Where is the first place we come to do our research?

Online.

The Internet is the gateway to information and being an affiliate marketer, of course this is where you are going to be delivering your reviews to a captive audience. If you understand how to effectively create a review, you can drive a lot of traffic to your business, and effectively convert a lot of "prospective" buyers into actual buyers.

There are some KEY elements to any trustworthy, authoritative websites online. One of these key elements is reviewing products and services within their respective industry.

That is what this lesson is going to teach you all about, how to create through and very insightful reviews on your website. Reviews will naturally become a core component of your website moving forward and you will likely be making many product/service recommendations over time, and occasionally, helping people avoid products or services that may not help them out.

Your first focus is going to be the integration of Wealthy Affiliate into your site, but there are many affiliate programs out there that you will be able to leverage through time to create multiple streams of income. Reviewing and promoting many different products is going to happen with time.

Before I get into things, I would love for you to watch the following video on how to create and architect a proper review (I use Wealthy Affiliate in my example).

DISCUSS VIDEO: Creating Thoughtful, Insightful Reviews

The 4 "CIAO" Principles to a Great Review

When people go to purchase anything online or offline, typically they will review it. Unless it is a complete impulse buy (which does happen to the best of us), we will spend our time researching a product before we purchase it. We want to be informed and feel as though we are making the best purchasing decision possible.

There are four core principles that I follow when creating my reviews, I call these the "CIAO Principles".

1. Captivating.

All of your reviews, and content for that matter, need to capture the interest of your audience. If you can't capture the interest, people will get through the first paragraph of your content and leave. The hard work is getting someone to your site and if you are captivating with your content, they will stay to read what you have to say.

To be "captivating" you should write as though you are writing to a friend, explaining a product or service to them. Explaining the benefits of it, how their life will be better having it than not having it.

This captivation also starts with a STRONG title and headings within your content that keep the reader engaged. Tell people what you are going to talk about before you talk about it!

2. Informative.

Plain and simple, if you don't provide people with enough information to make a purchasing decision (either to buy or not to buy a product/service), then they are going to vacate your site and resume their research elsewhere. That equates to LOST traffic and revenue. This is the reason you want to offer a very informative review, something that is comprehensive enough that someone can make a decision after reading your review. One that builds enough trust and offers people enough help that they feel comfortable enough with your "words" that they decide.

A recommendation would be a minimum of 1,000 words for every review post you create on your site. Write until you feel you are offering a comprehensive experience for your visitor.

3. Accurate.

A review should be accurate to the best of your knowledge. Make sure that when you create your reviews, that you base it on factual information. Sure it is fine to have an opinion based on facts, but you don't want to be in a situation where you are making stuff up or creating a fabricated story.

The facts can be derived from many places and will accomplished through thorough product research. The internet is your information gateway and you can learn an incredible amount about a product or service through:

  • Researching it on the product website or sales channels
  • Your own product experience (if you have tried it)
  • Forums and online discussion platforms
  • Youtube, Vimeo, and other video platforms
  • Through other bloggers and industry authority websites
  • Communicating directly with others that have tried it

Lots of ways to put together and accurate and precise review, utilize all of the resources available to you.

4. Opinionated.

Your opinion matters, in particular when the very essence of your brand and authority as you build out your website content is going to surround your brand. You can feel confident in offering people your opinionated information within your reviews if you are basing your review on accurate and factual information.

If you feel a product is great because of XYZ, then state it. If you feel it is lacking because of XYZ, then state that. Your content is unique to you and the same way that you would email a friend explaining a product/service that they should try or not try, is the same way you should present your content within your reviews. Be opinionated, it will make your reviews much more interesting to read and will lead to much better results.

Task 1: Choosing a Winning Title for Your Review

Although your review is going to be a critical element of your website and you are going to be able to link to it from many places moving forward, with ALL of your content you create your goal is also going to be to rank in Google, Bing & Yahoo.

And this starts with the KEYWORD phrase that you choose. Reviews are no different and when someone goes to look for information on something online, there are a few key characteristics and behaviours that you should be aware of with their research.

  • They Want "Reviews" of the Information. (Review, Compare, Does it Work)
  • They Are Looking for Various Product Insights (price, success stories, affiliate program, how does it work, income proof, etc)
  • They Tend to Look for The Dirty Laundry. (Scams, Ripoff, Complaints, BBB rating)

Here is a list of potential keywords that you could use within the title of your post.

  • wealthy affiliate review
  • wealthy affiliate reviews
  • review of wealthy affiliate
  • wealthy affiliate review 2017
  • 2017 wealthy affiliate review
  • wealthy affiliate scam
  • does wealthy affiliate work
  • wealthy affiliate success stories
  • wealthy affiliate ripoff
  • wealthy affiliate complaints
  • wealthy affiliate hosting
  • wealthy affiliate comparison
  • wealthy affiliate price
  • wealthy affiliate income proof
  • wealthy affiliate affiliate program
  • how does wealthy affiliate work

Here is the title I have selected for my post.

Ideally, you want to choose a title that you are not going to be changing. Once you decide on the title, and in particular once your review post ranks in Google and other search engines, you don't want to be updating your title too often (as it can tank your rankings in Google).

So choose a title that (a) has your targeting keyword somewhere within it (b) that is captivating, and (c) is something that you are happy with.

Task 2: Create Your Wealthy Affiliate Review

Great! You have your post title set out, this is going to be the premise of your review, but ultimately your goal is going to be to provide people with a BRILLIANTLY captivating, informative, accurate and opinionated review (remember the 4 CIAO principles).

When you construct your review, there are several elements that will remain critical to your review and that I tend to focus on within all my reviews in terms of the structure and design.

1. Product/Service Overview

If you look at every successful review website out there and from my personal experience, it is very important not just to offer someone a thorough and informative review, but also to offer them a much lighter weight and easier to read "overview". This is in essence of an overall product breakdown based on the main elements of the product or service.

See the example within my WA review.

These should be consistent on your website for "similar" products. For example, if I were to review other products that were in the same industry as Wealthy Affiliate, I would likely want to use the very same criteria as this.

You can choose the criteria you will be review, it is your content but this should give you a few ideas as to some "ranking categories" that you can have within your reviews for Wealthy Affiliate and similar industry related products. Be unique and original.

2. Captivating Internal Headlines

Within your content, you are going to have internal headlines using H3 tags (the size of the font). These serve many practical uses. The first being that they break up your content and make it more readable. Nobody likes to read one big massive block of text, it is cumbersome and strains the readers eyes.

Secondly, it helps you foreshadow the next topic of discussion. In the case of the screenshot below, I am foreshadowing my section on Wealthy Affiliate Support by indicating that it is a community of caring experts. This is MUCH more interesting than having a boring title like "Wealthy Affiliate Support".

So make sure you make full use of headlines within your content, it will lead to many more people reading your content and ultimately more $$.

3. Call-to-Action Links

The last main focus here is going to be call to action links that take your website visitors to Wealthy Affiliate, through your affiliate link.

Remember, as your will want to get your affiliate link through the "Program Details" tab, at the top of the page (as shown below).

That is your link you will be using on your website in which will track your referrals and ultimately the revenue you generate from your site.

To add your link, simply highlight the text you want to link and then click the link button (chain link icon) within the top header. Then choose "Insert Link".

A modal will pop-up, and then within the "URL" field, you are going to add your affiliate link.

The key to a successful call-to-action link is to create one that is entices someone to click it and it is contextually relevant to the content surrounding it. Here is an example of a call-to-action link that I created within the "training" section on my review.

These are the three main focuses of the review, outside of course creating quality, thorough content, you want to put some emphasis on having a "shortened" overview, creating internal headlines, and call-to-action links.

Wealthy Affiliate Reviews. Uncut.

In terms of a site like Wealthy Affiliate, you have hands on experience with it. If you have a website in an industry that is related to the services offered here at Wealthy Affiliate, you could write a thorough, insightful, accurate, and opinonated review.

You have hands on experience, you have likely personally been connected with many members here at WA (myself and Carson include), and you have gotten a good grasp of the helpful, forward thinking and "members first" nature of WA.

We haven't changed our prices in 12 years, we have a team of 25 people working behind the scenes to move the technology, training and offering far beyond anything else offered within this space. That is our focus, and something we invest 60-70 hours per week working towards.

What was $359 and people loved as a “keyword list” site back in 2005, is now something that is obviously "light years" more sophisticated, elaborate and useful in 2017, something that is still $359 per year.

Comparable hosting alone, is $250 per month and as we progress through 2017, there won't be a Managed hosting company in the industry that can compete with the hosting that we offer here at WA.

Look around the platform when constructing your review and make it personal to you and your experience. A few things you could focus on.

  • Support (Live Chat, SiteSupport, Q & A)
  • Personal Mentoring
  • Community
  • Training Courses, Step by Step
  • Weekly Live Classes (and 100's of hours of replays)
  • Ambassadorship Program
  • Online Entrepreneur Certification
  • Affiliate Bootcamp
  • The Affiliate Program
  • Networking
  • Building Websites
  • Website Performance Tools (SiteRubix)
  • Website Engagement Platform (SiteComments)
  • The Hosting Platform
  • SiteContent Writing Platform
  • Keyword Research Tool
  • etc.

That is just to name a few of the platforms here at WA that you could integrate into your review. Of course you don't need to write a small novel and included everything, but remember, you want to be Informative and thorough. It will lead to much better conversions and a better experience for your visitors (and ultimately better rankings).

Task 3: Publish Your Review as a POST to Your Website

The last task is very straightforward. You are going to simply be publishing your content to your website.

Make sure you publish your content as a "Post". The reason for this is that you are going to want to allow for comments within your review, which is going to be a critical component of your review, building trust and conversions moving forward.

Tasks 0/4 completed
2. Choose a Winning Title for Your Review

I messed up !!!! My domain name is "all-entreprenuers.siterubix.com" but the name of my website is "The Disabled Entrepreneur". The training says the domain name and the website title should be the same. Oh and by the way, my niche is the disabled entrepreneur. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this problem ??

Do you have any content on it?
If so you can save it first.

Then all you have to do is delete it and start again with your new name.

To do this -

You click on Websites on the left of your screen
Then Site Manager.

Find your Site.

Over on the far right you will see the word - Details

Click on that and scroll down the page and you will see the words - Delete This Website

My niche is in Affiliating Marketing. I know in my heart there is success in this niche. However, I do not want to make mistakes but learn from the best and genuine affiliate marketers unlike soooooo...many others out there who promises, gets you pumped up, and presto...it costs an arm and a leg to join. So what is a good direction to begin with and I like the brand name Genuine Affiliate.
What do you think?

Great to have you!

We all make mistakes along the path to success. If we don't, then we don't grow. You will make less by having the training here at WA.

I think that's a cool brand name, but if you like it, you better grab it b4 someone else does.

When I was in decision mode for the domain I was going to purchase, I came back to buy it the next day and it was unavailable.

Peace,

So. My plan is to work kind of backwards. First up, I intend to list all the subjects I believe I have enough knowledge to produce content on. Then i will sit down with some friends or family, give them the subject and ask them what they would like to know about the subject. This would be the search terms they would type into google and therefore my keywords. I will then build the site around these keywords as they will give me an insight into the searchers intent. I can then tailor the content around the questions, thereby giving the searcher exactly what they are looking for. I'm hoping that by working this way, I will build an organically sound website.
Does this make sense ?

This is beyond frustrating...I am a Premium member and am trying to figure out this whole website building. I tried entering a new domain name to start my own WA site. I think that's what I am attempting to do. Everything I try, won't accept a domain name. I have the title picked and the theme but cannot get a domain. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi, I will try to help you. I saw that you already have a website here on WA, and Google already recognizes it. Do you try to get another one?
It shouldn`t be hard. Go to https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/domains and search for the domain name you want. Sometimes you can`t get domain because it`s already taken, so you will need to try with another title. Post with small caps and altogether like mydomainname and then click enter. You will get a suggestion about which domains are available. Choose your domain and add to the Cart.

Hope it helps. If you still have problems, we will ask for support help.

Can you guys please tell me what ya think about them.

Well I think you could effectively target both topics within your niche. I would just narrow down your brand to something a bit more specific.

When you choose a domain, you are going to want to choose something that is "brandable" versus something that has keywords within it. The reason this is the case is because as you build out your website, you can target as many keywords as you like within the content (that is how you will rank).

I have created a discussion here outlining the process and what to look for when choosing a domain name: This should help you out here and if you ever want to run any domains by me, simply let me know and I will give you some feedback.

PS. You can host up to 25 of your own domains here within the Premium membership on our state of the art hosting platform. :)

Sure, it could be in the data entry jobs. or Writing Jobs. That could be your approach, there are endless things that you could write about, that you could review, etc.

Hi Kyle. I just got some very devastating news this morning that I have to turn my attention to. I have still not wrapped my head around it and probably won't for a couple of days. I manage a couple businessses... we own a fitness and mma gym and invest in real estate. The cash flow from one busines helps fund the other business. I'm looking at this program to build more cash flow because the number one thing that keeps people from buying more real estate is investment capital.

I see this as a powerful tool to help people build a second income to be able to have more available capital to invest in real estate or other business. I believe I'd like to target real estate investors (beginner/intermediate level).

Do we build a site around this "direction" and then later build around other directions as we gain momentum in this one?

There's soooo many directions we can go!!

I'd love some honest feedback on my direction and if anyone can see a potential better direction to start...?

Thanks so much in advance!

One thing you never want to do with marketing is fall into the trap of "convincing".

So in your question you suggest you want to offer this opportunity to real estate investors... And that is not a good idea, because it requires convincing... Whereas if you were targeting people looking to start with affiliate marketing, no convincing required because this offers exactly what they want.

A better idea if you are interested in real estate is to simply pick a niche related to real estate, such as "mold damage" for example. Build a site around that, then recommend related products.

As you can likely see it is MUCH easier to convert visitors into sales onto a mold damage site offering mold damage products than it would be on a real estate investing site promoting an affiliate marketing program.

Hope that makes sense :)

My PP is out there for all to see and Google actually likes to see them published online.

If you have published as a Post and not a Page then its a simple matter to have your PP as a Post in your Wordpress in Edit Mode.

Click on the TEXT function to the right of your little menu and NOT Visual.

Highlight the whole page and right click your mouse and choose Copy.

Open a Blank Page from your WP Dashboard.

Again choose TEXT.
Right click your mouse and choose Paste.
Click on Visual and your PP should be showing.
Publish right away.

Go back to Posts and delete your PP.

This step, to me, seems like it will take some time; fine tuning your target audience & coming up with a clever, relevant site/business name. Can your name be general yet apply to a vast market? Because there are so many angles to target I wouldn't want to be stuck on one subject. I want my path to be wide open, and not reach a dead end with the wrong idea or business model

Actually, most people on Wealthy Affiliate seem to have two websites. One for promoting Wealthy Affiliate and one which is their niche topic.

Your niche, apart from online income should be something you have a passion for and would like to share with other people. The most important thing is to write content that will help people who are interested in what you are writing about.

If you were a nurse, possibly your niche could have something to do with nursing. You would have to narrow it down so your niche talks about a specific area of nursing.

Maybe home nursing or nursing from home jobs. I just did a quick search for you and found this>>>>

What jobs can nurses do from home?

Here are some of the types of nursing jobs you may find.

Medical Call Center. Working in a medical call center is perhaps the nursing job from home that takes the least experience. ...
Case Manager. ...
Online Instructor/Course Developer. ...
Legal Nurse Consultant. ...
Health Care Recruiter. ...
Health IT/Nursing Informatics.

This might be a worthwhile niche to consider. You could talk about what it takes to become a nurse and what direction you can take your nursing career if you find yourself having to work from home.

Other nurses who find themselves in the same situation as you would appreciate having a resource that talked about this.

If your niche is something you have a passion for, there should be a lot of quality content you could write.

If you are visually impaired you only see the name of that image so it is always a good idea to have as much descriptive text as possible. This also includes when creating videos. If you are typing something, please also tell what you are typing so that someone who is totally blind or visually impaired can fully participate. Many thanks!

Yes, good advice. This is done through the "alt tags" which you can manage as you add images to your website.

There is an alt tag manager within the SiteContent platform here at WA as well. :)

Thanks for that tip Kyle, really apreciated. However, the Site content tool is not that screen reader friendly onfurtunatly so most of my work will be done in WordPress. I am also going to focus on this when I explain to others who are visually impaired or blind what is the most accessible way to create good looking posts using Wordpress. One example, when you create your site for the first time and have to select a theme it is not that screen reader friendly. It is much easier to select themes directly in Wordpress.

How do I choose a direction that works well for me? I read the target audience tutorial, but the target audiences listed on the first page of the tutorial is overwhelming and I don't know which to choose. Can I choose more than one target audience? What do some of these target audiences mean such as entrepreneur programs, Google content network, data entry, etc.?

I'm on the same boat as you and it has been a challenge to find my niche. I will say, try not to force yourself to figure something out right now. Continue through the training and your're mind will clear up as you go.

A tip I can make is, just start to think about this throughout the day as you go about your normal tasks. You'll start to find that you'll pick up on ideas while listening to the radio, audiobook, talking to people and something will click.

I'm just about there too. I feel like I'm just about settled on a niche for my site. Im currently continuing the training to reinforce my idea.

Hope that helps you.

Hey Jay-M - OK, as a help try thinking of a group of people you'd like to help - I can think of bed-bound people, chronic illness sufferers, people suffering with Duchenne or any other muscular dystrophy.
They don't HAVE to be business people - they just have to be people who you think would benefit doing what you're doing which is going through the WA training.

I would focus on just one audience to start, then you can expand later. Choosing an audience is important because it helps you get in the mindset of your readers. WHO do you want to help?

Someone looking to build income for retirement is in a different mindset than someone looking to travel and work from their laptop.

You can always tweak or expand your niche as your site grows. See what Kyle has to say on the topic:

Do some people not bother with a niche website and just build a website to promote WA?

Also, if you need 25 or 30 posts to get a website noticed, how can you possibly write that many posts about becoming a WA affiliate?

It looks like we are talking about two different things here. It seems most people on here would actually have at least two websites. One for a niche and one for promoting and selling the WA brand.
Reply
DJ66 Premium
You don't need to write 25 or 30 post specifically on becoming a WA affiliate. You can write articles about websites, hosting, SEO, other affiliate program reviews, etc. Just write stuff about affiliate marketing and making money online, and then link most of those posts back to your review of WA.

Hope this helps!

just wondering the privacy page you have on the video above does not look like the one I'm seeing when I click the template and my dashboard does not look like your dashboard to the left where it is showing the menus: activity dashboard, get started here, siterubix and affiliate bootcamp tabs..just want to make sure it is the correct privacy policy ..The about me template does look the same as yours though.
Reply

I had a similar too, Senna. It seems like Kyle edited his version of the Privacy Policy and create custom menus to suit the example website. The template should be more than enough for most websites getting started. You might want to add on some sections, depending on the type of business that you are trying to create.

I'm sorry to hear you are having some trouble getting your website set up. I might be able to help but I need to know a little more about the trouble you are having.

How far did you get before you got stuck?

You said that you chose a domain name and a title, did you choose a design or a theme?

Just go into the Training section at the left of your screen.

Probably your best bet is to then start on Level 1 of the Online Entrepreneur Certification course, of which there are 10 lessons.

By the end of lesson 4 you'll know exactly how to get your website up and running.

Good luck,

Hi Guys! So here I am with a music brand "Acoustic Attack" (You can find on Youtube).

Now the problem I was finding while trying to figure out how to monetize it is I am not a musician. I don't play instruments and i don't sing. I don't want to be writing articles to become an authority about music because...well im not.

But what I have done is help musicians think of ways to build their brand and maximize more revenue streams by considering more ways to make money online. But the only thing I've helped them with was merchandise.

After starting this training now Im thinking that maybe I should figure out how to promote affiliate marketing to struggling musicians?

Any advice about how to evolve this idea?
Reply

I'm not full of ideas at the moment, but I would say as someone with a lot of friends in the music industry: Musicians are often hurting for cash, so saving a buck always helps. Affiliate marketing has very low startup costs so I think it might be a good point worth mentioning.

Cheers

Hi there, Ryan! Working with musicians can be tricky, especially if you aren't a musician. But luckily, I trust that you have enough experience in your industry to present your knowledge in many ways.

Since your expertise is in photography and videography, you can use Acoustic Attack as a case study example to showcase how you helped to build their brand leveraging eCommerce?

If you are going to focus on struggling musicians, what is the genre of music and how does your expertise (photography/videography)
help them to hone their craft?

After visiting your YouTube channel, I came up with this idea.
- Create a website dedicated to indie music fans teaching them how to leverage their online presence using professional, high-quality videography.

You can niche it down even further if you choose. You don't have to rely on wordy articles for all your blogs because videography is your expertise. Position yourself as an expert in teaching videography or photography to "struggling musicians" to increase their brand awareness online and offline.

Let me know if this helps you in your brainstorming.

Hi Angelica, I love your idea, this gave me a better idea on how link my niche to promoting WA. I'm planning to do something on the lines of beauty, fashion, culture and self discovery.

One last thing that i'm still wondering is if i should use a personal branding or an entity branding?
Reply
AngelicaW11 Premium
Hi Winnie! I'm glad that I helped bring some clarity to your niching process. Your positioning for your brand depends on the ideal audience that you want to attract. Knowingly, your personal identity isn't going to be completely separate from your business, especially if you are the face of the brand.

Since you've mentioned self-discovery, I assume that you want to build an online business as a personal brand. If that's the case, your audience must understand your story, your personal journey and how the beauty industry has influenced you as a person to build an online business on this topic.

Even if you decide to build an online business as a personal brand, your business goal and your personal journey must communicate the same story to your audience.

Example: Ellen Degeneres = Kindness | Oprah = Inspiration

Hi there, Rebaone! There are A LOT of "internet marketing gurus" and "online marketing gurus" to go around. So please, focus on positioning yourself to be different from the pack. :-).

Regardless of what type of online business you are creating, you must remember that YOU are your brand. Your personal identity is never completely separate from your businesses. Yes, your business has an ideal person in mind that you are communicating your message to but it is YOU that your people connect with, not your logo or your fancy copy.

The most successful marketers in the world understand that tapping into emotions is what attracts and keeps attention online and offline. So if your ideal audience is "work from home parents" (I fit into this category), think about their daily lives and how can your expertise in affiliate marketing best serve them.

How can Wealthy Affiliate help work-from-home parents achieve their ideal lifestyle? What do you know to get them one step closer?

As for naming your brand/ business, check out Alexandra Watkins book, Hello, My Name Is Awesome: How to Create Brand Names That Stick.

I hope you found this information helpful.

I've been learning a lot of things about online marketing from WA, but I also have been working on educating myself on gaining the skills and experience required to be an entrepreneur or possibly a CEO of my own business in the future. My dream is to run a business that improves the lives of people and the ecosystem through advancements in technology, science, medicine, labor, social behavior, etc..

My business education will be completely self-taught, although I'm still contemplating taking online courses. I bought this book called "MBA: Mastering the Art of Business," which is a self-help guide on learning business without getting a college degree. I want people to follow my journey into becoming a great business leader and I want to somehow incorporate that into a niche that promotes Wealthy Affiliate.

I'm having a hard time deciding what niche or brand direction I should choose involving my business education plans. Does anyone have any ideas as to what direction I should take?

Right, you've got some ideas but you're not sure of the direction you want to go in.
You've given some clues: "advancements in technology, science, medicine, labor, social behavior etc." - let's say you were stuck in a hospital lift with one of the Shark Tank investors - which topic could/would you talk about in such a way that they would find interesting?
If you can choose one then that's the direction you'll be wanting to take - you know the subject (or you want to know more about it), you're confident enough to talk about it and you can talk about it in a way to keep complete strangers interested.

Hope that helps bud - give me a message if you want any more help

I have not decided what my niche should be, I find myself thinking of something, then all of a sudden I feel my niche became to broad. I do not want to create another Amazon site :)
I have thus decided to narrow down my options and use all my energy and focus into making WA my niche. Learn as I go along, start creating an income while I source my perfect niche.....and off course working towards Las Vegas.
Reply

Yeah, you definitely don't want to create Amazon, you want to be much more narrow with your niche.

If you want to promote WA and work within the "make money niche", go through the Affiliate Bootcamp training. If you want to build a business within another niche, head through the Get Started Here training.

Focus on just one though. You are going to be much more successful if you focus on one business/website versus trying to do too many things at once. You can always diversify down the road.

Hope this helps you out here Inge!

I really want to target stay at home moms and dads since that is becoming more of the "social norm" for some families. I have fibromyalgia and can no longer work in a "normal" work setting. sitting, standing, laying, anything for too long just makes the pain worse especially during flare ups. So I stay home and take care of my kids. Being a stay at home parent is actually far more difficult than most people realize. Your work doesn't end till the little ones go to bed and even then it sometimes doesn't stop. So I want to target stay at home parents and maybe bring chronic illnesses that you cannot just look at someone and see as well? Do you think that there is place for something like this?

I think that is a great niche. My brother in law has MD. He is severe but his brain is still good. I think if you can find a way to encourage these types of people to try an online business it will boost their self esteem and give them something to look forward to each day. How awesome is it to wake up and check your bank account to see that you made money while sleeping?
For the stay at home parents it is also a great idea because it gives them a sense of pride helping the family bring in an income and the little ones can see what you do and be proud. Kids mimic everything. They are sponges and what better milk to soak up than being an entrepreneur.

Hi Arun,

It'll be hard to convert anyone if you connected your e-commerce shops to promoting WA because they are not in the same niche.

Here, you will learn through the Affiliate Bootcamp course how to build a website that drives its own free highly targeted traffic from search engines to promote WA.

It's the same course I took and I make a full time income promoting them.

I suggest you take promoting WA as a separate business because it's highly competitive and will take a lot of your efforts to make this work.

If you chose a niche closer to what your ecom stores are about, then you may be able to build a website that drives its own traffic to your own shops!

So I think that is much better path for you, and if you agree, then you need to take the first course, Online Entrepreneur Certification course.

I hope this helps you,
Grace

My best advice to you Arun is to pick ONE thing and make a success out of it before you do other things. You sound like you have several things going on but are any of it making the money you want from it? If not, then that's because you're not concentrating on one thing.

You seem to have a lot of interests but starting a bunch of things aren't going to make you money any faster.

An online business has a better chance of being a success if you have all your efforts into making it success first.

The training here will teach you that you should be niching down and not have a general topic as your online business.

Start with the training on the left menu under "Training" and choose the course that fits your niche. If you're promoting WA, then use Affiliate Bootcamp, if you're doing anything else, use OEC course.

Just pick one, not both. You should just pick one business to start and work on it til it makes you the kind of money you want to see from it then start another one after that.

I can't choose for you unfortunately, this is one you must decide yourself. Choose the one you want most to work on, the most you LIKE.

Hi Celeste!

As Robert says, it probably is best to complete one before moving onto the other. However, in my case I had just finished Level 1 of OEC when I was accepted into the Super Affiliate Challenge.

This prompted me to turn my attention to Affiliate Bootcamp and that is now getting most of my attention. However, there is a great deal of common ground and I think 4 of the level 1 videos are common to both branches of training.

I would actually recommend that you finish Level 1 of each training before fully committing yourself to one branch or the other.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Best Wishes,

To be a beginner, when you have to write a review I think is the best thing because you are free to talk about it without barriers predefined by the environment around you and the experince of the others , you will be more realistic. Base your judgment from how do you feel it, which are your sensations using the platform or interacting with people and how much value do you had in the few time you've been here. This is the most genuine review ... and in the future you can adjusted it based on your new feelings and thoughts at that time.

I have included a sign-in link to a landing page not directly to my WA link. How do I work on such a form?

Hi Dave,

I have noticed that reviews of other similar affiliate marketing programs convert the best to WA. Reviews of companies such as Awol Academy, Legendary Marketer, Rory Ricord, etc.

You can choose the direction your site freely. If your main focus will be promoting WA, I'd recommend talking a lot about affiliate marketing on the site because that's what they teach here in the training. So, the flow of relevance will be good.

Is there anything I need to do with my PayPal account apart from signing up for a personal account on PayPal UK?

Do I need to verify anything on PayPal like the mobile number provided during the sign up process?if so, tell me how.

Do I need a business account on PayPal UK to get paid for promoting WA through my website?

if I don't get paid what can I do?

All companies pay differently, most offer at minimum check payment. For example here at Wealthy Affiliate we pay via Paypal as our primary payment method, but we can also pay via check if you reach over a certain threshold. :)

As I said though, every company is different and they will state how they pay when you become part of their affiliate program.

I am in the UK as well and its a pretty straightforward process with PayPal.

I just received an email from them to verify and that was all.

If you just want to use PP for Wealthy Affiliate then I wouldn't bother about a Business Account but of course if you become very successful then a business account is an option to think about.

I watched the first of the boot camp lessons. I don' know if I will get to excited about drumming up more affiliates. I have never been persuasive. But it if turns out that is what I have to do to make money, then I'll do it. For now I will hope for 5 per week. Is anyone out there at about the same place as I am. We could talk.
Reply
sbroom13 Premium
Its going to take some time to even get 5 per week. Its not really about being persuasive but about applying what you learned and others seeing that. They see they you are being successful and they want to be successful as well. It practically sells itself because they have already convinced themselves and you didn't really have to sell at all.

Hi Kyle, Many thanks for this lesson. After activating the plugins on my website (imrd.com), the All in One SEO pack brought up a message in red (upgrade to pro).
I don't know what to do. Should I upgrade? Is this upgrade part of the premium membership benefit or what? Do I have to upgrade? Am I okay with the way it is now.
Sorry for the many questions, it's just that I want to be clear with what I am doing so that I will be able to advise any other person in similar situation

Most plugins will have an upgrade option but it isn't necessary for you to do so unless you want to use more advanced features.

Regarding the "direction" that I want to go, I found myself naturally gravitating towards providing INTERNET MARKETING TOOLS to RETIRED INDIVIDUALS. I chose Internet Marketing Tools so that the retirees would have the possibility to choose those tools that build on their professional orientation, experience, competences and areas of interest.

First and foremost, this is not just a money-making adventure for me but a real issue of concern for me personally as I am about to join this demographic without much certainty as to how my future will be taken care of. Financial security and financial freedom is a topic of great concern (and therefore interest) to me. I believe so many other people are in this predicament and need help urgently!

The target audience is actually individuals who are about to retire or have already retired. One attractive option for this group for "investing" their retirement income would be having reliable and sustainable income streams to assure them of having a comfortable life after retirement. Online business does not require much physical exertion (and just what the doctor ordered) for us the aging type. This group could also have some disposable income (from their terminal benefits or savings) to invest in a program such as WA if I can convince them of the long term benefits.

Could I please have some feedback regarding:

1. The precision of my choice of direction
2. The match between the target audience and the offer
3. Any other suggestions to sharpen my "direction and focus"

Thank you all in anticipation of your valuable assistance.

Josh

I think that's a great niche choice and you seem to be headed in the right direction. Your target audience is a critical one since so many fall into the baby boomer category.

As for sharpening your "direction and focus," the WA lessons will definitely help you do that. As you follow the step-by-step training in sequence, you will learn how to find the right keywords and create quality content, which will help streamline your niche even more.

Be sure to ask for help if you have any questions. Best wishes to your success.

I think your niche is really good due to many of retiring people has some financial issues. You will have an audience.
You should focus to my mind on how your site will differ from others who offer online business training? What is the specifics of elderly people in the field? What is the mentality of baby boomers that makes them different from younger people and how will you use it to reach your audience.
Great niche, you just need to play it right.

You pick a niche that is much focus to drive you into this business.
I am in the bracket of people too. However, where I am now we don't have much social security. And our country has an aging populace. Yes, I too want to target this niche to help my people or any others -retirees or about to. Such a passive income will at least do 2 things for these people in our niche - a) they do not lose their self-image as to feel redundant and dependent b) they can still be mentally active working over the internet and expressing their views and interacting with online associates.
Keep at Josh...I will join you along the track

I have found it very difficulty to decide what I want particularly around a theme or brand for my business. And it obviously makes it harder when aiming in a direction with a single focus. At the moment I have a "retail" type website through WA so i think it wouldn't be appropriate to promote WA on there.
Whereas I do have another domain outside WA that could be used for business related promotions and opportunity so I am torn between developing and promoting the product type site or the WA business opportunity elsewhere.
Any tips will be gratefully received from anyone else like me who seems to lack clear focus.

You can add these custom menus to organize your top menu in any way in which you like, as well as create sub-menus (for themes that will support this). You can also use these custom menus to add within your side widgets on your website (within your sidebar).

At the time i started setting it up I had the idea of creating a website for helping others, who like myself struggle to get leads, hence the name superleadbrand. My question here is, while trying to find information on building a WordPress website I have come across the WA community and now going through this training I just want to ask:
1. Do you guys think this is a good niche/path to take?
2. Would I be able to transfer my domain name to my WA website or should I leave it as it is and just get on with building it?
Thanks for any feedback, sorry this is a bit of an essay for some to read.

I see my friends struggling to get by when I know that something like this would be the answer to their prayers. Do you think it would be too broad for me to find my niche in Performers or Artists?

wow... this is huge brother, go for it. i don't know what kind of artistry you practice, but i am into music so i totally understand the struggle. The thing is, a lot of artists out there are trapped in the old way or methods with guards to how they promote their art.

i often like to say "it takes an artist to identify the struggles of artists". Your train of thought is very right my brother. it is a very big niche. It's a niche i want to give back to down the road in my career online.

Yes it is a very broad niche. if i were you, i'll pretty much narrow it dawn to my specific genre of art then gradually spread to other related areas of interest once I've built authority. This is quite consistent with WA's style of training and it is one of the many things that makes this platform thick. A perfect training system that fits everything.

Once again, GO FOR IT! YOU WILL MAKE IT!

Hi all :)

I would like to create a website dedicated to mental health. Still in 2019 it is not fully understood.

I am not a mental health professional however I would like to create an environment to let people know they are not alone and feel motivated to continue on.

The idea is not to provide diagnosis or to be a source of medical information. I would instead like to create a place where people suffering from mental health problems can go to, to see that they are not weird and maybe just maybe feel some positivity.

Any suggestions/constructive criticism would be gratefully received.

Thoughts on this name:

retireeandwealthyaffiliate

My thought process is that as soon people start preparing for retirement or even think about retirement, the "I wonder if we can afford to go on that cruise" or "Can we afford to fly the grandchildren up to visit now"...thoughts ensue.

"Retiree and Wealthy Affiliate" An oxymoron that may draw the people I'm targeting...What do you think?

Thank you.

I wouldn't recommend using Wealthy Affiliate, the trademark, within your own domain. It isn't because we are particularly stringent on this, rather it is because it can present two immediate issues with your business moving forward.

(1) You cannot brand yourself because you have someone else's trademark in your domain name.

(2) It immediately makes you look biased, so if you are planning on promoting WA it can make this much more difficult.

So, if you choose to promote a product, your niche is that product (or anything associated with it); if you choose WA affiliate program - then your niche is a certain group of people (taken by age or profession or specific customs or whatever stand them out from the general crowd). If that is so (?) - than how broad it should be?
Reply
Dale123 Premium
As an example, "dogs" would be too broad of a niche as it would be hard to determine exactly what the visitors arriving at your site are wanting - whereas "dog dental care" would be ideal, because you now know exactly what they're specifically looking for. So just narrow it down enough until you can confidently know what your visitors want :)

Thanks. But if we are more specific - I am thinking of targeting the groups of people consisting of
- Retired Individuals
- High Salary Employees that Want More
- Passive Income Seekers
- People Who Vacation Lots (like the freedom) and alike who may benefit from WA training. How to put it properly? Is it too big of a group and should be narrowed? Or otherwise? Is there enough potential?

There’s most certainly enough potential there - you’re on the right track :)

Wow a lot of information and hoping I do this right! I wanted to use the niche Affiliate marketing for Beginners, as I am just a beginner. I read Robert-A's comment about SEO for keywords and I am a bit lost there as to what he is talking about; is that for paid keyword search?

Sure, that is definitely the direction that you can head. SEO is Search Engine Optimization, meaning that you get ranked in Google and other search engines (Yahoo and Bing) for free...but this is based on how you optimize your website and content.

This is going to be the primary focus in the early stages of the training.

I would just put your first name there - I put Steve in mine. It's unlikely that it will ever be even read by any of your visitors.

I want to become financially independent, and in return help others do the same. In doing this, I will love seeing others pull out of ruts and be able to support themselves, their families and help others if they so desire. How do i brand this? I am supper new so please help :-)

Who specifically do you want to help, as in the type of people that you want to help? Everyone wants MORE money so that is not really a niche.

Your target audience/niche can be anything. Choosing your niche, is in essence choosing an audience that you want to help. If you want to come up with some ideas for your bootcamp website, you should check out the following tutorial. There are many directions that you can head and many ways in which you will be able to efficiently promote Wealthy Affiliate to different audiences.

If you want to run any of your ideas by us after you have selected your niche, we would be happy to take a look as well.

I am at the part of my review to show proof of income. My question is, What happens If I put a link on my post that goes to someone elses post about a milestone that they just achived and they click on that persons link to go to wealthy affiliate training?

You don't have to sell WA based on "proof of income". We are a platform that offers all the vital services, tools, and platforms one needs to actually create a business online. Someone else's success isn't tied to your success.

I really think you have done a fine job here.

I recommend that you use more visuals within your content. Most people are visual by nature and when you create content, you should have associated images that reflect what you are talking about.

This will lead to more engagement, a higher reader rate, and as a result, more conversions.

Building the website was fun! The hardest task was choosing the theme. Since it is to be a wellness site, I wanted it to look serene and peaceful. Choosing a domain name worked out great and here it is: livingwithfibromyalgiadailyoilsblog.com I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in November of 2016 and since the pain from that condition and arthritis had pretty much forced me to call it quits as far as working in a regular office, I can now help people with this life draining disease by sharing what I've learned with tips in my blog.

Sure, you can head in that direction and if you are I recommend that you go through the Certification training instead of the Bootcamp training.

My target market is people that want to make money from anywhere. More specifically, people who want to travel full time. My wife and I have been traveling by RV for 2 1/2 years and it is amazing. We have recurring revenue from another business however we still need to be available to people from time to time. Affiliate marketing can provide a more passive income stream. BTW, as I write this, we are outside Big Bend National Park where we will be spending 30 days before moving further north for this summer.

Thanks Tracey. It really is a great way to live. I feel my core message will resonate with people that want to live a nomadic as well as those who do not. I say this because when we meet people all the time that ask were we are from. When I tell them we travel full time, the one thing I notice time and again is how they get this amazing look in their eyes just imagining what that must feel like to have that type of freedom. In fact, it just happened yesterday. We were in Big Bend National Park. We came upon a gentleman that was sitting bench enjoying the view. He casually asked where we were from. I replied for the next month, we're from right here because we travel full time. It was fun to see the wheels turning in his head imagining what that would be like.

Gosh, I went and got two domains when I set up for the SAC...because I didn't want anyone else getting my beautiful music domain name that I've wanted in like, forever. So now I have two websites...
Also working on both trainings. I guess that's not recommended, but I work on the OEC one day, the AB the next.
If I get overwhelmed, I will just work on AB, as promoting WA is what I want to do.

No harm in having as many Domain Names as you want Kathleen.
Just 'Park' them and work on one at a time.
This is always best until one is actually making you some money.
Enjoy your Wednesday.

My Affiliate Goals in terms of Referrals.
Today I kick started my Boot Camp training. Yesterday marked my six months here at Wealthy Affiliate. And I think I am ready to go here. I have total of 408 starter Referrals and 2 premium Referrals. With this training I am aiming to increase my total Referrals to 1000 in the next six months of my training and accomplishment here at WA.

The Las Vegas Conference in 2020!
Making to the Las Vegas Conference is anybody's game here at WA. I dedicated my first year member at WA to training and building and networking. If I don't make it in 2020 I will work extra hard to meke it to LVC in 2021.

I wish you all the very best in your Boot Camp training and success in your journey to the LAC coming 2020.

Cheers!

Paul.
