OK, awesome. You now have your target audience, in other words, the direction for your brand chosen. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfect" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big PIECE today, your website. We are going to be taking our brand/audience idea and building out a website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate.

We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to build your website (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the SiteRubix platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

DISCUSS VIDEO: Building Your Website in 30 Seconds, Literally

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate revenue!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host up to 2 FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 25 free websites and the ability to create 25 sites on your own domains (total 50 websites). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "brand". In this step, I am going to be placing my brand name into the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "real deal affiliate" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "realdealaffiliate".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: realdealaffiliate.siterubix.com
Title: Real Deal Affiliate

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to 12, hand picked quality designs.

As a Premium member, you will have access to over 2,464 designs (as shown below) on your website. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

It seems that choosing a niche isn't that easy for me. I've chosen beauty skin care but in reality I've no idea what to write about that in the training Site contents as I've no expertise on that matter. So let's say I wanted any issues that relates to diabetes as my niche, to help those who have diabetes, but have no experience or expertise on that matter. What should I do?

Use the internet for research. Things to eat as a diabetic, living with diabetes etc. or just google diabetes and see what comes up. Hope this helps.

Hi. My dad is prediabetic and was recently advised by his doctor to start the 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet by Dr Michael Moseley. The gist of it that it is possible to completely reverse type 2 diabetes by losing weight and in particular the weight that sits around your pancreas and liver as this is what inhibits the production of insulin. Dr Michael Moseley has written a book and recipe book called the 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet that explains it all in more detail and he talks about loads of people who have used the diet to completely reverse their diabetes and come off their medication. I think this is really exciting for type 2 diabetics and definitely worth writing about. Hope that helps xx

Hi,
Choosing a niche can be complex. But this is what I have being doing. I wrote down the areas I like or have an interest in. If I don't have any knowledge I do some research and then ask my girl friend what she thinks she has been help. I've also looked into to areas that I myself need help with personally I figure that will give me the edge to do the research, help myself and others at the same time, this part however ties into my line of work over the past 20 years.

What kind of work or activates have you been involved in?
Do you think there are people out there that would benefit from that information?
What do you have a passion for that has an audience or there isn't enough information out there and you can share your knowledge?

I hope this help in someway.

For someone that is new to marketing how would you go about writing an about page? I was thinking of outlining who my target audience is, highlighting their objectives for being on my page and sharing what my website can do for them. I was also going to talk about why I created my website and what I am hoping to achieve. Does this sound okay? Any other input would be great. Thanks so much!

I have two plug ins, not mentioned by Kyle, on my 'Installed Plugins' page. They are Classic Editor and Kraken Image Optimizer and they are both Activated already. 'All in One SEO Pack' was not on the page, so I searched for it, found it, added it and activated it. Have I done the right thing?

As I followed Kyle's video tutorial in Bootcamp and came to the 'Install Plugin' page, I think I would have found a link there and did a search there. It should also be discussed by Kyle in the Online Entrepreneur Certificated.

That's the best I can do for you. Good luck.

This can certainly be the case. Not always though, but you shouldn't be adding affiliate links right away to your website either.

You want a framework of content on your website first (15-20 post) before you start apply to affiliate programs. Many affiliate programs will review your website before approval so that is why.

I think my niche is going to be website marketing now do I have to choose just 1 audience to target because I can think of many different audiences that this could apply to e.g. local business owners, digital marketers, affiliate marketers, people interested in home businesses, people looking to pay off their mortgage etc.

Yes, you want one brand but the audience can be pretty widespread within that brand. There are many ways in which you can diversify as you build out your website.

Market Your Website

That could be your niche, but there of course could be 10,000's of things that you could discuss on your website as you build it out. :)
