OK, awesome. You now have your target audience, in other words, the direction for your brand chosen. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfect" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big PIECE today, your website. We are going to be taking our brand/audience idea and building out a website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate.

We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to build your website (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the Website platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate,

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate revenue!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

You can access the SiteBuilder from the main Websites menu here at WA.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build ONE FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 3 websites (including websites on your own domain). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

As a Premium Plus+ member, you will be able to build and host up to 10 websites!

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "brand". In this step, I am going to be placing my brand name into the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "Marketing With Kyle" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "marketingwithkyle".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: marketingwithkyle.siterubix.com
Title: Marketing With Kyle

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

After much thinking and reading, I think I should start promoting wealthy affiliate to enable me get dip understanding of how affiliate marketing is done after which I can gradually move to creating a niche for myself. I love farming I think a niche in this sector will be ideal probably rabbit rearing or catfish rearing.
However my desired niche in wealthy affiliate is website hosting (expired domain).
Please what advice do you have for me on both suggestions?
Angell70 Premium
Hi Idowu, they've taught us like this:
"the recommendation is doing ONE niche at a time. We always recommend starting out with your own niche vs the affiliate Bootcamp (make money online niche) as the latter is a lot harder and more competitive you would need to write 300 to 400 articles before you are able to scratch the surface. We also recommend you do the whole coursework in its entirety before commencing on your own site.!"

Pls feel free to do what you are considering and, pls feel free to ask anything, anyone, anytime
Blessings to you&family;

I really thought making money online (MMO) i.e affiliate Bootcamp will be easier to learn the rudiments and to make money while learning before starting with my niche.
But you didn't comment on my niche if the direction is good.
I feel I still need to work more on my niche (rabbit farming/catfish farming).

I'm just starting out and am on Level 1 Lesson 2. I already have a good idea of my niche which has been my profession (personal and community development) for the past 25 years up to the present. This is my passion and thus a natural niche for me. However, my guess is that it will take a lot more time to develop and promote than promoting 'Wealthy Affiliate'. Would it be better if I concentrated on promoting 'Wealthy Affiliate' for now and put developing my niche website on hold until I have more time?
DValentine Premium
Hey there David - are there any aspects of community development that would benefit from learning how to build an online presence? If there is then you could target that particular segment as your audience to promote WA to.
In personal development you could target an audience with low self-confidence on how to create their very own piece of virtual real estate that is all their own work - even if it is no more than an online journal (for an example)
As to time differences - I think they are both on a par level at the moment

At the beginning of joining WA, I created a domain name/ built a website as a starter member. Now, as a premium member, I just created another domain name on the free domain but i selected a theme of my choice. My question is: Can I be using both sites to promote my Affiliate Boot Camp referral link or abandon the starter membership site which I first created and stick only to the premium membership site(s). I am aware of the fact that a premium member is entitled to as many websites as possible. However, i just want to concentrate on one or two sites now, being a beginner Please, I need your advice.

You only needing the ONE site going forward, So yes I choose the best of the two and discard the other.

You may start with a siterubix subdomain around a focused niche and build up content and until you are happy with your niche and name, down the line have your own dot com, as some affiliate programs do not work with a subdomain. Cost of which is $14 yearly each privacy included. You can then move your siterubix to your dot com applying the move feature found within the site manager, an easy process.

As a premium you can host up to 10 sites (a mix of siterubix and premiums however totalling 10)

I think my original idea for a target audience was too wide. I'm thinking of narrowing down to teachers who want to leave education and have another income source or maybe narrow down further to teachers who are retiring (I'm an ex teacher). Any thoughts on this would be welcome :)

Teacher extra income, or income after retirement. Both are directions that you could head, and of course you make your "brand" whatever you like covering this topic, but this could be the audience that you initially focus on.

Your Initial Framework Of Content

I followed this paragraph and video,
Check off the Robots Meta NOINDEX and the Robots Meta NOFOLLOW. These will make sure this page (which is all duplicate content) does not get indexed in Google. The Privacy Policy is the ONLY page you want to do this for as it is duplicate content.

but it doesn't exist in WordPress site! can you please help me?
TheAbie Premium Plus

You can access a template in site content

and there's also another by default under your Pages tab, WordPress sites back office.

I believe nowadays it is okay for it to do so.

Thank you

In the Privacy Policy template, I wish if there is an input field for replacing website COM, website owner name and email automatically instead of manually. Just to make it easier and quicker.
Everything you have it in wealthy affiliate is fine, it surprises me there is no input field for Privacy Policy even the website since 2000s
TheAbie Premium Plus
Right, it does not take long to get it done manually, however I hear you.

Would be nice to hear how you are getting along. Much obliged and best wishes.

Yeah, there is SOME work involved in building out that content. Do a search and replace on your computer and you will be able to update the few spots where there is the placeholder URL in less than a minute.
