There is also a yearly option, that is $359 for the entire year (works out to be $29 per month).

Everybody earns money at a different rate, so it really depends on the person. I have actually created a discussion on this that will put things into perspective for you here: Have a read of that, I know it will give you a lot of insight into this exact topic. ;)

The first month is typically your foundation building stage. In order to build a website that earns you consistent revenue, you need this foundation. After this, you are going to start seeing traffic and as you build this out, there are many different ways in which you can generate revenue.

Personally it took me into my 3rd month of busting my butt to make my first dollar online, by month 6 though I was making consistent income and by the year mark, I was almost full time.

But guess what would have happened if I quit during those first two "trying" months. I would not be where I am at today. Just wanted to put things into perspective for you.

I am in this journey with you, so is the community here at WA. If you want to jump in, work hard, take action, and persist. Amazing things can and will happen!

Absolutely the direction that you can head.

PS. You can host up to 25 of your own domains here within the Premium membership on our state of the art hosting platform. :)

I'm a bit worried this might be too generic.
One target audience I want to attract is ex-military Veterans, being one myself.
I intend to build a site based around this but I'd be interested to know how posting veteran related content on my generic learn-to-earn site might pan out.
I feel this site might be good to promote offline, for example, giving people business cards or leaflet dropping, as we should be promoting WA offline too.
Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated :-)

what I love about this platform, Rich is that you get so many ideas.

I know of someone who actually created a meet-up at his local coffee shop. You could put up fliers where you think veterans would see it, find a place you can conduct a meeting for free or at low cost, and then just talk about Wealthy Affiliate and have a video to show.

There really is no one-size-fits-all approach here.

Here's a great video that may come in handy:

Hi team, I'm trying to decide on my niche but I'm a little lost and confused as I would like to target people like me without any extra income but the salary and wanting to quit their 9 - 5 Job as quickly as possible. What would be a good direction/brand?

For direction I thinking about: Pass Income Seekers (although I feel is too vast).

For my brand: bosslesslifestyle, no95anymore or beyourboss4ever

Hi Pedro,

I see you're getting right into like me. I'm also at that point of my training, but don't worry about being confused or lost. Your questions will be answered even if I don't have the answer for it.

One thing that I have done to stop the confusion is to go back to the lesson that you started with that got you to where you're at and see if you missed or overlooked something. It happens, so don't feel as if you're not getting it.

It is a lot of info to take in, but in time you will start to see it unfold and the ideas will become clear to you. The ideas that you have sound great and with a little bit of guidance from the lessons that are laid out for us to follow should really put you on track.

I wish i could be the one recommending to you where to go from here, but I too am in your position and all I can do is share the experience that I'm going through while I'm learning here in WA.

It's truly a great platform and you will gain tons of knowledge from it if you take it in bits and pieces and give yourself a break to process it all. It's a process and you'll have to also demonstrate that to your visitors, clients, followers or who ever you bring in through your website. You will set the example for them as you progress in your journey.

I hope you find the answer you're looking for Pedro. Much success to you and hope you overcome any obstacles that come your way. Because they can all be overcome with patience and determination.

Best to you Pedro

Rick

Hello Darksniper,

Thanks for your comment, but I'll have to say that other members would agree with your response because once you start to take notice of how this community comes together, it's a no-brainer. You're either in here to succeed or not. It's really that simple.

The one thing that dragged me down when I was in other internet marketing systems was support. Most systems just want to send you to outdated videos and keep you waiting long enough to have an excuse not to refund your money.

WA is a godsend to me and I'm not going to let this one go by. You mention that you need to make this work, right Darksniper? well, if you have the desire to want to learn and become successful from the work you put into it, there is no reason why you couldn't make this work for you.

I too have a daughter who said to me a few weeks ago, "daddy, I wish you had a business here at home" that struck a nerve in a way that it put me into action. I translated her comment as "I miss you and want to see you when I come home from school. Why can't you work in a place that will allow you to be home more often?"

I too, have to make this work and I'm determined to make it work. It's not wishful thinking, it's not a thing that only a few special people have a knack for doing, you don't have to have a full-time job or a money to do it. There are many ways to make things work. One just needs to have the desire and determination to make it happen.

I'm sure it will happen for you too Darksniper. Wishing you the best success and hope you overcome any obstacles that try to deter you from your goals.

Be safe,

Rick

So I'm want to go into internet marketing which covers a wide spectrum of things. Is this too wide? Should I get a site for each niche? For example, a site for affiliate marketing, traffic, CPA, etc.? What if my blog posts covers all these areas on one site? Would that be too wide a coverage for a single site?

Hi, while you promote WA as a money making opportunity there is a very wide range of things you can cover all in one site, but, what you'll find in the training is that you want to start with a well defined target audience, then you can grow from there. Best wishes!

write them all as one word and see how they look - are they easy to read and remember - they will look differently all one word

then go to site domains and see if it's available

you can use your free sites till you are sure of what you really want

I would like another example of writing a review. I'm kinda confused, as to compose my review about my niche or should I put my focus on wealthy affiliate and why I signed up and motivate and captivate my audience.

Mostly I would like to view someone's post. So I could get a bird's eye view.

sounds like you are confused which niche to choose, the other training Online Entrepreneur is for other niches, best to choose a niche you know about or like enough to research. Reviews require you to 'review' as in know something well enought to explain it to others. You can check out the sites Kyle uses as demos to see how he presents a review

Hi Theresa,
I'm glad you're enjoying WA
We all tend to overthink a little bit, don't worry.

The easiest way to do this is...
Write down what you wanna do, and jump in with both feet!

Just like when you wanna go somewhere,
Don't worry about the red lights...
The obstacles don't even register in your thinking process
You just know you'll get there... eventually

Along the way, we all have to adjust the route
So, Try to stay focus on what you want to do
As you go, the journey becomes clearer and easier

You're a Designer, an Artist, A Painter. You're A Sculptor
Just get your fingers in the mud and enjoy yourself

This will not be your only canvas
This is not the only clump of clay you'll play with

What I'm saying is,
Stick to the Training and apply the principles as you learn
And You will create a work of art soon enough

Ask every question you can muster
And Continue asking for assistance
We're all here for each other

We got your back! :)

Also, if you are going to head in one of these directions I recommend that you go through the OEC training versus the affiliate bootcamp.

One idea might be to research the market to find the programs currently being aggressively promoted to the stay-at-home-mom and stay-at-home-dad niche... and start by sharing due-diligence, honest program reviews. Actually reach out to active participants, find out what's working, what's not, etc. Also look to feature that are working. It would be an awesome niche.

So, the question is, i am thinking of buying my own domain and start first by promoting WA by sharing all my experiences learning and starting all from zero knowledge to what i know now..

Previously, I was thinking of buying my own domain and name it after my own name because in the long run, i am planning to make it like my journal and put everything there because i am pretty interested in so many things like relationships, health, making money, and the list goes on.

so yeah there's the previous plan of using my full name (it'll be roxanneabejuela.com , just in case) as my domain but i have read a lot of comments here in WA to get started with a specific name of the website pertaining to what really is your niche or the so-called "keyword" specific domain (thanks and shout out to Alan Hocking!), if you get what i mean.

Your suggestion would really mean a lot. Thank you so much!

As you are not working with WA really long I think it will not be easy to come up with a lot of helpful content yet.
You could also stay with some free siterubix websites for the moment and try out some niches and see how they work.
You can use 25 of them.

Where can I find a standard format for writing blogs, reviews, content for WA as well as Word Press?

I'm having a heck of a time typing any composition using WA.

Is there a tutorial for use...I'm used to Outlook in Office...above leaves much desired...or so it seems to me???

Thanks,

Personally, I like to type everything into a code editor like Notepad++ or Sublime Text first and then add all the images and formatting later in the SiteContent editor, then make the final touches directly in wordpress... but that's just me.. :-D

I tried using outlook in Office...copied and pasted in Wa...the results were too small and didn't look right. Maybe should not " have copied and paste?

Is there a direct way to transfer from outlook or any outside source direct into WA or Word Press?

Thanks for you help...I need it!

have you seen the sitecontent platform at WA, or taken the tour

you have the option to use that with its template options too, or write directly into wordpress itself

some people use word but there are potential issues alright Kyle covers it in the training too

I am just finishing bootcamp branding. I have data that I use for a company I own that gives me access to over 15 million businesses In the U.S. It gives me ownership names and other contact info. The range of type of business is everything.

My idea is to promote WA to this group insteah of one area such as "Hejping Affiliate Marketers"....What do you think.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Sure, you could definitely help businesses.

There is LOTS that we offer here that can help any type of business within the online world, including a great deal of local marketing training, research platforms/tools, websites/hosting, coaching and support from an internet marketing side of things.

If you speak to this audience in a relevant way, you could definitely get a great deal of conversions.
Reply
GeorgePetros Premium
What do you mean relevant way? I tried all day yesterday to get an opinion question answered. I presented it in a thoughtful manner and the response would tell me what direction to take my website.

By your insinuation that my question was not relavant misses the mark and the real issue is WA benefits are not living up to it"s hype and with that attitude I'm questioning my decision to work with WA

Trying to get my head around the concepts in this lesson...these are the understandings I have. Would appreciate input from one of the experts...
I am working on lesson 2 and would love to get some clarification on choosing my niche.
I know I want to help people with Affiliate Marketing, but not clear on how to narrow it down. Does it mean I would focus on one area like blogging, or social media marketing, or a variety of online marketing tools? etc.

I understand i should be creating a blog to promote WA. should this program be promoted only on "Make Money Online Niche" or would it be appropriate on sites for eg in Health & Fitness as well.

Also know my target audience would be persons in retirement or approaching retirement, or persons who have high level of dissatisfaction with their current jobs and lifestyle.
I put the demographic in the keyword research tool, but not sure how to use that info

Thanks for your input anyone

Jeannah,

Your niche can be anything you want it to be and you can still promote WA. You can let people know how you got started with your online business and explain that it was WA where you learned how to build your own online business.

Don't focus on only one marketing tools, You should use all those tools in conjunction with each other. Use every market tool available to you because all of them will help you build traffic along with having great content.

Are you asking how to use keywords?
"I put the demographic in the keyword research tool, but not sure how to use that info"

Can you expand a little on what you are asking in that sentence?

My first website is intended to help newcomers to an online business by coming through WA. I write content about things that have been problem issues to me or other marketers so they will be able to avoid those pitfalls.

Therefore, I believe that everyone is my target market just as Kyle's article (Target Audiences for Wealthy Affiliate). But, he indicates we should go in a specific direction.

I guess that is where I may need help because I don't understand why we can't target to all audiences?
Reply
Kyle Premium
You can target all people, but the "theme" of your website (helping people start an online business) has to be more specific.

As you build out your website, you are going to be able to promote all sorts of things and you are also going to be able to promote and MANY topics that you will be able to cover on your website.

I think how you have narrowed down your niche is just fine!

You are heading in the right direction with your ideas.

I would like to build a website for the people who are looking for a real online opportunity and want to make money.

WA is my primary choice. Online marketing niche is a very broad niche. I think I will use some niche and demographics advice from this lesson to narrow a bit my site and to focus on targeted audience.

I am still building the site and going through the training, so there is still a lot to do.

I would like to focus on the Residual Income Seekers, but then I think of the Disabled Individuals. I am familiar with Residual Income Seekers because I can relate. But at the same time I can relate with Disabled Individuals. I am not disabled myself, but my previous job was helping the permanently disabled obtain their Social Security Benefits. Does this mean I should name my site accordingly or can I continue with a generic domain to keep a diverse outlook?
