When you're adding a new theme to Wordpress or just messing about, you're probably going to come across something called a 'Widget'. What's a Widget?

A Widget is a small, usually single purpose bit of code that displays some writing, an image, a calendar, a search form, an ad or basically anything else in your sidebar. In short, it allows you to change the things that are in your sidebar! Instead of the horrible default one you can put the stuff in that your visitors really care about!

It's a truly easy way to make your website 'yours'.

Let's take a look at just how you can do that.
