OK, awesome. You now have your target audience, in other words, the direction for your brand chosen. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfect" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big PIECE today, your website. We are going to be taking our brand/audience idea and building out a website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the SiteRubix platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

DISCUSS VIDEO: Building Your Website in 30 Seconds, Literally

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate revenue!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host up to 2 FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 25 free websites and the ability to create 25 sites on your own domains (total 50 websites). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "brand". In this step, I am going to be placing my brand name into the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "real deal affiliate" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "realdealaffiliate".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: realdealaffiliate.siterubix.com
Title: Real Deal Affiliate

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to 12, hand picked quality designs.

As a Premium member, you will have access to over 2,464 designs (as shown below) on your website. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

You are going to notice that there are many other website features allocated within the SiteRubix menu. I don't want to eat up too much of your time here, but it is important that you understand the incredible benefits of the SiteRubix platform.

The powerful hosting you have access to here is unparalleled in the Managed Wordpress hosting industry. We truly specialize here in providing a secure, robust and FAST platform for you to run your website.

We know that your website IS your business, and it is important that you have the most advanced technology to keep your business operating at 100% at all times of the day.

The following are just some of the powerful features included within the SiteRubix platform here at WA.

  • SiteManager (Starter & Premium)
  • SiteContent (Starter & Premium)
  • SiteBuilder (Starter & Premium)
  • SiteDomains (Starter & Premium)

To make your sites secure and fast, we have some SiteRubix EXCLUSIVE technologies to make sure your websites are operating at lightening speeds, but also in a very secure way that protects you from hackers, spammers, and all forms of erroneous attacks.

There you have it, the low down of the SiteRubix platform and you have your website officially up and running online. Exciting stuff. As we move forward within the training we are going to be building out your website content, and working to get indexed and ranked in Google (and do so for free).

Tasks 1/3 completed
2. Choose a Domain (either free or buy your own)
3. Build Your Website Using the SiteRubix SiteBuilder

For this time I must publish 5-10 posts. If these my posts are sections of the WA promotion bridge to my audience, please tell me the content elements, i.e. a few hints. Well there are a lot of themes out there. Choose a theme that is simple, ideally with a white background and black text (as this is the most readable).

I tend to avoid themes with too many bells and whistles as the focus of your website will be your content and your content will make your website look visually appealing to your audience.

So choose something simple, yet elegant and if you ever need to change down the road, you can easily do so within Appearance => Themes.

There are over 3,000 to choose from there and you will also be able to upload your own from there.

I have created some training on how to do this that you should check out:

Your niche ideas are definitely viable directions for your niche. You need to choose one when starting out, what are you most passionate about?

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Hello, I'm struggling to find a niche/brand for to start out with. I know that I should pursue and an area that interest me, but quite frankly I'm unsure of what that may be......I'm interested in trading forex on online, learning about finance - in particular being a certified financial advisor (which means that I have to pass the Series 7/63 exams). I studied CCNA in the past to design networks.

So I don't know how to brand my interest. Any suggestion or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Looking for some advice. I have been working on an affiliate niche website, and am now interested in this side of things.

I am looking at a target audience of me. I have a good job, but I am looking for more flexibility and financial freedom. I want to work on my terms, take time off when I want to, not when my boss says I can. I want to work from home and set my own hours. I am tired of the 45 - 60-minute commute to work each way. My job is just okay, I don't enjoy it, but it pays the bills, and I want more than that. There has got to be more right?

I am married with 2 teenagers, and I would love to have more time for everyone. I have been in the trenches for 20 years and am definitely interested in making money online and helping others who are in a similar position.

So people like me, men and women looking for freedom and flexibility and something that I might actually enjoy :) I am not sure how to narrow this down more, or what I would focus on exactly. That is where I need some help.

Trying keyword search for the first time in Lesson 8, but my Jaxxy screen is not populating the QSR column. Instead, there are links under the KQI column that say "Get QSR". I have to click on each link to get the info in both columns.

In the video, all of the columns automatically populate with each search. What am I missing?

Just click on the QSR for the keyword that you want to see. Jaaxy will only auto populate the QSR if you upgrade with them. The version that most of us use does not auto populate the QSR.

I'm a bit confused about putting in our Affiliate/Call to action links on only our second post. I read this other blog: "Whenever I am building a niche website that will have affiliate links on it, I ALWAYS wait until the the site is ranking on the 1st page for at least one keyword BEFORE adding any affiliate links.
Why? Because it builds trust with Google.
They won’t rank a new website that has a bunch of affiliate links on it. Google wants to see a site with quality content before it ranks a website.
- quote by Jay Neil / Magistudios"
QUESTION 1: Does this only apply to Online Certification Course Niche websites?
QUESTION 2: What about sites like mine that only promote Wealthy Affiliate, when should I include affiliate links?

I think I am going to make my site dedicated to helping people get out of the pay check to paycheck daily grind cycle through passive incomes and money management. According to T. I am hoping to get some feedback and assistance on this topic. I would like to focus on professionals that are currently employed but are looking for the freedom of generating their income through affiliate marketing. The kws i have come up with are either too generic or so narrow as to have little traffic. "Get out of the rat race", "how to quit your job with affiliate marketing"," affiliate website income" .... Having a hard time picking kws that target my audience and that are within the 400 search results in google. Am I over thinking this or is my target audience too narrow? Any assistance of guidance will be appreciated.

Yes, a direction you can head. I would consider coming up with a relevant brand to this. And don't worry about keywords, there will be 10,000's that you can target within any niche direction that you choose.

When you choose a domain, you are going to want to choose something that is "brandable" versus something that has keywords within it. The reason this is the case is because as you build out your website, you can target as many keywords as you like within the content (that is how you will rank).

I have created a discussion here outlining the process and what to look for when choosing a domain name: This should help you out here and if you ever want to run any domains by me, simply let me know and I will give you some feedback.

PS. You can host up to 25 of your own domains here within the Premium membership on our state of the art hosting platform. :)

Do keyword research on all the variables so you know the stats. Sometimes there can be a big difference, but often it’s the same results.

You can add words around it and it is effectively a new keyword.

You can rank for the longer version and also the shorter version. You can even rank for other keywords within your article that you don’t even promote as keywords.

I'm trying so hard to find the perfect niche, something I can be proud of. I want my site to be a safe place but my mind is just blank. I want it to be original, and have a really addictive name. Can you change the theme of your website after you have started posting and arranging things on your website. I didn't know to look at more detail about themes when I was picking out a theme. The one I picked puts the side information on the top below the top pages and I don't like how it is arranged and I think it won't let me change it unless I go pro with Founder. I don't want to do this. So can I change and if I can how ?
Reply

You can change it, it’s usually no bother at all and everything goes where is should, but you might find the occassiinal hiccup if the new theme doesn’t support some of the existing elements. You might need to recreate menus, or add widgets etc. none of your content will be lost.

In the WP dashboard, go to Apperence, Themes, Add or New (can’t remember exactly) and search. There are thousands of free themes. You can also preview the theme on your website before you activate it.

Just check that they are being updated still. It should have a reasonably current date on it. Some developers stop supporting free themes and the. You don’t get updates.

Doing whatever he has to do, which unfortunately requires him to be gone from home 85-90% of the year!! *My goal is to free him up, so my target audience is exactly what I myself and trying to do for my family!

You do have control over the comments. You have to approve them before they go live on your site. You can edit their comment, add your reply and the approve it to appear on your site.

I always add my images, links, video etc in site comments before publishing. I find it always changes layout a bit once it goes to WP so I immediately go to the post in WP and re-edit it and hit update.

Would it really negatively affect my rankings as mentioned in the warning.

Hope to get an answer soon so I can proceed immediately.

Thanks,

You need to go into word press and click the button that say for your posting not to get indexed.

**Note: Your Privacy Policy is duplicate content because it is a stand document. SiteContent is going to warn you about this when you attempt to publish, and that is completely fine. Publish anyways, we are going to be blocking the search engines from seeing this.

After you publish your Privacy Policy, you are going to want to log into the back office of your website (Wordpress Admin area) through the SiteManager or through SiteContent. When you are within the editor for this page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the following settings.
Check off the Robots Meta NOINDEX and the Robots Meta NOFOLLOW. These will make sure this page (which is all duplicate content) does not get indexed in Google. The Privacy Policy is the ONLY page you want to do this for as it is duplicate content.

I copied this from the training follow this steps and you should be fine.

I need to walk thru my niche, I am a real estate agent by trade. I have a passion for helping train our new digital work force. WA offers the intrigal piece to that puzzle. Since I am in Real estate full time I am leaning toward..... "Baby Boomers About to Retire"

Sure, you could help that audience indeed, lots of baby boomers about to retire. What specifically do you want to help them with though? That is how you narrow down your niche here. :)

Does anyone use Pixelknot? I thought this feature MAY potentially add some "mystery" element to your website to give your potential site visitors some small puzzle to solve and then be given some sort of reward.

Its website describes it as the following:

Pixelknot is an Android application that allows users to hide short text-based messages in photographs and share them across trusted channels.

Have a secret that you want to share? Why not hide it in a picture? With PixelKnot, only your friends with the secret password can unlock your special message. Everyone else just sees a pretty picture. It’s a fun and easy way to share hidden messages without anyone knowing. Take those pixels, twist them in a knot, and see for yourself.

I haven't heard of this, but it is a bit gimmicky and unless you have an established brand and audience, you are going to have a tough time getting people to take advantage of this.

I wouldn't recommend stuff like this in the early stages of your business, or at all, unless you have a real application for it and there is a benefit to your audience.
Reply
gpreda Premium
Kyle, you are right and I should have clarified it, I meant to say to use Pixelknot after developing the brand and audience.

I think that the excitement provided by the mystery solving part and the related points reward could keep driving traffic to the site.

This would be a BONUS feature - and related to the niche - on the website and not the main purpose, similarly to a crossword puzzle section in a daily newspaper. While people buy the paper mainly for the news in it, the crossword puzzle is also a feature and people get used to seeing it and trying to solve it. They expect it to be there daily.

Again, I think that the thrill of solving the puzzle and getting some sort of points or reward, sharing in comments clues or how they solved the puzzle, can drive constant and even new traffic to the website and build a following.

Thanks again for your reply.

Blessings!

Hi everyone,

I finished writing my review and I was wondering the lovely WA community could take a look at it and give me some feedback?

Thank you in advance ;)

Review:

Hello! Welcome to my honest review of Wealthy Affiliate
Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?

Should you sacrifice a teddy bear on a moonlit night to Donald Trump while reciting gibberish from Dante inferno and listening to a dog say "I love you" backwards on YouTube?

No

No

No

and hell no.

In fact, don't sacrifice teddy bears of any kind.

Let's get right to it! I love Wealthy Affiliate. Sign up for FREE here (AFF LINK). The end.

Oh.. Were you expecting something a little more "in depth"? Well.. You came all the way here, so why not ;)

Wealthy Affiliate is a learning to platform that offers a complete, all-inclusive suite of tools to its members. When you sign up for your free account(Aff link), you get access to many of the tools you can use to start making money online. Additionally, you also get a 7-day sneak preview of the tools platinum members use to succeed in the Affiliate Marketing space for an EXTREAMLY reasonable price.

Wealthy Affiliate - A quick break down and rating:

Name: Wealthy Affiliate

Website URL: www.wealthyaffiliate.com

Training: 4.8 out 5

Support: 5 out of 5

Community: 5 out of 5 (Most courses have a FB community, WA doesn't need one, I like hanging out at WA)

Website Hosting: 5 out of 5 (Palm Trees)

Research Tools: 5 out of 5

Success Stories: 5 out of 5

Price: Starter Member (Free) Platinum Member ($49/month or $359/year)

Overall rating: 4.9 out of 5 (Palm Trees)

Training - Earn While You Learn!

Wealthy Affiliate offers a step by step approach to teaching new students how to make money online with affiliate marketing. It uses a combination of video and text to deliver its content and a neat progress bar to help you keep track of where you are in the course.

You can also earn badges for completing milestones, such as getting ranked on google for example, which are proudly displayed on your Wealthy Affiliate community profile.

The only thing I didn't like about the training was the text, but that's nitpicking because there isn't a lot of text to read and the video training is more than sufficient to cover the topic.

Support - Hello, I need hel.. OH! uh.. Never mind..

Wealthy Affiliate Support is FAST. I don't know if Wealthy Affiliate has access to a secret cabal of super heroes or speed demons but their support team is shockingly good. When I first signed up for Wealthy Affiliate, I expected the support team to be like every other support team I've encountered in other online courses I've taken (which often took more than 24 hours to get back to me). I'm happy to report that this is not the case with Wealthy Affilate Support, at the most, I waited maybe an hour or two before receiving a thorough reply. The Wealthy Affiliate support team always goes above and beyond to help you or direct you to someone who can.

Additionally, the community is also encouraged to help each other out and more often than not, you'll get the help you need from a community member before the support team, which is a huge advantage that Wealthy Affiliate has over their competition, more on that later.

Overall, I'm more than satisfied with the support that the official support team offers but the assistance provided by the community is the proverbial cherry on top of an already delicious sundae flavour of your choice.

Tools - Even Batman Would Be Jealous...

Wealthy Affiliate provides EVERYTHING you need to get started. Many online courses tend to send you off site and get you to buy additional software (through their affiliate links) after you already paid an obscene entry price. This is not the case with Wealthy Affiliate, there are no up sells.

Wealthy Affiliate is more than just an online course, it's an all-inclusive platform, in addition to the training, it also provides the tools you need to go from complete beginner to master affiliate marketer. There is absolutely ZERO need to go anywhere else.

What tools does Wealthy Affiliate offer? First and foremost, affordable web hosting, you can host up to 25 websites as a platinum member and 2 websites as a free starter member.

Here is a quick break down of the tools are provided by Wealthy Affiliate:

Website Tools for platinum members:

Web hosting: Self explanatory, super fast, affordable and quality hosting
Site Builder: Helps you build a stunning WordPress website
Content creation: Helps you write high quality converting content for your site
Site Comments: Helps you leverage the power of the Wealthy Affiliate community to get comments on your site
Site Feedback: Leverage the power of successful people within the wealthy affiliate community to provide valuable feedback on your site and how you can optimize it for conversions
Site Support: Wealthy Affiliate Support will help you fix your site if you have problems with it.
Research tools for platinum members:

Site Rank: Tracks your historical rankings and monitors your website authority
Search Analysis: Spy on your competition and discover keyword trends
Alphabet Soup: Helps you discover millions of niches and keywords
Brainstorm HQ: Find the latest and lucrative trends
Affiliate Programs: Helps you discover the most relevant
Niche Keyword Lists:
Community - A community that earns together stays together

In a word: WOW! This community is active, vibrant and utterly fantastic, within the first few hours, I formed several connections with helpful people and forged a deep bond with them in a short period. I think this is directly related to the premium membership price because it is high enough to attract quality members and low enough that ANYONE can afford it. This the total opposite of my experience with High priced courses ($1000+), they tend to have communities but are for the most part, tend to be quite vacant mostly due to the high price point and simply don't have the content to justify the high price tag.

The founders are ACTIVE in the community and you can message them directly, and yes they actually respond and I'm not talking about lazy auto responders. Not only is this incredibly refreshing and encouraging to have DIRECT access to the founders, it's very rare in the make money online space, in my experience with the majority of other courses I've taken, the founders were almost always absent and had their most prominent members take their place.

That being said, when you become a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I would highly recommend following as many people as you can so you can pick and choose the ones you click with the most. You are also more likely to get the help you need.

Success Stories - More than just testimonials

There are MANY success stories on Wealthy Affiliate. More importantly, these are not just success stories that you would often find featured prominently on most affiliate marketing training websites, in fact, I tend to be weary of those because you can never be sure that those are even real, call me jaded but the make money online community is saturated with fake reviews; With the Wealthy Affiliate platform, you can actually talk to these people directly and prove to yourself that these are not canned, paid reviews like a lot of other sites out there use.

Many people within the Wealthy Affiliate community have a blog they update regularly and are encouraged to do so. What I love most about that is you can see that these are people who started out with little to no experience, just like you, and became successful. When you follow their personal blog posts you can see how their thoughts progressed from a beginner mindset to a master affiliate marketer mindset, more importantly, you can talk to these people directly via the messaging system and ask them for help or insight and 9.9 times out of 10, they are more than happy to assist you.

Membership Details - You get what you pay for

So what is the difference between a starter member and premium member? With the starter membership you get access to first phase of Wealthy Affilate's awesome affiliate marketing training, which will help you get started with a website and have it primed and ready to get you earning.

With Premium Membership, you have full access to everything Wealthy Affiliate offers, which includes your affiliate marketing training, web hosting and all the tools you will need to get an edge over your competition.
Here is a visual breakdown of the differences between the premium and the starter memberships:

(WA premium vs Starter Image + link)

The Competition - Why Pay when you can learn for "free"?

So you might be asking: But Kyle, why would I pay for Wealthy Affiliate premium membership when I can go on YouTube and learn Affiliate Marketing for "free?" I'm glad you asked that because there is A LOT of very BAD information being taught on YouTube and overpriced courses. It usually goes something like this: Sign up for an email auto responder service, find a low quality, over priced product you never used on an Affiliate Marketplace, make a landing page, promote your link on Bing and watch the money roll in. Sound Familiar? Not only is this method a waste of time, it's unethical, why promote a product you never used when you can promote products you have already used and just didn't realize it? If your like most people, you bought something on Amazon before, so why not add value to someone by writing a quality review and earn an income from your efforts. You do it every day, you just don't get paid for it, yet.

Wealthy Affiliate is one the very few, if not the only Affiliate Marketing course that does affiliate marketing properly. The course focuses on creating an authority site around a niche you are passionate about and then teaches you how to promote it ethically using SEO (Search Engine Optimization), PPC (pay per click), social media etc. Frankly, the internet is already saturated with poor, cookie cutter landing pages and the methods taught at Wealthy Affiliate are a breath of fresh air.

When you sign up for Wealthy Affiliate, you don't just sign up for a course, you plug into a vast network of experienced, successful people who can help get you to where you want to be; That combined with high quality web hosting and an entire arsenal of tools that similar online courses will up sell you for, is a killer deal because you get all of these things for a VERY reasonable price.
Wealthy Affiliate - The Final Verdict

Wealthy Affiliate is an amazing platform. I wish I signed up for it years ago when I first heard about it. Everything from it's stunning website and course material to its fantastic community is top-notch and worth every penny.

As for the downsides, if you want to use Wealthy Affiliate's hosting service, you are locked into using WordPress. Which is either a positive or a negative. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of WordPress at the time of this writing, in fact I avoided it like the plague because I come from a drop shipping background and I'm used to using a simple drag and drop website builder like WIX and Shopify which helped me to pump out professional ecommerce websites in a matter of minutes. WordPress takes a bit more effort to learn but it's worth it because of the additional options it offers.

If you never used WordPress before, it can be a bit intimidating BUT Wealthy Affiliate has an entire course on WordPress to ease your transition, that combined with the Wealthy Affilate Support team had me up and running in a few hours and I'm proud to say that WordPress is starting to grow on me and I'm confident that I can take these new skills I learned and apply them to things outside of ecommerce such as a Fiver gig or making my own Udemy Course.

If you don't want to risk your money yet, that's okay, I get it and I will never give you the hard sell to buy something you are not sure of, that's why I would like to invite you to try Wealthy Affiliate for free here and make some money online here (affiliate to online surveys). This way you can experience it for yourself and raise the capital you need to try the platinum membership without spending your hard-earned money.

However, if you are ready to earn your first dollar online, click on this link here (AFF Link) and only pay $19 for your first month!

Though don't know what keywords to use or how to put it down.so i have done a research on various companies especially factories, hospitals, banks, schools etc where it involves a large groups of people working together to contribute to the growth of either way the institute or their status. I noticed a trend where all had personnel reporting of stress physically and mentally, lack of motivation, anger and aggression of some sort, negative
attitude, alcohol or prescription medication dependency ,back biting e.t.c.
Totally not a healthy environment.
i have solutions on how to's,do's& dont's,books, hang outs, healthy tips and on en on....

People are in situations with their jobs that are truly unhealthy, in some cases they are overworked. In others, they just don't have any passion for their work.

You can help this audience find their passion and truly do something that they love....and pointing them in the direction of WA would be a natural and seamless promotion.

So this is just a direction that you may want to consider.

Hi, I was brainstorming and want a professional opinion. Would growth be too wide of a topic, where I vision me having many niches and micro niches within growth. Spiritual growth, physical growth,mental... Growing a child etc? I do know this will be a TON of work but I am passionate about LIFE which is always growing...

Growth is too broad for a niche, but it is a good focal point for your overall business. Choose a niche for your first website. You mentioned several such as spiritual growth. Imagine writing 100 articles about the niche you choose.

At this point I think I'd like to use building businesses, helping people start a small business (since the economy almost demands it if you want to have any security at all) or something like home businesses as my first iche since I have a BS in business, started businesses, and consulted for businesses. Plus I've already thought of a ton of items that can be included within this that I can generate commissions and recurring commissions from. But that may be over used or too broad. Any suggestions?

"Building a Business" can be quite a broad idea. Is your audience trying to start a franchise? Do MLM? Build an affiliate website? Sell their own products?

I'd say focus on an audience trying to build a specific type of business, and you can focus on how to help them achieve their goals within that area.
Reply
JayBrooks1 Premium
It wouldn't be a franchise, but to help them, guide them starting a small business, could be service, product, affiliate, or MLM. It would be a business the average person could start. Most people don't have the funds to start a franchise. Trying to get noticed enough to guide them and even funnel them to WA and an MLM that I have reviewed and find credible.

I want to know if there are any alternative payment gateways because my country is not eligible receive to payment via Paypal.

And if I go premium and buy a domain with the platform, do I have to pay for hosting fee? On the other hand, I don't know what niches I am really passionate about. I think this is my issue. In my opinion, I just want to be a smart reviewer in a specific niche. But because English is my second language, so I don't know what to write about to become a smart reviewer. Knowledge about grammar and writing is very poor. So I think I need to learn more to reach my goals. Just need more research!!

No, when you go premium the host is included on the membership. You have to pay for the domain, it's only around $13.00 thirteen dollars, If you want to use the subdomain, "siterubix.com" being a premium member, it gives you 50 for free. Have you thought about translation? Most of the themes of websites, nowadays, comes with a translation ready. Do not let the language barrier stops you. This is the 21first century. There are ways to go around that, I am sure. About the grammar, you can edit it. Everyone does that.
I hope everything gets better for you.

Hello Night Owls,

Las Vegas. The last 19 years of my life stayed at home. My goals haven't changed. I put in about 13 hours straight. I get frustrated when people don't answer my questions. My questions aren't frivolous. It means I am stuck wasting precious time. When I could be making money. Amazon only gives you a few days. This far in the program and I still can't put Amazon one stripe. I believe that's the name. Kyle, I asked you how do I get an email account?
I need an email account so I can give it to Gravatar. All my emails have my name included. So I can't give reviews. My website is suffering. I read that Premium members get free emails? Is that true or lie? I read you get one on one coaching is that true or a lie? It is now 4:00 A.M. been working since 1:00 this afternoon.
What did I get accomplished? More content for my website.
No Amazon. No reviews. No comments for my website.

My philosophy is to forgive and show people you love them.
I am really trying hard to live up to my philosophy.
I work hard for I need to make money.

Love & Light,
Rose

P.S. I would love to go to Las Vegas. That I put on my goals list.

Question. In the keywords table in the training the best QSR=6 is for the "best affiliate programs high commission".
This does not make grammatical sense. But it can make sense, if I add a comma, like this:
"best affiliate programs, high commission".
How Google search would treat this comma in my post? Would it think it matches the keyword without the comma?

I want a life where I can work from home and never have to leave and at the same time make a significant amount of money.

I want to help people who want to make a living from home so they can be with them and not let a job dictate how they live their life away from home.

When considering the brand I want to establish for my business, I already know that many people know me as Mr. Michael "Live" but I think I can add to that by signing everything I do online with "Success within Reach" by: Mr. Michael "Live".

Of course, I did a search for "successwithinreach dot com" and it's taken but "success-within-reach-with-mr-michael dot com" is not taken so I might build a site with that URL to promote WA as the site's main focus. I also think I'll write a book with the same title as well.

I think my brand direction or targeted audience is for " opportunity seekers". People who are looking for a different solution to their situations. For example, myself. The reason why I'm getting into Affiliate Marketing is because I know that I won't be able to continue the kind of work I am currently doing, for health reasons. Maybe that is too broad?

Yeah, some themes by default don't show pages in the header menu.

You can add these custom menus to organize your top menu in any way in which you like, as well as create sub-menus (for themes that will support this). You can also use these custom menus to add within your side widgets on your website (within your sidebar).

Here is a tutorial on how to create custom menus: I use custom menus on all of my websites (over-ride that default menu). It allows much more control and organization....both good things!

There are also small business owners and entrepreneurs, with particular focus on local businesses, that I'd like to explore.

Kyle, I just wish you can answer my question... Do I need to make another website for Wealthy Affiliate in order to get referrals?

Much Appreciated,

If you want to promote WA and work within the "make money niche", go through the Affiliate Bootcamp training. If you want to build a business within another niche, head through the Get Started Here training.

Focus on just one though. You are going to be much more successful if you focus on one business/website versus trying to do too many things at once. You can always diversify down the road.

Hope this helps you out here Rose!

Hi all would very much love your thoughts on this niche.

As i have worked in the gold mines for almost 10 years, most of us work on a roster of 2 weeks at work and 1 week off, some do 4 weeks on and 1-2 weeks off. This is a massive amount of time to be away from family, and i can assure you that everyone of us wants to find a better way to make an income, so my thoughts were to target Affiliate Marketing but bring that down to focus on people who work away from their family's.

To teach them a better way to earn a good income and leave the mines behind as a distant memory, your thoughts would be most welcomed

Thank you

I need some Help defining and refining my niche. The idea is helping people who want to earn city level income from more rural areas.

Not sure if I should be targeting people who want to get out of the city, but don’t want to reduce their earning potential or people in rural areas who desire a city level income.

Building a business from rural areas. That could be a direction that you head and you could help people learn about the online world and the opportunity there. Definitely a direction that you could head.

I like the building a business from rural areas idea. I have also thought of targeting people who want to live a homesteading, self-reliant, lifestyle but also want as treat of income.

This is me, in essence. I love the idea of being self-reliant at home Growing my own food and the like, but I also want to have the money to go to Greece in the summer and go to Scotland to play golf.

My values speak to self-reliance, but I don't want to be a hermit in the hills.

Yeah, that sounds like the natural direction you can head. A Resourceful Income. Something of that nature would be a cool brand and give you the flexibility to head in many different directions.

HELP REFINING NICHE PLEASE:
here are my draft thoughts, any suggestions @Kyle?:
I want to help "office workers who want to escape / Someone who wants to quit their job / who wants to find a better way" with options for work from laptop (make money online, affiliate marketing and blogging)
Q1 is this too broad?
Q2 Any suggestions on narrowing this, where there might be less competition?

... hi-- help, please. . . been dilly-dallying for days on end about 'niche' 'target audience' direction.... so much to focus / to choose for a website. .. Q. is it best to have a consistent domain name to match the 'niche' etc. or in other words, the same domain name to the service or product being marketed ?
.... probably over-thinking this step -- as i've learned that a 'brand name' is a big deal .... guess that's why i'm taking time with this...fuzziness has set in... any insightful clarity would be much appreciated at this time . . thanks kindly for listening. . .

Your domain name should reflect the niche, but it doesn't have to include a keyword within it. It can be purely brandable.

MarketingWithKyle.com

That could be my domain, and it would give me the flexibility to go within MANY directions within the make money, internet marketing, affiliate marketing space.

I need to ask a question about something that is bugging me Kyle. So far in the affiliate bootcamp, and the certification lessons...I have followed through and completely understand the concept of placing affiliate links. My problem though is that you do not cover the new FTC rules about affiliate links. Several of my merchants want me to put a disclaimer at the top of every page where I have affiliate links. I have made an image of my disclaimer for my regular affiliate blog, and am getting ready to create one for my affiliate marketing blog. My question is.. these "in your face" "I'm getting paid if you buy something" statements, are they hurting conversions and post stickiness? I am afraid it will chase visitors away from my sites quickly.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Those SEC rules are actually not new, any time that you are promoting a product or service through an affiliate program, it should be apparent to the end-user. So yes, a statement like this.

It doesn't need to be on every page, but it should be on the pages in which you were directly sending people to a website in which you were getting paid to do so.

I was just wondering what the benefit is of either a page or a post. I thought that posts just ended up on the side menu, but now I see that they can actually be in the top menu, as well.

So when is it best to create a post, and when is it best to create a page?
Reply
HelenpDoyle Premium
Joan, I think it is a matter of personal use. What I do is, if I have a page that articles hang off of I make that one a page. For example, one of my sites is a fantasy and science fiction website. I have a number of introductory pages. One of these is 'Genera of Fantasy'. In there I give an overview of fantasy. Then I do a child page for each type of fantasy. Then I do my other articles as posts and link them to the relevant child page.

See you can have a whole web in what every way you want it.

Okay, I think I understand:) Maybe you can send me a link to your website so that I can get a better picture of what you're saying :)

If you have a blogroll in the top menu, every new post will add there, pages not.
Pages can be full screen without side banner posts can't.
I use pages for homepage, privacy, disclosure, about, and some price lists :)
Reply
JoanCB Premium
What exactly is a blogroll? Is every post that's in the top menu considered a blogroll?
Reply
Zappades Premium
If you don't change anything in your menu, you land on your blogroll if you enter your website URL.
I have a static homepage and a menu title "Blog" In the top menu you have things like "Home" "Blog" "Let's get started", "Reviews" or "about" Some are pages: Home + About. The Blog is just blog and there every new post you publish gets added automatically.
Reviews for example or let's get s.. you add relevant posts in a drop down of these menu items.
Reply
MozMary Premium
posts go to a blog roll and you can choose to have that as the front page of your website, that way people scroll down and see all your posts

pages are usually important evergreen information, posts are what the training says to do as your regular content that you'll be adding every week...

experiment on a free site, use the search bar for extra examples

Once you are in the message, you copy and past (which is ctrl c to copy your link where you are having problems and then ctrl v to paste it and send it to me). The link you want to send me will be where you are seeing read more. Just click in the browser and make sure the link is highlighted before you copy and then come over to paste it to me.

I think I am looking into targeting people who tried to get a career going after college and got lost in the shuffle, settling on lower paying jobs and got stuck at the bottom of the ladder. Lol, that's what happened to me. I got a degree, tried to find jobs, and lacked the experience or extra factor they were looking for, kept getting overlooked and decided to settle for the lower paying jobs just to make ends meet.

I thought there might be a better way to start a business for myself, so I'm sure others might have that idea too. Not sure what my keyword target would be because I can't put the whole paragraph down lol. I guess "lower paying jobs" or "after college rut" or something... I'll play with it...

I also thought about the "honest business opportunity, not a scam" type of targeting, too. But I think that's most people being skeptical and broader than the first one I described.
Reply

Absolutely a HUGE audience and one you can target. And we have lots of folks here that fit into this category and WA can certainly help people out in this area.

Most are skeptical though, so that is a small bridge that you have to get people to cross because to be frank there are a lot of scams out there that are taking advantage of people.

That is something that you can help folks with on your website, help them avoid the schemes/scams, find the programs/services that benefit them, and talk about the many topics/questions that this audience has.

Hi there. Great question, but you can’t build a website on facebook. You can have a page or a profile but not a website. You can use your page or profile on facebook to promote your website once you build one here through Wealthy Affillate.

well this platform is designed for beginners, they've taken most of the tech load off

you could go to site domains in SiteManager, click the Websites button there on the left to get in - and check to see if your domain name is available in a .com

you wouldn't want to drag and drop items from one site to another, if you have a site, you want to set yourself up for content and traffic, you can link your fb and site and send people each way

you can also start on a free site and get the hang of things so you know what to do with a bit of training

Walter,

I see you are doing the bootcamp, which is more geared for promoting Wealthy Affiliate, but it is not a requirement . You can easily pick a niche around a specific sport if you wish.

Get back with me after Lesson 6 and let us talk then which way you want to go.

this training certainly will suit you, it's always about giving value to people without taking advantage or fleecing them

you could certainly jump into the training with that niche in mind and with the free sites you can change up or down as you get a feel for your direction. It's about choosing a niche that interests you and you'll soon find out when you start to write content and research

there are two courses here and any niche is possible, Bootcamp will focus on selling affiliate programs like this platform i.e. WA, and the other course Online Entrepreneur will focus on all other types of niches

Do you want me to go through Lesson 6 without making the website? Or do you want me to make a website without knowing what my target market is?

Thanks John! I see what you're driving at. Is it possible to target two niches in one website? I was thinking to target persons with disabilities who can not get a regular job because of their disability and a second niche would be any online marketer who has been scammed by "business opportunities" that were for all practical purposes impossible to succeed at.
Reply
Hi Mary! Thanks for chiming in. Please excuse me, but what do you mean by "fleecing them"? I agree with you that the training here will suit me very well. In my mind I'm a bit confused by the difference between a niche and a target market. Is there a difference? I don't think so, but I could be wrong!!! I love to write, but as far as doing research is concerned, I feel really lost!!! I have never done this kind of research before. I am worried about coming up with enough content to keep writing about each day!!!

lol 'fleecing them' is one of those terms we don't think too much about, you know fleecing sheep takes all their wool and leaves them with nothing, they are left bare, so in terms of fleecing customers means taking all their money - usually in the context of marketing 'unnecessarily overpriced',

yes, niche = segment of a market = targeted audience

it's just about communicating, everyone does it their own way, when you know your product you'll be able to talk endlessly about it, see how he tells you to look at the questions people ask, you'll be helping them with their questions so they can make informed decisions, and it's something we all do naturally with all our daily stuff :)

I am thinking about opening WA to Hungarians, and to make it available and known for the ones who speak at least intermediate level English. Do you think it is possible for these people? Also, am I allowed to translate or make subscription for the videos? Or is there any already available?

there is a transcription of level 1 underway but bear in mind it is copyright material belonging to Kyle's training, translations while possible should probably stay on the platform in tutorial form just like the original transcripts in my opinion, but let's see what Kyle has to say. Also WA is already open to global audiences with intermediate English, they will find the platform via posts and searches on google

Brand direction.. While most are focused on the income side of the equation to bolster the bottom line in their personal economies. I want to focus on the solutions side! They are essentially the same and result in the same but many people are confused with starting a business or creating income. Walking them down the back road of solving a problem can bring them to the table from a different perspective.

"Pay your mortgage off in record time and reduce the interest paid"
"Unlimited vacation funds for life"
"Pay off your high student loans"
"Fund your child's interest in a sport"
"A Single parents answer to winning the money game"

I believe an entire platform can be setup around many solution oriented niche markets to drive interest and referrals.

Hello, I need some help in terms of choosing a niche. It looks like I need to attract traffic (audience) before I can talk to Affiliate programs. So, it is better to do something that we are good at? Let's say I am a photographer and I need to create a website and bring in traffic; however, how can I match the products which I want to help the vendor to sell?
Reply

Sounds like you need the Online Entrepeneur Course, and have a close look at lesson 2 and lesson 3

- lesson 2 he talks about the money making process where he describes our connection with vendors and products

- lesson 3 he shows us how to choose and refine a niche and choose affiliate programs eg photography affiliate programs in google shows you what's available there, he also shows you around amazon and other affiliate programs

you are right that he sets you up for traffic first, so do all the lessons in order, and choose some niche that you know about and are interested in because it's the content you write that will ultimately get traffic, when the SEO is in place

My target audience, I am thinking, are "older" and "wiser" folks like myself -- baby boomers, who maybe are struggling single parents, who want to make money online. BUT. It is too vague.
Not sure, then, who my target audience should be....?

I don't feel comfortable targeting stay-at-home moms, as that is way to cliché for me. Targeting people who have worked their whole lives makes sense to me -- like an Encore Career.

That is a lot of different ideas there, and a lot of different potential audiences. I would recommend that you narrow your ideas and concepts down.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

also take a look at how you'd monetize it, what affiliate programs go with, or courses

take a look at the example Kyle gives in his video for lesson 3 about how to refine a niche and find programs

Have you finalized your niche yet? If you haven't, then I'm still here to help you. Let me clarify what niche means in more detail.

Niche means the subject of your interest, in which you have some knowledge so that you can write several contents related to that niche. Actually, every niche is profitable, what matters is a number of contents you can write in that niche. So, instead of thinking which niche is profitable, think in which niche you can write many contents by targeting several different keywords, because more contents you can write, you gonna have more traffic to your website and then more conversions, sales or even a profit without selling anything or recruiting anyone, just from advertisements within your website by applying with services like Google Adsense. If you don't know what Google Adsense means, then you can click this link:- https://www.newsonlineincome.com/how-to-make-money-from-google-adsense/

So, any niche is a profitable niche for you if you have some ideas on that niche so that you can write several contents on that topic on your own as well as by doing research on Google. So, sure you can pick any niche and keep on making website exactly as guided by Wealthy Affiliate lessons by doing proper keywords research for each content.

So, keep on taking Wealthy Affiliate lessons by clicking “Training“ on the left-hand side menu of Wealthy Affiliate and after that by clicking “Online Entrepreneur Certification”. At the end of those lessons, there are some tasks which you need to complete. Move step by step from lesson 1 without skipping any lessons or tasks. I repeat, without skipping any lessons or tasks. If you move in that way, soon you will understand the system of Wealthy Affiliate and even will start to build your online business.

And remember, I'm always ready to help and support you. You can always feel free to ask me if you need any help from my side within Wealthy Affiliate. Even you can follow me and message me on my Facebook page if you need my urgent help. This is my Facebook page:- https://www.facebook.com/The.Suman.Roka/

i want help choosing my direction....my ideas still are quite broad but generally speaking fall under the category of helping grown men....become more like warriors!! to become spiritually secure and experience personal freedom!!

one facet is.... establishing an online biz...so i will promote WA

another is mental toughness...

another is honoring the sacred expression of masculine and feminine energy in between partners so that you have a beautiful relationship with your partner...

so a lot of things will be based around men living a life more on their terms....i find my niche being all the men who have missed out on ancient traditions of initiation...i think as a collective,

our culture suffers from a lot of men who are not yet living their life's as men....and i am to offer them the support that they need to find themselves in this often confusing world

I just bought my domain, and I was asked to verify my email address. It showed that my email address is: wa5f5t5tau7agr8hy7@domain-shield.com and not my regular address. So I thought when I went to verify it, it just completed my domain registration, and I didn't change it to my normal email address. Is this right?

You should be OK...in an effort to keep people from getting spammed domain registrars will offer to anonymize your contact info, placing their info in instead. If you go to Websites>Site Domains and click on the Settings pull-down menu next to your domain and select Contact and Privacy you will see your anonymized info as well as your real info. Just make sure your real info is correct. If not, make the necessary changes and then click on the Save Settings button.

I'm sure Kyle is to busy to answer my question so will throw it out to the community. I'm on lesson 9 in Bootcamp and Kyle keeps talking about promoting WA on a website. I had asked the question before "do I have to create another website?" and the answer was no. My website is on Fly Fishing and can't see how promoting WA on a fishing site would fit and the farther Kyle goes on this training the more WA material he wants me to put on my website. I just can't grasp this idea or concept. What to do? Do I start over and create another website? Anyone out there have an answer for me?

So If I'm wanting to really promote WA then I'd make a new site dedicated to whatever niche I want to help make money (i.e. retirees work from home, etc.). Now in my niche I'm helping people with drones and some are starting service or photography businesses and need an online presence. In that case I created a new post and promoted WA as a tool for web site development and hosting, etc. That's just my view but I hope it helps.

I am kind of in the same situation but I think the best solution would be to have 2 separate websites. 1 for the Fly Fishing and 1 solely for WA promotion. Good luck!!
Reply
I would create a site just for promoting WA. For content, you can write about how much WA has taught you. Anyone who wants to build a site will learn that this is THE go-to place to learn about it.

You are in the wrong training, you need the Online Entrepreneur Course This is Bootcamp for the WA type niches, the OEC is for all other niches, so that's why he's saying put a ton of WA stuff on - he thinks people here are doing the WA affiliate program as a niche!

On the other hand you can still 'promote' WA as you have affiliate links, you may be able to share with friends or social media or do one relevant post on your website eg how you built your flyfishing site naturally leads into talking about WA or some angle like that, but really you can't go down the route of promoting it as a niche there

also - best not to take on two niches as a beginner, it dilutes your efforts, once your flyfishing site is stable and successful and where you want it to be in terms of traffic then think about a second niche - if you still want to and have time
Reply

it's best to do one first though, master it and then pick up a second one, especially as a beginner - we have Nathaniell talking a lot about the mistakes he made starting off taking on too much

Thanks for your input MozMary. I have completed the OEC course some time ago and wanted to continue my training so on to Bootcamp. I know it is to promote WA and never thought it through that a fishing website was not to compatible with WA. (you're not fishing on WA) but didn't relish the idea of recreating another "about me" privacy page needed for another website and dilute my efforts to continue with my first website. It just feels like I'm going to neglect my original website. Then again once I complete #2, I could neglect it when completed, but it all seems like wasted effort to do that too. Sounds like I'm arguing with myself. I can see the monetary advantage in promoting WA as a good source of income.

I'm just mentioned that I'm learning a lot from a site and people started asking me for a link. I had to rush over here and find my affiliate link so I could post it for them. I wasn't ready, but they started asking so heck yes I'll start giving out the link. It just might get me to Vegas. lol

what you say here is precisely what superaffiliate Nathaniell says about diluting your efforts - however when your first website is strong and established and taking less time then you could consider the second one - even now you could be recording ideas and outlines of posts you intend to do and in particular researching the niche you intend to go into - but for sure it is a divided effort when both sites are at a point that they need a lot of work

I've made the mistake too, and had to tear myself away from one site to look after another and saw the traffic dip that comes with - I had one site that was really taking off very strongly very fast but diluted efforts = diluted results! It's good to read the posts of the older superaffiliates, the guys who have become really successful with this, hard to find them sometimes though as a newbie, maybe take a look at who goes to Vegas year after year

Hi Albear,

This one is challenging.

When I think of fly fishing, I think of people who have a lot of spare time to pursue such a hobby.

I'm sure there are lots of fisherman who would love to spend more time fishing, but work or their job prevents them.

I would suggest making a tab in your website called, "Ways to Create More Time for Fly Fishing" or something similar.

Hope this helps! -ALLAN-

I have a question about menu. From the training I understand that we need to create a Page in order to get a new tab on the Menu. Is there a way to add the tab without a page? For example, if I want to have a "Reviews" tab on the menu, but I don't want it to be clickable and open into any page content.
I just want the reader to hover on "Reviews" and see the list of the posts under this tub open under.
I tried creating an empty page, only with title, for this, but it doesn't look a right way.
Any solutions?
Thanks

Thanks Leo, I checked it. But looks like it's not exactly the same idea. You use categories for this, so under Review come different categories. I wanted to get pots list there.
Should I just mark these posts as "Reviews" category?

So my current niche site is drone related (see my profile for the URL if you want to check it out). Since I won't recommend or promote something I, myself, haven't vetted, I haven't yet started promoting WA. Now that I know it works, as evidenced by my current niche site, I'd like to start.
I was wondering if, for my first dip into promoting WA, I might create a post on my current niche site offering to help others in the drone industry/hobby market their services and offerings by promoting WA and it's training in such a way that they can see how it will help them in their endeavors. Do you think that will work or do you think that might introduce more competition for my niche, etc? Is it too specific of a target audience? What do you think?

If you are going to head in that direction with your niche, you will want to go through the Certification training, not Affiliate Bootcamp.

If you ever want a website review from the community, I highly recommend that you take advantage of the SiteFeedback system here at Wealthy Affiliate.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/website-feedback

This is a give and take system, meaning that as you offer others feedback on your website you are going to earn credits so you can request reviews from others. This is a pay it forward community afterall. :)

Thanks for the reply but I think you mis-understood my question. I'm very happy with my current niche site and now also want to promote WA. I just registered a new domain to do so and will have a site dedicated specifically to it. What I was asking was, would it be beneficial to say post in my current niche something like Starting a Drone Business - Marketing yourself online and then using that article to refer people to WA kind of like "hey if you want to market yourself and your business check out the training offered over here...".
Reply
MozMary Premium
so you have a successful drone site having gone through OEC training

well good question, for sure some people will copy a successful site, and it does sound like you'd be inviting competition, but you don't have to hone their attention so closely on that site of yours to promote WA, if you are ready for a second niche

You could make your domain that, it is very brandable. You just don't want to try to promote MANY different niches from one website, you want to choose on particular target audience for your niche.

Hi Kyle,

I hope this message meets you well. I have a question for you. I was looking at the WA OVERVIEW & RANKINGS you had as part of your WA review when you did the video session 9 in Phase 1 (WA Bootcamp). Where did those stats come from? I wanted to know if I can copy it into my review? I just needed to know the source.

Hi Rosemary, the overview and rankings is a part of the review we have to create our self.
You can take Kyle's example and do yours similar. We have to do such a ranking for every product we review:)

"Brand Direction" -- is this the same as 'niche' ? ... in a previous video, i recall that it's best to find a niche that is only some 300 or is it <300k of search results on google? ... if i understand correctly, if there's too many search results, then it's too challenging to enter into that market? .... just confused here and feeling 'stuck'.... any and all beneficial help would be much appreciated....thanks kindly to All for everything....cheerio... :)

In my opinion. I think Any niche that you pick will be ok. You just need to find a way to be different and capitalize on it.

The niche you chose, especially the domain name is not that important to check for competition. But if you do you want as much as possible monthly searches, more than 50 and a lower competition (QSR) than 100.

The main point that I am getting from the article is that your audience really needs to be a segment of the population the potentially has an interest in affiliate marketing. The first site had a greater focus on interests, hobbies etc. and the basics of Word Press. Boot Camp has a greater focus on the "making money" end of things. This is just my perception however. It takes a good bit of thinking to decide your target audience.

Hello. ok. I need some clarification.

Do you get the name for your site based on the kwywords you decide to use?

And I am running into a brick wall on thinking about how I can promote WA except to write a review comparing it to the other program I am a member of. But even with that I don't have a site name and can't think of one.

I would like people to find WA though and have them connect with a program that really does work. I know it does. But I am not sure how I am going to get past this brand name/website name stuff.

Not sure i will articulate my question right, but here we go, is domain name and niche the same thing? for example i want to promote WA so i want the word affiliate in my domain name, is that good enough as my website direction or i need to narrow it down? hope that makes sense
Reply

Hi Manila,

Don't worry...your question makes perfect sense :)

First of all, if you've decided to recommend WA then I suggest you take a look at the affiliate bootcamp training. It's similar to the Online Entrepreneur Certification training, but it is more specific about targeting audiences who might have an interest in what WA has to offer. Here's the link to the training: Regarding your domain name, it would ideally need to be linked to the nature of your niche, and including "affiliate" would therefore be a good idea. In the bootcamp training you will see Kyle's example where he also has "affiliate" in his domain.

I will just add that you don't necessarily have to include "affiliate" in the title of your domain name as it depends on the overall angle of your website.

For example, I recommend WA on one of my websites but my domain includes the words "work from home" and doesn't include "affiliate". That's because I am targeting people who are looking for ways to work from home online.

The bootcamp training expands on this a great deal and will help you to focus on a specific segment of a more general niche, making your domain name choice a lot easier.

Hope this helps for now, Manila!

Hello, I like the like idea of building a lifestyle around affiliate marketing and was wondering if I'm on the right track with my niche: Remote work lifestyle. I want to target people who desire the ability to choose what time they wake up and work from anywhere, whether it be from a bed, a cozy coffee shop or a private island.

I think I can narrow it down and make it funny with something catchy like: "I wake up when I want" or "I work from bed" but I'm worried about it not being specific enough or not SEO friendly.

What do you think?

If you're looking for a title for your website, I like your funny names. "I work from bed" would certainly catch my attention xD You can always use the website Tagline to enter an SEO friendly description of what your website will offer.

The "work from anywhere" niche is fairly saturated (with lots of scams out there as well) but is an "evergreen" niche and if your content is well written and informative and you apply your keywords and all the training from WA correctly, this can work for you!

I can already see that you're an "out of the box" thinker, so if you apply this to your content you can bring readers another spin on the "work from anywhere" niche rather than the same blah-blah and empty promises that are available on most other "work from anywhere" opportunity blogs.
Once Google notices your uniqueness and authoritativeness, you will have no problem ranking on Pg1 in Google. And then you will start seeing the traffic and the $ increasing.

The training will show you the best way to apply all the SEO principles to your website and content.

Just my thoughts. Hope this helped.
