Pinterest is an amazing social media site, I've been seeing more and more people find success leveraging Pinterest! Normally when a secret that is respectable and that really works gets out it gets saturated or abused in a way that ruins it for everyone. Thankfully Pinterest seems to be doing just the opposite, the more it grows the more it ends up helping everyone apart of it and using it correctly grow!

So for those of you living in caves, lol... jkn... PInterest is a social media channel that is made up of users saving images and creating collections of those images called of "Boards" and "Pins". Boards are basically the topic or theme/subject of the collection of pins that make up the board.

So now that you have an idea of what Pinterest is, lets take a look at some of the fast and pretty obvious pros. Every image (pin) that you saved within one of your boards also lets you put a link to pretty much anywhere you want to send someone, who sees your image, clicks it for whatever the reason maybe and are taken to the link you added to the pin when posting it. .

So if you've followed the training here, I'm willing to bet that most of us wealthy affiliate members are apart of quite a few affiliate programs, or services. I'm also willing to bet that most of you have wrote product reviews or comparisons. Why does this matter?

Because this means any of your affiliate products or services can be pinned with a product picture and linked directly to the affiliate link. You can pin the same product picture or a variation of that same product picture that you can include in your product review and link it to your website's Product review post so either way you win

Hi
Do you have to get followers first before starting to create pins and boards?

Hi Rehina,

You don't need followers before starting on Pinterest. Just create your account and start creating. Followers will come.

Hi there
Does to repin an image on pintrest mean the same as saving pins to your own board? And does that help?

Thanks Nekko. I've been receiving emails from Pinterest for years now. But I never really knew what it was about or how it worked. Thank you for your informative lesson. Now I'll be able to add Pinterest to my list of social media links. Jim
