Learn how to easily use IFTTT to automate your posts to social media accounts.

  • Save a ton of time.
  • Fully automate the sharing of your website posts and pages without the use of expensive, complicated, and resource hogging WordPress Plugins.
  • Automate the sharing of other information to your social media.
  • Works with any social media account that IFTTT currently has a service for. This includes Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, Tumblr, and many more.
  • Publish directly from your WordPress Dashboard or Site Content.
  • Track all your automated social media posts in one place, automatically.
  • Fully customizable.
  • Uses RSS, so no worries about security with XML-RPC (you can't use it on WA hosted sites anyway).
  • Get creative and see how much time you can save.
  • All for FREE

Although this training video focuses on Facebook and Twitter, you can easily replace or add other social media accounts to suit your needs.

Note: The video example uses the WordPress Dashboard to publish posts, however, you can publish straight from Site Content. If you publish from Site Content I would put your featured image at the top of the article initially, just in case the IFTTT applet picks up your post in the RSS Feed before you have a chance to add a featured image.

Let me know what you think!

Hi, I’ve set everything up but does it post if you use site content?

Do you have IFTTT set up to monitor your site's RSS Feed and push to Buffer?

Yes, but in your video it only showed you using word press and not site content. I’m probably being a bit stupid here, but I want to get everything right before I launch it!!

That is correct. Since the app is looking at your sites RSS feed, publishing from Site Content makes no difference. The only issue you might run into with Site Content is the featured image since you can't add the featured image until you go to the WP Dashboard. IFTTT could pick up your post before you have a chance to add the featured image. The fix for that is have the featured image at the top of your article in Site Content when you publish. That way IFTTT will pick up the image regardless, and you will have time to make your necessary changes via WP Dashboard.

How that makes sense.

Hi, I’ve watched your video and I tried to find buffer but the only thing I can find costs a minimum of $15 a month. I know it says after you can downgrade to the free version but you only get 10 scheduled posts! Does this mean you can only post 10 blogs?

Buffer.com

You can post to 3 social media accounts with the free version.

Hope that helps.

That's great, thanks! I was also wondering what it means by 10 scheduled posts, also can you have multiple accounts so that you can do this with each website you have?
Sorry to be a pain!!

The 10 scheduled posts just referrers to the max number of posts you can have scheduled ahead of time for each social media account. I suppose you could have multiple accounts, but that probably goes against their terms of service.
