OK, awesome. You now have your target audience, in other words, the direction for your brand chosen. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfect" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big PIECE today, your website. We are going to be taking our brand/audience idea and building out a website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate.

We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to build your website (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the Website platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate,

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate revenue!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

You can access the SiteBuilder from the main Websites menu here at WA.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build ONE FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 3 websites (including websites on your own domain). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

As a Premium Plus+ member, you will be able to build and host up to 10 websites!

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "brand". In this step, I am going to be placing my brand name into the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "Marketing With Kyle" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "marketingwithkyle".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: marketingwithkyle.siterubix.com
Title: Marketing With Kyle

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

Hello WA. I have a website built already. Now I am in the process of building another website with a different niche. When I go to the site content, and want go to " About me", the existing post about me of the earlier website is displayed. How do I post a new "About me" relevant to the new niche?

You can use the template found within site content

You may also need to empty browser cache refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

Would be nice to hear how you are getting along. Much obliged and best wishes.

Hi Felix,

I believe AbieAJ has shown how to fix the issue.

Regarding starting the new website... Are you sure you want to do that?
I mean, even one website keeps oneself busy.

You probably have your own reasons, but in my experience, it is not a good idea to start with a new website. Unless your original one generates revenue, or you have someone that works on the content.

Well, I am sure you have considered the Pros and Cons, and you are about to make the right decision.

Have a great weekend :)

Hello Abie,
Thanks a lot for your guidance. I followed what you wrote and bingo, I was able to get my Post and Page done. Thanks a lot for your help

Hi Michal,
I get what you mean. I first did the affiliate program as per the lessons given in WA. Later I found the Bootcamp and I felt more confident of earning from this. That is the reason I have done two websites. But as advised by you will stick on only with two until I start making some income. Thank you.

In the training video (at 2 minutes and 6 seconds) after logging into the back office the dash board comes up and the website name (Basket Skills and Drills) appears in the top left hand corner. When I do this with my website in the top left hand corner it comes up with Step By Step Affiliate Marketing. It does not show my website name. Why am I seeing Step By Step Affiliate Marketing and not my website name.

So I would love some input for my WA affiliate side. I've been coaching female coaches and course creators for many years. I'm wondering if I could use my audience as a target audience for additional online income streams?

What do you think? Do I need to be more defined or can I simply weave WA into my existing business and put the "extra online income stream" as a spin / direction?

Angell70 Premium
Hi Nika, I think you can do whatever you want to do. And this is a great idea!
But, the eldest in here recommend that 1 niche=1 website and ONE niche at a time. We always recommend starting out with own niche vs the affiliate Bootcamp (make money online niche) as the latter is a lot harder and more competitive you would need to write 300 to 400 articles before you are able to scratch the surface. We also recommend you do the whole coursework in its entirety before commencing on your own site.
Pls let me know when needing help or having further questions.

I understand this actually. Maybe I had my wires crossed as I thought the affiliate bootcamp is more about promoting the actual WA affiliate opportunity.

I have already build my first affiliate site in a different niche in this last week. So my question is geared around promoting WA to a niched audience. Does this make sense?

DValentine Premium
Hi Nika
Are you thinking of promoting WA to your own coaching clients? If so, that may throw up a few problems

1) WA is designed to take newbies from scratch through the whole process of building an online business thus when, in your own coaching schedule, would you introduce WA?
2) If you're thinking of promoting WA as a 'side hustle' then your own audience may not be the best as WA's own coaching may not gel with your coaching methods.
3) A question of choice - would your targeted clientele want to spend money on 2 forms of coaching; yours and WA's? Could you end up 'losing' clients to WA or would the commissions from WA outweigh your costs?

I hope that helps with you making a decision

After much thinking and reading, I think I should start promoting wealthy affiliate to enable me get dip understanding of how affiliate marketing is done after which I can gradually move to creating a niche for myself. I love farming I think a niche in this sector will be ideal probably rabbit rearing or catfish rearing.
However my desired niche in wealthy affiliate is website hosting (expired domain).
Please what advice do you have for me on both suggestions?

Hi Idowu, they've taught us like this:
"the recommendation is doing ONE niche at a time. We always recommend starting out with your own niche vs the affiliate Bootcamp (make money online niche) as the latter is a lot harder and more competitive you would need to write 300 to 400 articles before you are able to scratch the surface. We also recommend you do the whole coursework in its entirety before commencing on your own site.!"

Pls feel free to do what you are considering and, pls feel free to ask anything, anyone, anytime
Blessings to you&family;

I really thought making money online (MMO) i.e affiliate Bootcamp will be easier to learn the rudiments and to make money while learning before starting with my niche.
But you didn't comment on my niche if the direction is good.
I feel I still need to work more on my niche (rabbit farming/catfish farming).
Shabunti Premium
