Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to build your website (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the SiteRubix platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

DISCUSS VIDEO: Building Your Website in 30 Seconds, Literally

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate revenue!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build ONE FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 10 websites (including websites on your own domain). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "brand". In this step, I am going to be placing my brand name into the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "real deal affiliate" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "realdealaffiliate".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: realdealaffiliate.siterubix.com
Title: Real Deal Affiliate

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

Just starting my WA affiliate site, just wondering if it is OK to put Links in my first post, I am writing a review on WA.

It was just when we done the other training it was advised not to put links in until you had a few posts done

Well, I can say for this; if you are doing a review of The Wealthy Affiliate; stick to that. You don't want to have potential customers getting confused. And it would sort of look bad. If you are doing a review of The Wealthy Affiliate and putting other Affiliates.

Now, I will say here; and I am just going to say; I am trying to help a Member doing a Review of The Wealthy Affiliate.

I would advise putting Wealthy Affiliate Links. I would advise for this. Don't put links to other Companies. Only to The Wealthy Affiliate.

Hope this helps? No Offense meant.

No offense taken Michael but I was only talking about WA affiliate links, I should have been more clear.

I am a bit confused and have a question about Duplicate content?

Is it ok to have Duplicate content on your own website and for it not to be the same as other websites? Or should you also have no Duplicate content on your own website and for it not to be the same as other websites too?

(Basically does Duplicate content apply for your own website or does it apply for all the other websites out there).

Also, it made me think, how does the Duplicate content checker actually work... Does it just check if your content is Duplicate from your own website or does it compare to see if your content is Duplicate against all websites.

Anyway, if anyone can help me out with this, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your help.

Brian.

Hi, that's a great question.

I recently made some research, because I was also confused about that. And I think lots of people have no idea how the duplicates content applies...

Anyway, based on what I know, the duplicate apply only from your own website.
If you write a content similar to another one on your website, Google will not index it, as Google will consider the first one as the original.

But if you write an article similar to another one from another website, Google won't rank it, as Google will consider that you aren't providing any value, but you're just submitting something that already exists.

I think the duplicate checker here at WA checks if your content is similar to any article on the internet. That's how it works.

It wouldn't make any sense to check only duplicate content from your own website.

Hope it helps.

Cheers

Hey there Warly10,

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Also, I have continued researching this question myself and found that Google actually doesn't like it if you have duplicate content on your own website or others.

I found the answer here, where Kyle answers the question, plus there is a link to Google, actually defining what they see as duplicate content themselves, and its the same answer. But thanks for replying to my question. It is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian.

That is a huge range of audience. I don't know I think I 'll go for the "Laid Off Employees" because of the economic effect of the Pandemi Covid-19 many have lost the jobs and looking for new opportunity also could be "Low Salary Employees" who looking for passive/extra income to improve their lives. Any suggestions!

That was not an easy TASK.
I could not for the life of me, put in KEYWORDS.
I'll restudy the earlier lesson on SEO and keywords and such.
and come back to this exercise. I must admit I was a bit GLIB
and "KNOW BEST" while on that earler lesson.
Thanks for this work out. I did fall off the hoarse. I found my hat. I'll dust myself off and get back in the saddle.
