Keyword Mapping

Create a page/Post that focuses around a particular keyword.

Think about which keywords relate to a single topic. (Very important)

Write the keyword down ( spread-sheet or such like) for later reference as you do not want to duplicate it. (Also very important)

USE GOOGLE ANALYTICS TO TRACK YOUR PAGES/POSTS PERFORMANCE.

Whilst in analytics, look at organic visitors to see.

Whilst it is possible that you are not receiving traffic for these exact terms, you should receive traffic from similar phrases that are on your site - SEMANTICS

Look into the engagement levels to determine how well that page/post is meeting the needs of your visitors.

REMEMBER THIS - Optimizing pages is not about trying to trick Google into ranking you any higher! No, it is about how well you are matching you post/page to meet with the users intent. Whether that be giving information or selling a product.

After all, the goal of a well optimized page is to help the search engine better understand the page/post so if it is done well, then naturally it will rank much higher.

ie (Which pages from your site are most relevant to a search query.)

In time, it well help your sites architecture as it will help you see how each page/post is related to one another.

Thank you for discussing this about grouped keywords/synonyms:
"Remember to use your grouped keywords/synonyms in the pages/posts.
YES, you should target only one keyword, make one your focus, but sprinkle a few others and synonyms of, that you have already done a page/post on."
So my first article was on keyword "how to build network marketing business" but as I analyse for my 2nd article I can see how many are similar/synonyms
QUESTIONS:
1. Should I include the synonym "how to build YOUR network marketing business" in the FIRST article, rather than create a separate article on it?
2. How often should I have the words "how to build network marketing business" and "how to build YOUR network marketing business" in a 1000 word post?
3. So for my next article, would I group the orange ones "how to make money online using facebook/make money online using facebook" in the ONE article and use both?
Thank you

Thank you for explaining this in a very clear manner. I am new and just finished watching Kyle's training on keyword research. The only question that I have now is: how many times does my keyword need to appear in my review/article for me to really be tageting it? Or is it enough to just mention it once and google will know I am targeting that keyword? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Hi, It is best if the keyword appears in the first paragraph of your article and usually in the first sentence. You can use the keyword more once, but is has to make sense in the article. But is not a good idea to use the keyword to often because google will assume you are adding just to boost rating.

Hope that helps! No question is a dumb question.

That makes sense! Thank you so much!

Another questions that I have is can I be targeting several keywords in one article? Or should I only focus on one?

I will be publishing a post later on about KEYWORDS...
I have seen your 2 tutorials and I was wondering if you would mind if I put both your links in my post...I haven't got as many people following me as you have but I've got nearly 5000 and seem to get a good response when I send something out...
Hope you say YES...
All the best...
Steve

Thanks very much...
I will let you know when I do it...
It's all in the timing for me when I publish posts...
There's a huge time difference between South Australia and USA, so I usually time it for about 4:00pm EDT, so that's about 9 hours from now...
I hope you have a great weekend Simon! :)
