OK, awesome. You now have your target audience, in other words, the direction for your brand chosen. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfect" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big PIECE today, your website. We are going to be taking our brand/audience idea and building out a website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate.

We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to build your website (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the Website platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate,

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate revenue!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

You can access the SiteBuilder from the main Websites menu here at WA.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build ONE FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 10 websites (including websites on your own domain). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "brand". In this step, I am going to be placing my brand name into the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "Marketing With Kyle" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "marketingwithkyle".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: marketingwithkyle.siterubix.com
Title: Marketing With Kyle

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

You are going to notice that there are many other website features allocated within the SiteRubix menu. I don't want to eat up too much of your time here, but it is important that you understand the incredible benefits of the SiteRubix platform.

I hope that the records are correct. I am repeatedly being asked to update to update to premium, I did that when I first became a member. Kyle along with many others sent me notes of congratulations for the upgrade, but I still get notices almost everyday to upgrade. Please check this out.
Warm regards,
Raymond

Hi - it looks as though you have 2 accounts. This is a free starter account. You have a premium account under the user name of RScholz1.

I presume you have used 2 different email addresses. You need to log out of this account and log in to the correct one.
Reply
I do not know how that happened. Do you cancel this account and I log back in on my RScholz1 premium account and and go from there? Thank you for your help.

I highly suggest you do what I am about to suggest.

In the magnifying glass above; click it; in the search bar; type in Kyle and leave a message about your problem on his page.

Then do the same for Carson.

I have been told they are busy; so it is best to ask both.

For sure they can solve this.

I'm understanding the process much clearer now I see it unfold. It is 'fun' as described and with regular use I guess the unkown 'technical' side will become less daunting. If I had some kind of IT training before, I guess my fingers would be moving at lightening speed! Lol :-)

Yes, the technical stuff will become straight forward and second nature as you continue to "immerse" yourself in the process of building a website.

Efficiency comes with practice!

I'm thinking along the lines of targeting for people that want to learn how to make money on the internet to get out of their current job situation. I have friends and family working their "hind ends off" for places like Walmart, and it's nearly killing them.

I worked for Walmart for just over a year and it sent me further into the disabled list. A friend of mine worked for Walmart for over ten years and she did many different jobs. I remember she was always running around the store like a chicken with its head cut off. It took a toll on her body as well. Now she has a sit down job at our local court house.

My son works in receiving and unloads the trucks. He's only 36 and with his bad back, he comes home in pain all the time. I also have a cousin that just retired early because of the pain caused by working at Walmart. She was an assistant manager.

So, my target audience is going to be for people working at jobs that's killing them. However, I need some ideas for the niche. Please, does anyone have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.

Kind Regards,

Thea

Absolutely, plenty of people in that situation that can leverage the Internet to build a business online...they could even promote Walmarts own affiliate program (and that could be an introduction to affiliate marketing that you could leverage to help them make sense of it).

So I definitely do like the direction you are heading here and this is a significant audience!

For me, I think I won't change a lot from the example given above...
The direction I am going to be choosing for my business is: "Helping people become Successful Affiliate Marketers". And the brand name to be: "Sure Deal Affiliate". What do you think guys? Please help me with this, because if I mess up at the beginning, then it won't work.

You know what; I would keep the business name and brand name the same; or very similar; because your audience may not know what you mean by "Sure Deal Affiliate". I am just saying; you audience may not understand what that means exactly.

So, I highly suggest to you; to keep the brand name and the business name the same; or very similar. Hope this helps?

It sounds nice but it's too long I think.
Try something shorter, like Successful affiliates or Affiliate program for beginners..
When is shorter it's easier to remember, therefore easier to be branded.
